Alec Baldwin, Morgan Freeman press
Obama to fight climate change

Actors Alec Baldwin and Morgan Freeman are among the stars warning President Obama that his legacy will rest on what he does to stop climate change. In an advertisement that ran Monday in Beltway publications, the stars call on Obama to exercise “the strongest resolve in fighting the climate crisis on every front.” “Your legacy as 44th President of the United States rests firmly on your leadership on climate disruption. Only the president has the power to lead an effort on the scale and with the urgency we need to phase out fossil fuels and lead America,

Comments:
As if he needs encouragement from these two morons. Why should they care? They have millions and millions of dollars. This travesty wouldn´t effect them.

We know that the amount of carbon dioxide released by man is a very small amount of that in the atmosphere. We don´t know how the oceans or even the tundra interact with the atmosphere. The CO2 seems to lag warming on a geological scale casting doubt on the possibility that it is the cause. A thousand dollars invested in better sanitation yield much more lives saved than thousand in CO2 reduction. Nature has urinated on the projected temperature rise over the last 16 years. Why don´t you rich actors contribute some millions and save the tax payers a couple of dimes. Alec, are you still here?

I remember climate change when I eas a little boy in the 30s. In the summer it was hot.In the fall it started getting cooler and I had to rake leaves. In the winter it got cold and my nose would run.In the spring it started to get warm again and I started to play baseball.

Fight climate change? Now how the heck does that work exactly? Have these people never, ever read anything about history? Climate changes....it always has, it always will. There now just lay your little heads down and give your teeny, tiny brains a rest.

When Baldwin and Freeman (shield yourself from the bright light) agree about its urgency, there is only one thing to do: stop the damn climate from changing! A tightly written piece of legislation should do the trick.

Freeman was never that conservative - although he often played one in the movies. He hates the Tea Party and check out his ads extolling ´´gay marriage´´.

In 2007, then Senator Barack Obama appeared on CNN´s Larry King Live and called on U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales to resign. Obama said Gonzales was acting more like the president´s attorney than the people´s attorney and viewed himself as an "enabler of the administration." "Well, I voted against Alberto Gonzales confirmation for precisely the reason we are seeing now. I said this on the floor of the senate, that although he seemed to be a capable attorney, he seemed to conceive his role as being the president´s attorney instead of being the people´s attorney," Obama said.

MARK LEVIN: So why didn´t Chairman Issa hold an investigative hearing a year ago? Why didn´t Chairman Camp, all Republicans, hold an investigative hearing a year ago, and all the other tripping over themselves right now? I´ll tell you why. Because the establishment Republicans, the RINO Republicans, despise the Tea Party. They despise the conservative movement. We exist to be managed, to be shuttled to the polling place, to vote for their candidates. The Karl Roves of the world, and all the rest of them. They fight us in the primaries, they fight us at the grassroots.

House Speaker John A. Boehner on Thursday flatly ruled out chances of the House passing the Senate’s immigration bill, saying his chamber will debate its own bill instead. The Ohio Republican and his top lieutenants in the party issued a joint statement that seemed designed to tamp down some of the momentum behind the Senate bill, which emerged from a committee on a bipartisan 13-5 vote this week, and to stake out a House GOP position. “While we applaud the progress made by our Senate colleagues, there are numerous ways in which

During friendly questioning from Rep. Hank “I fear that Guam will capsize!” Johnson in Congress last week, Attorney General Eric Holder offered the following statement. In regard to potential prosecution of the press for the disclosure of material. This is not something I’ve ever been involved in, heard of, or would think would be wise policy. He made that statement before the facts about the sweep on Fox News’ James Rosen were known. Since then, it’s come to light that Holder himself approved the subpoena that, among other things, named Rosen as a criminal co-conspirator.

As the saying goes, scratch a liberal and you’ll find a tyrant underneath. NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo is but the latest example. He shoved a very restrictive and ill-considered gun law through the state legislature in the dead of night. Among its flaws, the law criminalized police officers who tote firearms with magazines that hold more than seven rounds. Sheriffs around the state have objected to the law. Cuomo summoned them to the state capitol under what appears to be a false pretext, and used the meeting to threaten them into silence. Cuomo invited

The public got its first look Thursday at Lois Lerner, who has gone from faceless IRS bureaucrat to the face that launched what feels like 1,000 congressional hearings and conspiracy theories. But it was only a brief sighting since she didn´t stay long at a House hearing to further probe her role in how some IRS workers came to target conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status. (Snip)She did make a short statement to declare her innocence, however. Lerner´s motivation was more transparent than much of what the IRS has done in connection with this controversy. When you get right down to it, the political targeting and stalling of tax-exempt applications by the IRS was an effort to defund the Tea Party. Rick Santelli, one of the Tea Party founders and my CNBC colleague, was the first to make this point. I’ve taken it a step further: The IRS was taking the Tea Party out of play for the 2012 election, as it looked to avoid a repeat of 2010 and another Tea Party landslide. There are a lot of numbers out there.

Conservative radio host Mark Levin is very skeptical of the idea that President Obama had absolutely no idea about the IRS tea party targeting before the story broke in the news mere weeks ago. Levin declared adamantly that it is a “flat-out, bald-faced lie” that Obama didn’t know beforehand, citing prior reports by a few conservative news outlets picking up on the news well before the 2012 presidential election.
