Karl Rove has had a tough week since he announced he would be forming a new super PAC to help establishment Republicans fend off primary challenges from Tea Party candidates. The left had seemed to be giving Rove a pass for once. But he’s been hammered from the right by everyone from S.E. Cupp to Mark Levin to Donald Trump. Now, Lawrence O’Donnell has entered the fight, pitting Rove against the changing face of the GOP that he’s supposedly trying to help. O’Donnell set up his segment by saying, “Republicans are at war with Karl Rove.
#2, I agree about Lawrence O´Donnell. But don´t compare that viper to Mark Levin. While they both have a tendency to rant, at least Levin has good reason to do so. He expresses the outrage that so many of us feel.
#5 has it wrong as usual. If we don´t clean out the moderate rino rot in our party that would have us be dem lite, then we will never catch the dem majority, which by the way is due to fraud and cheating.
The left´s interest in this food fight is they think Rove is damaging the tea party. They hated Rove for years but now they think he´s great because they think he can bury the tea party. The problem is conservatives are tired of the cave in establishment and have more faith in tea party people´s convictions.
Tea party people are imperfect politicians and simply don´t have the time or resources on how to learn how play the game, so they say things with an apparent tin ear.
Congress was intended to have everyday people go serve for a few years and that´s been lost to the career politicians and lobbyists.
If anybody is giving any of these pundits (Levin, Rush, Hannity, whomever) whose careers and bank accounts are predicated on the great unwashed dissatisfaction with the current Marxist government the time of day buy their peddled soap and endless mindless books, along with the likes of the idiot Rove and his handlers, they are wasting their time.
We don´t need any of these loudmouths to point out the obvious: we´ve got a Marxist government that has driven the country right into the ground, what fortunes you may have are being dribbled away, there is not job development and won´t be until we´re shed of Bow-Boy and the demorats, and all that´s happening now is moving rubble around which is exactly what Bow-Boy and his communist/socialist parasites want.
The issue is who´s going to step up, like Cruze, and work to defeat these traitors. And then, we vote them in office exactly as we did with Cruze. And please note, we did it without the help of Levin, Hannity, Rush, or the idiot Rove and his handlers, and in spite of Bow-Bow and his worms.
So, auger the all. Turn ´em off, every damn one of ´em.
Pay attention and when the opportunity rolls around to defeat these anti-American Marxists, we´ll do our best to do exactly that. Resoundingly.
Karl Rove is free to form another SuperPAC , just as the Tea Party is free to be their own separate political party. It defies logic that the Tea Party would voluntarily remain part of a Republican Party they despise so much. The time and energy wasted on a daily basis by the Tea Party fighting with Republicans could be better used building party infrastructure , a donor system , etc. The only ones who benefit from the constant strife are the Democrats and the media.
The tea party is an idea a set of principals, there is no established party. Some wackos and religious fanatics wormed there way into it. The tea party was about low taxes and limited government, not about women having spontaneous abortions after they where raped. I find it very telling some of you are so enraged that Rove may be attempting to manipulate the primary process, but didn´t mind the democrats manipulating the process to make that nut Todd Akin the senate candidate, who went on to lose the easiest senate race of 2012. if some of you only put half the energy into defeating democrats as you put into hating Rove, we might get somewhere.
#8, #13 has it right: let´s welcome as many people as possible into the tent, RINO or not. Why should we fall into the trap Lawrence O´Donnell and the rest of the lefties in the mainstream media set for us? If you support private enterprise, self-reliance, and personal responsibility, come on down and vote for us. What is so hard about this? Do not fall for those on the other side who want to foment a civil war on the right.
If you think the establishment GOP supports private enterprise, self reliance, and personal responsibility you´re mistaken. If they support anything it´s big government. Period. And they´re very happy being in the minority. They won´t even let their candidates differentiate themselves from democrats. It´s not just about Rove although he´s been a pathetic embarrassment for years. It´s about the entire establishment. They must be removed for us to have a chance at saving this country. The priceless Mark Levin is completely separate from Hannity and Limbaugh, the latter two strictly establishment wallpaper and Rove enablers as is Roger Ailes. Where did poster above get his/her information that Mr. Levin had nothing to do with recent grass roots successes? I´ve been a regular listener to his show for a long time so I know the poster is incorrect.
Murfreesboro, N.C.- Snow came early to the cotton and sorghum fields here, sending dozens of cash-strapped families to the food bank on a recent afternoon for frozen chickens, cucumbers and canned green beans. Quinetta Rascoe was waiting for them. Wearing a bright pink overcoat, a glittery rainbow scarf and an infectious grin, Rascoe climbed out of a Toyota sedan carrying a stack of Obamacare brochures. She eyed about 60 cars that were snaking into the parking lot behind Murfreesboro Baptist Church, prompting an unusual traffic jam one block off the town´s dozy Main Street. The food truck was late, and
Los Angeles County sheriff´s detectives allege that two men stole the t-top roof panel of a $400,000 Porsche after it crashed Saturday in Santa Clarita, killing "Fast and Furious" star Paul Walker and another man. The department announced Thursday that one man was in custody and that another suspect was expected to surrender to detectives soon. The one suspect, 18-year-old Jameson Witty, was arrested on suspicion of grand theft and tampering with evidence. He was being held on $20,000 bail, officials said. In a news release, the Sheriff´s Department said the alleged theft occurred while the Porsche was being towed away.
Washington -The young black university student who walked up to the microphone at an anti-apartheid rally in 1980 was, by his own admission, cynical about the virtues of political activism. Barack Obama had spent his early years of college submerged in books by African American writers by the likes of James Baldwin, W E B Du Bois and Malcolm X, wrestling with his own mixed racial identity. But it was the campaign for equality thousands of miles away in South Africa that first spurred Obama, then aged 19, into action: taking part in a divestment rally in his sophomore year
Elaborate funeral plans have been set in motion in South Africa following the death of the country’s revered first black president Nelson Mandela. The memorial, expected to last ten days, will be an unparalleled event in South Africa’s history, drawing a plethora of foreign dignitaries of every stripe, royals and a smattering of celebrities. South African President Jacob Zuma ordered the nation´s flags to be flown at half-mast beginning today and to remain that way until after Mandela´s funeral, which he announced would be held next Sunday. WASHINGTON— President Barack Obama marked the end of Hanukkah with not one, but two receptions at the White House on Thursday. He noted a rare quirk in the calendar that overlapped Thanksgiving and the start of the eight-day Jewish holiday. At the first gathering, Obama recognized guests who are credited with coming up with some unusual names for the joint holiday, such as "Thanksgivukkah," a combination of Thanksgiving and Hanukkah, and "menurkey," a blend of the words menorah and turkey. Menorahs were lit at both receptions. The White House said it expected about 500 people at each. American Jewish leaders and representatives
ARLINGTON, Va.- Conservative groups in 34 U.S. states plan coordinated assaults on taxes, healthcare, public sector pensions and the environment, organizing papers indicate. They also plan a strategy to push for expanded access to school vouchers to encourage home schooling, the documents published by Britain´s Guardian indicate. The newspaper published the papers in conjunction with the Texas Observer in Austin and the Portland (Maine) Press Herald. The documents can be found at tinyurl.com/UPI-SPN. The conservative strategy, organized and coordinated by the State Policy Network in Arlington, Va., includes proposals to cut public sector pensions, lower government-worker wages, eliminate income taxes,
Republican Party Chairman Reince Priebus said Thursday that little lies like the White House saying Obama had never met his uncle show President Obama is untrustworthy. “The American people are seeing Barack Obama for what he is. He says one thing and does another. He’s been lying to the American people,” Priebus, the chairman of the Republican National Committee, said in interview on Fox News’s “Hannity” show Thursday night. “These little lies, like, you know, lying about whether you met someone or not that´s been significant in your life— listen, those are big things because it goes to the character
I have never been much of a conspiracy theorist. For me it was always Oswald by himself from the Texas School Book Depository and nothing in the intervening fifty years has disabused me of this notion. For the most part, I’m an Occam’s Razor kind of guy — the most obvious explanation is likely to be true. (Snip) To put it bluntly, Occam’s Razor has moved. Things that were once possibilities now seem almost certainties to me. Principal among those is that Obama’s academic records are perpetually unavailable for a reason — and that reason is most likely that they reveal
One of President Obama´s chief political assets has been his ability to excite young people like almost no politician in history. But the days of America´s youth fawning over the president are over. A new Harvard University Institute of Politics poll released Wednesday confirms what other surveys have shown in recent months: Millennials have soured on Obama so much this year that their opinion of him largely mirrors the American public´s. Even though Obama does not ever have to face another election, he should be worried about the findings for a couple of reasons, which we will dive into momentarily.
Last summer on his $100 million family tour of Africa, Barack Obama hoped for a priceless photo op with Nelson Mandela, the ailing freedom pioneer who went from prison cell to the presidency of South Africa. Mandela´s family suggested that wouldn’t happen. So, the Obamas did a photo op in Mandela´s former prison cell. Which Obama’s White House quickly tweeted upon word of the icon´s passing at 95. [Skip] But Obama was also caught staring at television coverage of Mandela’s passing, which became Obama’s Photo of the Day.
A stunning new study unveiled on Fox News´ Hannity finds that President Barack Obama’s White House calendar records just one face-to-face meeting between Obama and his Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Kathleen Sebelius in the more than three-and-a-half years leading up to the disastrous Obamacare launch. The startling statistic comes from a new Government Accountability Institute (GAI) analysis of Obama’s own official White House calendar, as well as the Politico presidential calendar, and raises new questions about Obama’s executive leadership and management throughout the implementation of his singular legislative achievement. More alarming still, the president’s schedule lists 277 private
Hardly a week goes by without Hillary Clinton receiving another award. Last month she was named a “Global Champion” by the International Medical Corps, received the American Patriot Award at the National Defense University Foundation and the Hermandad Award from the Mexican American Leadership Initiative. [Snip] At this rate, if a bunch of elderly left-wing Swedes toss her the Nobel Peace Prize early on, the way they did to Obama, it will barely rate mention among all the other glittering trophies that have been bestowed on a woman whose only actual accomplishment was being married to a crooked governor with
[Video] President Obama on Wednesday declared that addressing income inequality would be the focus of “all” of the White House’s efforts “for the rest of my presidency.” In a sweeping address that touched on raising the minimum wage, investing in infrastructure and ending tax breaks for the wealthy, Obama warned that the American economy has become “profoundly unequal,” declaring economic mobility the “challenge of our time.” “The combined trends of increasing inequality and decreasing mobility pose a fundamental threat to the American dream, our way of life, and what we stand for around the globe,” he said in an hour-long
Speaker John Boehner said his party should support gay Republican congressional candidates and urged his colleagues to “be a little more sensitive” when running against women. “Some of our members just aren’t as sensitive as they ought to be,” Boehner said. When asked if he thinks his party should support gay candidates, Boehner simply said: “I do.”
