CHICAGO — First lady Michelle Obama will join some of Illinois’ most recognizable politicians and clergy Saturday to mourn a 15-year-old honor student whose death has drawn attention to staggering gun violence in the nation’s third-largest city. But Hadiya Pendleton’s family says her Saturday funeral service won’t be about politics, but about remembering a girl who loved to dance, once appeared in an anti-gang video and died just days after performing at one of President Barack Obama’s inauguration events.

Comments:
Uh huh. No one will pay attention to the obtrusive political hacks Mooch, Jarrett and Duncan who will be attending. s/o

Standing on the bodies of the dead young; that´s what liberals do best. If it isn´t aborted babies, it´s murdered kindergardeners or murdered high school honor students.
When will the scales fall from the eyes of the American people?

Will Mooch be wearing something that looks like upholstery or a disco outfit?

And where was the first lady for all the other funerals of murder victims in Chicago this year, or last year, or the year before that?

In other words, the Obama Regime will be barging in on this girl´s funeral and family´s grief.

Let me give you another example. A couple years ago, a local state rep who had served for years and had many friends -- locally, in the state, and among them, President G W Bush (who had by then left office), passed away.

President Bush personally called the widow with his condolences and was invited to the funeral. He declined, saying that the security and other impositions that his appearance would require, would not allow their family to have the rememberance they would desire.

But when it comes to the Obamas and the Clintons, move away. We´re coming and we´re in charge!

The family of the young teen should have politely requested that Michelle and all other politicians not attend the funeral. They didn´t know the young girl nor her family - this is just another disgusting photo-op.

Put the Federal officials and their security retinue as far back as possible. They don´t belong at that funeral and the crew will upset the proceedings. Its about the deceased girl and her family and friends, not about THEM.

Mom Cleopatra hauled Mooch to the open casket viewing and collapsed into Mooch´s arms, wailing.

I may be sick.

Recall that then Governor Bush did not go to the funeral of that poor black man who was dragged to death by some thugs in Texas. Mr. Bush was criticized & hated by the blacks because he was ´not showing respect´ by turning the funeral into a political carnival. Emotional theatrics & fake weeping is too often the expected norm for funerals in some black communities.

The signs keep accumulating that the IRS scandal is worse than liberals are willing to concede. On Bill Press´s radio show yesterday, a reporter with left-leaning Politico told Press that the Internal Revenue Service dragging its feet on applications for tax-exempt status from tea party groups probably affected the outcome of last year´s election. (Video after the jump) Here´s what Politico´s Lauren French told Press (audio) -- PRESS: So, Lauren, you´ve been covering this IRS scandal. How big is it really? On Wednesday, CNN anchor Jake Tapper dug into the controversial way in which members of President Barack Obama’s administration have apparently tried to intimidate whistleblowers in the government and the journalists that would investigate their stories. Tapper said that some, including the New York Times editorial board, have described the administration’s actions as “threatening fundamental freedoms of the press.” He warned Obama’s supporters to remember the precedent his administration is setting when a Republican next occupies the Oval Office. Tapper noted that the scandal surrounding the subpoenaing of Fox News reporter James Rosen’s personal telephone and email

Even though 132 members of Congress sent former Internal Revenue Service Commissioner Douglas Shulman letters about the IRS targeting of conservative groups, Shulman reiterated Wednesday that he did not have the full story until the inspector general’s report came out. “In the two years that this targeting was taking place, did any member of Congress contact you? Write you? About this particular subject? Ohio Republican Rep. Jim Jordan asked during a House Oversight hearing. “Did you get letters from Congress?”

The chief judge of the District’s federal court issued an unusual order Wednesday, apologizing to the public and the media for not making certain court documents widely available online. The gesture of transparency by U.S. District Judge Royce C. Lamberth comes at a time when the Obama administration is under scrutiny for an unprecedented number of leak investigations, including one showing that the Justice Department had secretly probed the news-gathering activities of Fox News reporter James Rosen. The investigation of Rosen was first reported Monday, after The Washington

In some other universe this would be shocking. In this universe it’s par for the course, and I don’t mean the golf course, but the guy who makes the golf course his second home. The US Attorney for the District of Columbia, Ronald C. Machen – the man responsible for the aggressive surveillance and phone record scrutiny at Fox News – is also a big donor to the Obama Campaigns. At the time of his appointment, the Washington Post wrote a profile on Machen including this tidbit: Over the years, he has donated $4,350 to Obama’s campaigns.

If in any of these situations even one person of influence had adhered to the basic tenets of liberalism all of these scandals could have been avoided. "When you grow government this big, these kinds of scandals are inevitable, and (President Obama) bears the responsibility for that," Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal told a group of Virginia Republicans over the weekend. Other conservatives are echoing this view -- that the scandals embroiling the administration undermine Obama´s push for an activist "big government." I guess when you are a hammer, everything looks like a nail. For the GOP, anything that

Former Rep. I’m running for mayor because I’ve been fighting for the middle class and those struggling to make it for my entire life.

The dam protecting the IRS scandal began to crack today when Lois Lerner, the IRS official who announced, and apologized for, the improper singling out of conservative-leaning organizations by IRS employees under her command, announced through her criminal defense lawyer that she will not testify as scheduled tomorrow before the House Oversight Committee. Rather, she will assert her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. This marks an enormous milestone in the IRS investigation. It can now be taken as more or less established that crimes were committed by Obama administration employees. Lerner’s lawyer tried to minimize the significance

The wheels came off the Obama administration yesterday. We learned of a startling assault on freedom of the press by the Department of Justice, following the revelation last week of the unprecedented information-gathering foray by that department against The Associated Press. Then, a few minutes later, the Justice Department’s inspector general released a report declaring that the US attorney in Arizona used the leak of a confidential memo to try to discredit a whistleblower in the notorious “gun-walking” scandal known as Fast and Furious (which got two federal agents killed). The leak was called “egregious.”

WASHINGTON – A top IRS official in the division that reviews nonprofit groups will invoke the Fifth Amendment and refuse to answer questions before a House committee investigating the agency’s improper screening of conservative nonprofit groups. Lois Lerner, the head of the exempt organizations division of the IRS, won’t answer questions about what she knew about the improper screening – or why she didn’t reveal it to Congress, according to a letter from her defense lawyer, William W. Taylor 3rd. Lerner was scheduled to appear before the House Oversight committee Wednesday.

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa said embattled IRS official Lois Lerner waived her Fifth Amendment rights and will be hauled back to appear before his panel again. The California Republican said Lerner’s Fifth Amendment right to avoid self-incrimination was voided when she gave an opening statement this morning denying any wrongdoing and professing pride in her government service. “When I asked her her questions from the very beginning, I did so so she could assert her rights prior to any statement,” Issa told POLITICO. “She chose not to do so — so she waived.”

Former Democratic National committee chairman Howard Dean considers the controversy over Benghazi a “joke” and “silly.” “Benghazi is a laughable joke,” Dean proclaimed twice in a discussion with Republican National Committee communications chairman Sean Spicer last week. “With all due respect, governor, when four Americans die serving this country, that’s not a joke, sir,” Spicer responded. “Oh, stop it,” said Dean. The former Democratic presidential candidate also said that there were “no serious questions being asked about Benghazi” and brushed it off as an effort by Republicans to score political points.
