on Global Warming

CNN anchor Deb Feyerick asked Saturday afternoon if an approaching asteroid, which will pass by Earth on February 15, “is an example of, perhaps, global warming?”Moments earlier, before an ad break, she segued from the Northeast blizzard to a segment with Bill Nye “the science guy,” by pointing to global warming: “Every time we see a storm like this lately, the first question to pop into a lot of people’s minds is whether or not global warming is to blame? I’ll talk to Bill Nye, ‘the science guy,’ about devastating storms and climate change.”

Not parody.

People are becomming pagan and superstitous.
It´s the Global Warm nuts who worship Gai and believe in healing crystals etc.

Society is becomming the 11th century.

Pretty soon it´ll be back to the 7th
with the Muslims.

Say, let´s hook her up with Congressman Johnson, the one who thinks the Island of Guam may capsize if we put too much weight on one side. Perfect genetic match.

"Nye resisted confirming her hypothesis."

Well, this is pretty funny for two reasons:

1) He´s not stupid.
2) He´s not a "scientist" either (though he´s often played one on TV, nyuk nyuk nyuk).
Nye holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering, and then went to work for Boeing where, oddly enough, he ´starred´ in training films. After that, his career has been as an entertainer, so any attempt at trying to explain globaloney would have been just that - baloney.

It´s now officially impossible to do a global warming parody.

Actually I think Hurricane Sandy was caused by CNN.

We just need to face it. Every problem in the world, no matter what it is, is caused by global warming, climate change or whatever the libs are calling it today.

Reply 9 - Posted by: veritas, 2/10/2013 12:19:57 AM     (No. 9168119)

Not so fast. What do we have, 5 different American [read: highly-polluting!] cars on Mars? Way out there, out next to the asteroid belt? A coincidence? I think not.

It´s not enough that Conservatives are warming the Earth. Now we see they´re warming two planets.

#5: Many thanks for the background on Nye. What a surprise.

#6: You´re right. Bummer.

Glad to have Bill Nye´s background, #5. No wonder he´s the "science guy."

So is my 8-year old neighbor (a science guy).

When the "faces" of our news media say things like this, the critics should immediately ask what university they attended. The universities have to take some blame for their unbelievably ignorant liberal arts graduates. The dumbing down of America starts in the schools, and it´s a racket perpetrated by the universities.

Global warmers are redistributionists parading as followers of science. I doubt this CNN anchor got that far, though. She merely exposed her total ignorance of astronomy.

"Got the bubble-headed bleach blonde...on CNN. Global warming causes asteroids and other nonsense. They think everyone is dense... they spread Dirty Laundry!"

Thanks Deb Feyerick, for providing more proof that journalism has devolved into the dumbest profession on this planet. Your ignorance exceeds the average ignorance of most journalists. For your next blathering, look to the stars. They actually do produce heat.

She may or may not believe this. Her purpose was probably to get in a plug for man-made climate change, and she knows some of her viewers are moronic enough to buy it.

Reply 19 - Posted by: xique, 2/10/2013 1:35:35 PM     (No. 9168835)

She was on the right track but didn´t go far enough. You see, global warming is causing the sun to heat up which, in turn, blah blah. It´s just that you deniers can´t see what doesn´t exist because you´re not progressive enough. Get with the program!

"...She may or may not believe this."

This assumes a high enough level of intelligence to believe or disbelieve. I expect she is just one more of those mass-produced journo-robots from any of the many bloated journo factories. She has not, and will not, move beyond the commie-centric foolishness passed off as knowledge in those dens of evil.

It is CNN if her Kool-aid provider (Democrat Pusher) says it, it must be true, now give her the kool-aid.
The delusional are easily manpulated which is why so many of them work for the propaganda media (CNN, MSNBC, etc...).

An IRS supervisor working in Washington told congressional investigators that she personally reviewed applications from groups for tax-exempt status, in testimony that appears to show the agency’s scrutiny of conservative groups extended beyond the confines of the office in Cincinnati. Holly Paz, who was a supervisor in the Internal Revenue Service’s tax-exempt status division, indicated during an interview with congressional investigators that she did review such applications, but indicated that she believed “tea party” meant political advocacy in general — not necessarily conservative groups.

Political appointees at the Defense Department, the CIA and the White House brushed aside concerns from career officials about helping two Hollywood filmmakers research their 2012 movie about the top-secret Navy SEAL raid that killed Osama bin Laden, according to a report from the Pentagon’s inspector general. CIA Director Leon E. Panetta, who had been nominated to take over at the Pentagon; Mike Vickers, defense undersecretary for intelligence; and politically appointed public affairs staff in both agencies and the White House helped secure

The Supreme Court ruled today in Arizona v. Inter Tribal Council that federal law does not allow states the option of requiring voters to prove they are American citizens when they register to vote. The National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (NVRA, or “Motor Voter”) creates a standardized national system for registering to vote in federal elections. It allows for registration three ways: (1) in person, (2) when you get your driver’s license, or (3) by mail. The Election Assistance Commission (EAC, created by a later federal law in 2002)

WASHINGTON — The National Security Agency sweeps up data on millions of cellphones and Internet communications under secret court orders. But as it mounts a rigorous defense of its surveillance, the agency has disclosed new details that portray its efforts as tightly controlled and limited in scope, while successful in thwarting potential plots. On Sunday, officials said that though the NSA is authorized to collect "geolocational" information that can pinpoint the location of callers, it chooses not to. t looked bad last week, but it looks much, much worse now. The federal government has been spying and lying. The only comfort is that, apparently, it´s been largely incompetent at both: Nobody believes the lies, and the spying wasn´t even able to catch the Tsarnaev brothers. Not long ago, the Director of National Intelligence assured us that the federal government does not "wittingly" spy on Americans. That has turned out to be a lie. As Fred Kaplan writes in Slate, "We as a nation are being asked to let the National Security Agency continue doing the intrusive

Perhaps a suddenly firearm-friendly President Obama can put in a good word for Jared Marcum. In April, Marcum, an eighth-grader at Logan Middle School in Logan, W. Va., was arrested when he refused to take off his NRA t-shirt. The New York Daily News reports: The clothing kerfuffle began when Marcum wore a shirt bearing the NRA’s logo and a hunting rifle. As he stood in line in the cafeteria, a teacher ordered him to either change shirts or turn it inside out. Marcum declined and was sent to the office, where an officer

Intervention in Syria Is a Very Bad Idea

Syria is turning out to be a sort of Spanish Civil War of our age, with Hezbollah and Iran playing the role of fascist Italy and Germany, and the Islamic nations and jihadists that of Stalin’s Russia, as the moderates disappear and the messy conflict becomes a proxy war for greater powers, with worse to come. There were always problems for the Obama administration intervening in Syria besides the usual bad/worse choices in the Middle East between authoritarianism and Islamic extremism and the president’s own preference for sonorous sermons rather than rapid action

A group of whistleblowers, including a number of aviation experts, have come forward in a new documentary to claim that the official explanation for the crash of TWA Flight 800 was wrong and a gas tank explosion did not bring down the flight off the coast of Long Island 17 years ago. However, the six whistleblowers, all part of the original investigation team, stopped short of saying the plane was shot down. Flight 800, a Boeing 747, had just taken off from JFK airport with 230 people aboard on July 17, 1996 enroute to Paris when it exploded

An attorney whose firm represents two Benghazi whistleblowers said Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, lied to the Senate when he said there was never a “stand down” order during the Benghazi attack on Sept. 11, 2012. “What was fascinating is that he explained his lie to them,” Joe DiGenova, an attorney representing one of the whistleblowers, told CNSNews.com. “He actually said they were sent to Tripoli. They were needed in Benghazi,” said DiGenova, a former U.S. attorney, now with the Washington firm of DiGenova & Toensing.

Amid a steady rise of backlash, Edward Snowden, the 29-year-old former National Security Agency contractor who was the source of a spring of leaks about the agency´s surveillance methods, conducted a live chat on The Guardian´s website Monday morning. Judging from some of the pointed questions he´s been asked and the reaction to newly leaked revelations over the past few days, it´s clear that much of the sympathy and support Snowden had built up for his early exposures is eroding. Many Americans supported his decision to leak information about a pair of National Security Agency surveillance programs, which, he detailed, gathered information

Likening religious schools to segregation--a racist system that forced blacks to attend different schools and use different facilities than whites in the American South--President Barack Obama told a town hall meeting for youth in Belfast, Northern Ireland on Monday that there should not be Catholic and Protestant schools because such schools cause division. "Because issues like segregated schools and housing, lack of jobs and opportunity--symbols of history that are a source of pride for some and pain for others--these are not tangential to peace; they’re essential to it,"

Charlie Rose last night asked President Obama his new Syria policy. The president first objected to it being called a new policy. "I´m not sure you can characterize this as a new policy. This is consistent with the policy that I´ve had throughout," he said. Obama then explained the goal is regional stability, and especially in Syria. "Really, what we´re trying to do is take sides against extremists of all sorts and in favor of people who are in favor of moderation, tolerance, representative government, and over the long-term, stability and prosperity for the people of Syria," said Obama.

Listening to Barack Obama give his speech in Belfast on Monday, it was hard not to stifle a yawn. I kept waiting for the part when he would say something interesting, but, about three quarters of the way through, realised it wasn’t going to come. Judging from television pictures some of his young audience felt the same, after the initial rush of euphoria of receiving the rock star president in their midst had passed. This is not surprising, for we had already heard this number about the inspirational role of the Northern Ireland peace process and the Emerald Isle’s

Marco Rubio. Paul Ryan. The IRS. Illegal immigration. And fraud to the tune of billions.. Now there’s a combustible mix. Let’s start with the IRS, illegal immigration and fraud. We’ll come back in a minute to Senator Rubio and Congressman Ryan. For those who came in late, a year before the IRS scandals burst onto the scene in early May of 2013, an alert investigative reporter for WTHR-Indianapolis (Channel 13), Bob Segall by name, produced a stunning piece of journalism. Segall’s video report is found here and we will quote from his story for the basics.
