Hadiya Pendleton funeral:
´Beloved angel´ ... ´More
precious than rubies´

Chicago Tribune, by Bridget Doyle, Dahleen Glanton*

The funeral of slain teen Hadiya Pendleton began today amid large crowds, long lines and heavy security prompted by the attendance of first lady Michelle Obama. While family and friends kept the focus on the 15-year-old girl who was shot dead in a South Side park, the first lady´s appearance inevitably brought attention to anti-gun efforts nationwide. Hadiya´s pastor, Courtney C. Maxwell from the Greater Deliverance Temple Church of Christ, opened the services about 11:15 a.m. after a heart-shaped balloon was placed near her casket. He thanked everyone for being at the Greater Harvest Baptist Church, including elected officials.

Oxygen sucker, nothing like making a circus out of a funeral. I wonder if the Secret Service guys ever cringe when they go into these type of situations. I would hope so.

This is all about MOOCH. Fire up the jet, get the security detail, and of course her personal assistants and wardrobe assistants. Let´s see, Mooch is wearing a stunning Vera Wang gown which emphasizes her curvaceous butt......ah, tell me again, what is the little girl´s name. Wonder what the bill for this little trip will cost?

but, she be entitled, you ´no!!!!!

She seems to have had a wonderful family and friends who surrounded her with faith and love. So despicable of the politicians and Pfleger the Pig to butt in.

It´s a shame that Holder´s people whacked her.

FLOTUS foto op.
Prayers for the family and friends of this young lady.

Instead of makig this about gun control, what about control of the thugs who commit these crimes?

...sad by all means for family and friends. But be honest, if there was no tie in to 0bama, there would be no coverage to the extent this has received...

And of course Phleger:

Father Michael Pfleger spoke and called Hadiya an "innocent victim of gun violence,’’ asking, “When did we lose our soul?”

He told the crowd that “we must become like Jesus’’ and become “the interrupters’’ of genocide, an evil that is killing our children.

“Welcome home, sweet Hadiya. See you on the other side," he said.

He won´t be welcoming anyone home there. He will be on another side.

If this priest wants to interrupt genocide of children, he best get on the subject of abortion, especially amongst the black community.

Reply 10 - Posted by: Illinois Mom, 2/9/2013 5:55:48 PM     (No. 9167859)

Believe me I HATE to defend Phleger but he does live in the neighborhood and has been calling parents and the community on the resposibilty they bear in the deaths of the innocents for a long time.

He´s extreme in many areas but he lives this violence daily.

I really wonder how he feels about his great buddy Barak absolutely turning his back on his neighbors while they die. He hasn´t been pictured with Obama, that I have seen, during any campaign trip O made here while running for office. BUT...BO made time to go to Connecticut for the White kids. (A very big deal for those who view the world through the prism of race)

How many other "honor students" were killed last year whose names were never even mentioned in any article? Wonder how many of the other Chicago parents who lost a child feel about this circus?

But this girl just ´happened´ to march in O´s parade so out come these despicable, shameless oxygen suckers (thank you Cat)to take the emphasis off the grieving family and make it all about them.

Pfleger should be flogged as should the rest of that unholy bunch.

Shameful of Moooochele to go there.... Every single day Children are killed in Chicago. A city with tone of the strictest gun laws in the US. Are you crying for them Mooochele. Words can´t describe how sick I am of these racist grifters....

Chicago´s problem is not gun violence. Its problem is gang violence.

If Moochie would allow them to have decent school lunches they might not be so intent on killing one another.

#11 is so right. Where were all the politicians for the past several years as hundreds of young children have been murdered by thugs and gangs?

Reply 17 - Posted by: JAN, 2/9/2013 9:06:09 PM     (No. 9167973)

Let´s get the killers off the streets.

Better to focus on the weapon rather than the lack of respect for innocent life.

President Obama spoke of the importance of fathers to their sons on Friday after a young man he met at a community center in Baltimore mentioned wanting to provide for his sons. “You know, one of the biggest challenges – I grew up without a father,” Obama said at the Center for Urban Families, which serves fathers and their families. A man named Marcus Dixon had just told him about the center´s key role in helping him learn to provide for his family after being released from jail. WASHINGTON There´s an irony in the Internal Revenue Service´s crackdown on conservative groups. The nation´s tax agency has admitted to inappropriately scrutinizing smaller tea party organizations that applied for tax-exempt status. But the IRS largely maintained a hands-off policy with the much larger, big-budget organizations on the left and right that were most influential in the 2012 elections and are organized under a section of the tax code that allows them to hide their donors. "The IRS goes AWOL when wealthy and powerful forces want to break the law in order to hide their

Two Congressmen are asking the Treasury Department if it inappropriately scrutinized conservative-owned businesses the same way it targeted Tea Party groups filing for tax-exempt status. Republicans Mike Kelly (PA-03) and Jim Renacci (OH-16) circulated a letter Thursday requesting Treasury Secretary Jack Lew to release documents detailing the process and methodology the Automotive Task Force used to shut down General Motors dealerships in 2009 during the automotive industry crisis. Renacci´s Northeast Ohio Chevrolet dealership was closed in 2010 after losing a battle with General Motors. Congress loaned General Motors $50 billion in 2009 after GM declared bankruptcy, which resulted

SAN JOSE— For most Americans in the United States, Armed Forces Day is not on the lists of likely holidays to honor the country’s military in celebrations of Memorial Day or Veteran’s Day. Sadly, most Americans may not even realize that Armed Forces Day is even a legitimate holiday. Armed Forces Day was established to be celebrated on the third Saturday in May. It started during Harry Truman’s administration when he led an effort to consolidate the various holidays supporting each separate branch of the military into a simple unified holiday to honor the four branches together.

Dorothy, the 14-year-old peregrine falcon that since 2002 has nested on a 40th-floor ledge of the Cathedral of Learning in Oakland, was perched on the limestone railing next to that nest and her lone chick shortly before 9 a.m. Friday. She´d just fed the 22-day-old chick a small bird for breakfast. "Baltimore oriole ... again," said Kate St. John, who blogs about the city´s peregrines. Someone else watching from the office inside the window next to the nest said it looked like Dorothy was calmly "chilling." Ms. St. John´s response was that nothing could be further from the truth.

WASHINGTON — An Internal Revenue Service watchdog testified Friday that he told Obama administration officials in June that he was looking into allegations the IRS targeted conservative groups for extra scrutiny when they applied for tax-exempt status. The revelation by Inspector General Russell George came at the first congressional hearing on the IRS misconduct, which has generated a political firestorm since it was disclosed a week ago. George’s testimony represented the first evidence that officials in the Obama administration knew of the allegations as long as a year ago, during the presidential campaign.

Obama administration officials who were in key positions on Sept. 11, 2012, acknowledge that a range of mistakes were made the night of the attacks on the U.S. missions in Benghazi, and in messaging to Congress and the public in the aftermath. The officials spoke to CBS News in a series of interviews and communications under the condition of anonymity so that they could be more frank in their assessments. They do not all agree on the list of mistakes and it's important to note that they universally claim that any errors or missteps did not cost lives and reflect "incompetence rather than malice or cover up.

Watching President Obama trying to dodge raindrops and responsibility yesterday reminded me of the moment when Dorothy pulls back the curtain and discovers that the Wizard of Oz is “just a man.” Stripped of his spell of mystery and power, the wizard is worse than mortal. He’s a fake. So it was with Obama in the Rose Garden. His performance was tired and trite, ordinary to the point of dull. His veneer of passion was so transparent that you could see him trying to summon his old-time magic by pushing the buttons

STANDING BEFORE reporters Thursday, President Obama declined an invitation to compare the recent scandals weighing down his administration with those that forced President Nixon to resign in 1974. So allow us to do the work for him: There is no comparison. Nixon, in a series of crimes that collectively came to be known as Watergate, directed from the White House and Justice Department a concerted campaign against those he perceived as political enemies, in the process subverting the FBI, the IRS, other government agencies and the electoral process to his nefarious purposes. Mr. Obama has done nothing of the kind.

Ms. Abedin did not disclose the arrangement — or how much income she earned — on her financial report. It requires officials to make public any significant sources of income. An adviser to Mrs. Clinton, Philippe Reines, said that Ms. Abedin was not obligated to do so. The disclosure of the agreement that Ms. Abedin made with the State Department comes as her husband,

In the wake of one of the worst abuses of government power in recent history, many are rushing to frame the Internal Revenue Service scandal as simply an attack on conservative activists. That view risks creating a partisan political football and misses a fundamentally scarier abuse that exceeds the scandals of Watergate or any other prior government abuse. The IRS has admitted that since May 2010 it targeted grassroots-conservative organizations that had applied for tax-exempt status, unfairly subjecting them to rigorous scrutiny due to their political leanings. Such groups were told they were required to comply with IRS requests,

The lawmaker leading the charge to investigate the Benghazi terror attack on Friday subpoenaed the co-author of a report that slammed the State Department but didn´t interview Hillary Clinton. House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) formally demanded that retired ambassador Thomas Pickering submit to being deposed by the committee next Thursday. The subpoena comes in the wake of a series of acrimonious public exchanges this week between the two men. Issa didn´t issue a subpoena to former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Michael Mullen, who co-authored the Benghazi report with Pickering.
