| Sure, you might be cool with Barack Obama calling up a drone strike on an American citizen. But don´t forget: a Republican [shudder!] could become President! That was the Washington Post editorialist Jonathan Capehart´s warning to Donny Deutsch when the ad-man-turned-pundit proclaimed he had no problem with the president, under desperate circumstances, ordering a drone strike against an American. View the video after the jump. Watch Capehart create the Republican-president-as-bogyeman scenario.

Comments: If this little wussy had any sense he would be ashamed of himself. The President who´s implementing this policy is someone you trust?? I trust nothing about malignant, messianic narcissist!

I wish we had some Republicans the Democrats were justified in being a little afraid of - the whole country would be safer.

Republicans can easily maneuver democrats into rolling over Obama and overturning his power grab on the drone issue.
All they have to do is say they support it because they want President Palin or President Cheney to have that power in 2017. .

Trying to think of a, of any, legitimate Constitutional government which has turned its guns against its citizenry. ...hmmmm. There are aberrations, but rare and of limited extent.
Left-wing, totalitarian regimes, they are the ones which disarm, torture, abuse, and murder by the millions, their citizens.
The USSR did have a constitution; however, it wasn´t worth the paper it was printed on, mainly because any rights were bestowed (sort of) by the Bolshevik leadership, and everything and everyone were subservient to the Leadership.
When a Soviet citizen appealed to a "right", the regime merely erased it. Note: erased it, did not go through an amendment process such as ours, which leaves a trail of changes.
Everything this regime is doing is anti-Constitution, seems to be an assault on our liberties, is seemingly a growing threat to our very lives.
Being ruthless with our enemies is good. But if we´re talking about a US citizen, then there does have to be due process AND enough evidence that the person is a TRAITOR.
Wondering who neutered the ACLU...

Deutsch - "I trust my government." Thats the problem. Obama has lied so much...Health Plan will save families $2500, Shovel-ready jobs, etc. And he still trusts this government. What a dumba$$.

We sure wouldn´t want a half-dozen Predator-delivered Hellfire missiles launched into a meeting of the DNC, would we.
#3: Let´s also remember the following, from the UN´s "Universal Declaration of Human Rights":
Article 29, Section (3) These rights and freedoms may in no case be exercised contrary to the purposes and principles of the United Nations.
As Emily Litella would synopsize -- "Never mind!"

U.S. military sources serving in North Africa are challenging the latest White House claim that the administration is applying "all the resources" at its disposal to bring the Benghazi attackers to justice, charging instead that the Obama administration knows who is responsible but is not acting. "They have let it slip by because of politics, and now we´ve taken all the correlation we had and dropped the ball because of risk (aversion) -- and now the security in Libya is more fragile than ever," one U.S. special operator told Fox News. The source, speaking on condition of anonymity,

Rhode Island Democratic Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse has apologized for remarks Monday in which he linked Oklahoma "cyclones" to climate change while berating Republicans for their stance on the issue -- around the time a massive tornado killed dozens in that state. A Whitehouse spokesman said Tuesday the politically charged remarks were pre-written as part of the senator’s weekly Senate floor speech on climate change. “Tragically and unbeknownst to the senator at the time, a series of tornadoes were hitting Oklahoma at the same moment he gave his remarks,” the spokesman said.

During a panel discussion on the Department of Justice seizing the phone records of Fox News’ James Rosen, Bret Baier revealed that the seizure included the phone records of Rosen’s parents. The entire panel agreed the scandal was an outrage, with Kirsten Powers pointing out that there have been a number of high-profile leaks from the Obama administration, but the only ones they seem interested in going after are the ones that make them look bad. Charles Krauthammer found it amazing that the government would make such a “huge assault on the first amendment” in trying to

A liberal think tank with close ties to the Obama administration took money from General Motors and other businesses it did not disclose while campaigning for policies benefitting those companies, according to The Nation magazine. Members of the “Business Alliance” of the Center for American Progress (CAP) include bailed out car company GM, unsafe Bangladeshi factory utilizer Walmart, and embattled solar energy company First Solar, according to a membership list obtained by the liberal magazine. Juan Williams, a liberal commentator and a Fox News Channel contributor, criticized the Department of Justice (DOJ) for “criminalizing journalism,” when asked about Fox’s Chief Washington Correspondent James Rosen being labeled as a possible co-conspirator in a government leak investigation. “I think what you’ve got here is a situation where somehow, now, journalism has been criminalized, especially in this Rosen case,” Williams said on Fox & Friends on Tuesday. “There’s just no justification for somehow making it out that a reporter, who is trying to cultivate a source, by doing so is a co-conspirator in terms

Sen. Mary Landrieu, D-La., scolded Tea Party Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, for acting like a “dictator” by demanding that Senate Democrats promise not to raise the debt limit during conference meetings with House Republicans. “We don’t have kings anymore,” Landrieu said in response to Lee on the Senate floor this afternoon. “We don’t have dictators anymore. We don’t have people with special powers . . . not anyone in this chamber is entitled to write the budget exactly the way they want it.” Lee took to the floor to oppose moving to a budget conference between House

WASHINGTON – The Internal Revenue Serviced scandal today spread further within the White House and closer to President Obama. White House spokesman Jay Carney today disclosed that Obama’s chief of staff, Dennis McDonough, and other top White House officials had advance warning that the IRS was targeting conservative groups. But he insisted McDonough and the other White House officials purposely kept Obama out of the loop.McDonough “rightly chose not to take action” to inform Obama, Carney told reporters at the daily White House briefing.

The Washington Post on Monday reported that Obama’s Department of Justice was investigating journalists before they started wiretapping the Associated Press – for one, Fox News correspondent James Rosen in 2010. Their headline wasn´t "Obama Team Also Spied on Fox News." Fox wasn´t in the headline, on A-1 or on A-12, where the story continued. Newly obtained court documents “reveal how deeply investigators explored the private communications of a working journalist — and raise the question of how often journalists have been investigated as closely as Rosen was in 2010.” Reporter Ann Marimow began:

The wheels came off the Obama administration yesterday. We learned of a startling assault on freedom of the press by the Department of Justice, following the revelation last week of the unprecedented information-gathering foray by that department against The Associated Press. Then, a few minutes later, the Justice Department’s inspector general released a report declaring that the US attorney in Arizona used the leak of a confidential memo to try to discredit a whistleblower in the notorious “gun-walking” scandal known as Fast and Furious (which got two federal agents killed). The leak was called “egregious.”

WASHINGTON – A top IRS official in the division that reviews nonprofit groups will invoke the Fifth Amendment and refuse to answer questions before a House committee investigating the agency’s improper screening of conservative nonprofit groups. Lois Lerner, the head of the exempt organizations division of the IRS, won’t answer questions about what she knew about the improper screening – or why she didn’t reveal it to Congress, according to a letter from her defense lawyer, William W. Taylor 3rd. Lerner was scheduled to appear before the House Oversight committee Wednesday.

A senior adviser to President Obama mounted a combative defense of the administration on Sunday, saying the controversies enveloping the White House were the result of Republican lawmakers’ trying to “drag Washington into a swamp of partisan fishing expeditions, trumped-up hearings and false allegations.”The remarks came from Dan Pfeiffer, a member of the president’s inner circle, as he appeared on all five major Sunday morning talk shows in an effort to move the administration past what commentators have described as a “hell week” of controversy and missteps.

Stuart Varney said this morning on "Varney & Co." that one of his producers was given a questionnaire with some surprisingly intrusive questions on it when he switched doctors. One of the questions was whether he/she was concerned about unsecured weapons in the home. Another asked whether he/she was "in a relationship in which you have been physically hurt or are you afraid of your partner?" Judge Andrew Napolitano explained that the question about guns comes out of a post-Sandy Hook executive order by President Obama, but it will be required under Obamacare. Varney expressed amazement

While many Americans were tuned into news coverage of the massive damage from tornadoes ravaging the state of Oklahoma, Rhode Island Democratic Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse took to the Senate floor to rail against his Republican colleagues for denying the theory of anthropogenic global warming. Whitehouse spent 15 minutes chastising GOP senators and justified his remarks by alluding to states that seek federal assistance in the wake of natural disasters. “So, you may have a question for me,” Whitehouse said. “Why do you care? Why do you, Sheldon Whitehouse, Democrat of Rhode Island, care
