Sleepy Obama Sits Through Prayer
Breakfast Where Dr. Benjamin Carson
Blasts Obamacare

RUSH: As for Obama, he went to the National Prayer Breakfast today. I was reading a blog, the White House Dossier, a guy who used to be part of the White House press corps. Keith Koffler is his name. I didn´t see Obama at the prayer breakfast today, but he said Obama was barely awake. You know, Obama doesn´t show until ten o´clock in the morning. He´s a nighthawk. He´s a night owl. Obama stays up late and he doesn´t get up early.

0bama may have been yawning (perhaps it was too early in the morning for him), but you can be sure that Dr. Carson´s words will not go unnoticed by the WH.

I heard Dr Carson´s common sense, achievable plan for universal medical care on Rush´s show today. You could literally describe it on the back of an envelope. Tell me why the geniuses we elect to a life of luxury in Congress cannot come up with a similar plan? I think it would be overwhelmingly approved by the American people. Instead, we have Obamacare shoved down our throats.

Because #2, the good doctor´s plan does not invest enough power in government, and is so simple that it might actually work.

Hitler also stayed up late and got up late. Remember D-Day? None of Hitler´s aids dare wake him up to tell him that the invasion at Normandy had started! Part of the reason that the Allies invasion was successful.

Sounds like Zero on the day of the Bengazi debacle. Or maybe he was drunk or coked out since it was in the evening. In any case, what a traitor.

Me too; but then I am not the prezident.

He will never admit Zippycare is a mistake and ditch it.

Reminds me of when Mother Teresa spoke out against abortion at a National Prayer Breakfast in the 1990´s with Billary sitting a few feet away on the dais.

I know they need him in pediatric neurology, but why can´t we have Carson for President?

I´ve heard him speak in person. He has the two most important qualifications: He is incredibly smart, and he knows how to communicate with people.

I´ve admired Dr. Ben Carson for years not only for the medical works he´s done but for his elegant life that he lives. His love of family and life and now ....his brilliant thoughts of the medical dilemma that we were brought to by the addle minded voters of this once great country! We almost cannot get out from under it. Entitlements are woven into our life´s fabric and there it sticks like a thorn or a rock in your shoe...always reminding you of your pain and ill decisions that someone made for you and your life FOREVER!!!!

Some may want to see a movie about his life...´´GIFTED HANDS´´ from a troubled youth to a gifted neurosurgeon, it´s on DVD. You´ll respect this man even more! I don´t think he does surgeries any more because of Arthritis?´´. Gosh, too bad he didn´t´ speak of this BEFORE we were doomed to darkness. Bless this man!

The self-centered Marxist/narcissist strikes again. Bored is he? Tired? He can´t even bring dignity and positive vibes to a simple breakfast. It´s supposed to inspire. What does he do? Make it devolve back on him and his personal experience, which, truth be told, really is a snorer.

I used to work at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, and have met Dr. Carson several times. In addition to being a man of integrity, he is also a man of faith, and has spoken often about how God pulled him through difficult times. I think he was in Guideposts a while back. A great man.

The good Doctor made the narcissist look like the buffoon he is. What a refreshing change to see a REAL man at the mike telling it like it is. This is what a functioning mind can do and NOBODY can say he is a racist!

Obama will never be the caliber of this man, Obama is a fool and though he holds the Office of President, it tells me that anybody can hold that job but not everyone can do the job of Dr. Carson, someone who actually helps people.

FTA: This "president" says "you´d like to think that that the shelf life wasn´t so short! I go back to the Oval Office (snickers), and I start watching the cable news networks, and it´s like we didn´t pray."

That is because he doesn´t have a prayer. On several levels.

Dr. Carson was the class act that he always is. Obama wasn´t sleepy, he was humiliated and uncomfortable with the position that he was in. He couldn´t get up and leave. The entire speech must have been torture for him and well deserved I might add. God bless Dr. Carson for his class, his intelligence his caring and daring to give this speech in the presence of the president. It is to bad that Dr. Carson isn´t the president of the United States. I think things would be fixed by now if he were.

I´ve read Dr Carson´s biography. single mother who had to work several menial jobs.
I think he grew up in Detroit. His illiterate mother made him read books and do book reports for her. Reading made him brilliant.

As more information about the IRS scandal trickles out daily, the White House’s involvement is becoming clearer. Those of us who’ve been warning about the demise of freedom with Barack Obama’s efforts to “fundamentally transform” our great nation are about to witness some sad vindication. Will awakened Americans finally join us in saying “enough is enough”? The president would like us to believe that he only learned about the IRS corruption from watching the news.

With the IRS scandal, the Benghazi scandal, and the AP scandal, it is almost time for educated, intelligent people to start wondering just what President Obama meant when he promised in 2008 to heal the nation´s partisan divide. Everybody knows that conservatives are haters and homophobes. But still, healers don´t use the IRS to intimidate Tea Party ladies trying to enter into the public square. We are talking about an administration with a Culture of Intimidation, according to senior Republican officeholders -- and presumably the folks in their focus groups agree.

On the rainy night of February 26, 2012, neighborhood watch captain George Zimmerman shot and killed an unarmed seventeen-year-old named Trayvon Martin. Three months later, a regular at the Conservative Treehouse blog known as Diwataman discovered the raw video of Martin´s visit to the 7-11 that fateful night and initiated arguably the best bit of blogging detective work since the busting of Dan Rather´s Air National Guard scam eight years earlier. "I think Trayvon may know these three guys," Diwataman commented in reference to a trio of hooded young men who entered the store almost immediately after Martin left.

Joseph Stalin had been General Secretary of the Soviet Communist Party for six years in 1928, when John Dewey, "the father of modern education," toured Russia with a group of educators. Later that year, The New Republic published Dewey´s Impressions of Soviet Russia and the revolutionary world. This polemic stands as a remarkable testament to progressivism´s disdain for mankind, reason, and truth. It is also Dewey´s most honest and concise primer on the principles of his progressive education method. Anyone prepared to defend the idea of government-controlled schooling after reading this work is perhaps beyond reach of rational argument.

Sheldon Whitehouse, D-R.I., thought the devastation of Moore was a crisis that should not be wasted as he took to the Senate floor Monday to rail against his Republican colleagues for denying the theory of anthropogenic (man-caused) global warming (known by its acronym, AGW). WASHINGTON – The Internal Revenue Serviced scandal today spread further within the White House and closer to President Obama. White House spokesman Jay Carney today disclosed that Obama’s chief of staff, Dennis McDonough, and other top White House officials had advance warning that the IRS was targeting conservative groups. But he insisted McDonough and the other White House officials purposely kept Obama out of the loop.McDonough “rightly chose not to take action” to inform Obama, Carney told reporters at the daily White House briefing.

The wheels came off the Obama administration yesterday. We learned of a startling assault on freedom of the press by the Department of Justice, following the revelation last week of the unprecedented information-gathering foray by that department against The Associated Press. Then, a few minutes later, the Justice Department’s inspector general released a report declaring that the US attorney in Arizona used the leak of a confidential memo to try to discredit a whistleblower in the notorious “gun-walking” scandal known as Fast and Furious (which got two federal agents killed). The leak was called “egregious.”

WASHINGTON – A top IRS official in the division that reviews nonprofit groups will invoke the Fifth Amendment and refuse to answer questions before a House committee investigating the agency’s improper screening of conservative nonprofit groups. Lois Lerner, the head of the exempt organizations division of the IRS, won’t answer questions about what she knew about the improper screening – or why she didn’t reveal it to Congress, according to a letter from her defense lawyer, William W. Taylor 3rd. Lerner was scheduled to appear before the House Oversight committee Wednesday.

The dam protecting the IRS scandal began to crack today when Lois Lerner, the IRS official who announced, and apologized for, the improper singling out of conservative-leaning organizations by IRS employees under her command, announced through her criminal defense lawyer that she will not testify as scheduled tomorrow before the House Oversight Committee. Rather, she will assert her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. This marks an enormous milestone in the IRS investigation. It can now be taken as more or less established that crimes were committed by Obama administration employees. Lerner’s lawyer tried to minimize the significance

Former Democratic National committee chairman Howard Dean considers the controversy over Benghazi a “joke” and “silly.” “Benghazi is a laughable joke,” Dean proclaimed twice in a discussion with Republican National Committee communications chairman Sean Spicer last week. “With all due respect, governor, when four Americans die serving this country, that’s not a joke, sir,” Spicer responded. “Oh, stop it,” said Dean. The former Democratic presidential candidate also said that there were “no serious questions being asked about Benghazi” and brushed it off as an effort by Republicans to score political points.
