Dr. Benjamin Carson is a leading pediatric neurosurgeon at Johns Hopkins, where he is a renowned authority on separating Siamese twins. He was raised in the Detroit inner city by a single mom who worked multiple jobs to get him through school. He is a professor of neurosurgery, oncology, and plastic surgery as well as pediatrics… and he holds over 50 honorary degrees on top of that. He’s been the director of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins since he was just 33 years old. In 2008, he received America’s highest civilian honor, the Presidential Medal

There´s a highly rated movie out, Gifted Hands: The Ben Carson Story, starring Cuba Gooding Jr.
Available on netflix.

Does anyone know where to find a transcript of the speech? I´ve looked but haven´t found one.

My husband had the great honor of meeting and talking with Dr. Carson three years ago. He is unashamedly Christian, giving the Lord God, and He alone, all the glory for his incredible surgical skill. He is even more impressive in person. Today, this humble man took this Preident down a peg or two to his face. Only the second national figure I´ve seen who isn´t a bit intimidated by Obama. The other is Bibi.

You just know obama and the democrats will try to undermine him in the coming days and months.

Dr. Carson is truly a brilliant and compassionate man. Try picking up the book "Gifted Hands". If chris rock and the other butt kissers want a black man to admire they should raise their sights a bit higher than obama. They might try looking to a real man for strength and leadership. God bless Dr. Carson and the work he does.

This man is the anti-Obama, I can´t think of any higher praise.

Will the MSM be called racist if they attack Dr Carson?

I have never heard of Dr. Carson, but have to say he is on my radar now. That the presidents´ handlers/lackeys/experts, or whatever, allowed the empty chair obama attend a meeting where this guy is talking is an indication that they do not have a clue, and neither does he. WHAT A PUT DOWN, and he may not even know how bad it was!

I know that it´s on YouTube and that the video is linked in numerous articles, but I want to find a transcript so that I can read it and savor every word.

Dr. Benjamin Carson is the epitome of grace, class, intelligence and common sense. He has saved the lives of thousands of children. Watch the movie of his life with Cuba Gooding. I promise you, you will not be disappointed

He better not leave the country, he would be a "legitimate target". Of course Obama wouldnt have to worry about being a victim of a drone attack, after all he isnt an american citizen.

Listened to the entire audio clip, and it was wonderful. An American filled with knowledge, love and joy for his nation, it´s people, and it´s history. How very sad for us that he is not our President. How far we have fallen under the guise of Fundamental Transformation.

SAN JOSE— For most Americans in the United States, Armed Forces Day is not on the lists of likely holidays to honor the country’s military in celebrations of Memorial Day or Veteran’s Day. Sadly, most Americans may not even realize that Armed Forces Day is even a legitimate holiday. Armed Forces Day was established to be celebrated on the third Saturday in May. It started during Harry Truman’s administration when he led an effort to consolidate the various holidays supporting each separate branch of the military into a simple unified holiday to honor the four branches together.

Dorothy, the 14-year-old peregrine falcon that since 2002 has nested on a 40th-floor ledge of the Cathedral of Learning in Oakland, was perched on the limestone railing next to that nest and her lone chick shortly before 9 a.m. Friday. She´d just fed the 22-day-old chick a small bird for breakfast. "Baltimore oriole ... again," said Kate St. John, who blogs about the city´s peregrines. Someone else watching from the office inside the window next to the nest said it looked like Dorothy was calmly "chilling." Ms. St. John´s response was that nothing could be further from the truth.

WASHINGTON — An Internal Revenue Service watchdog testified Friday that he told Obama administration officials in June that he was looking into allegations the IRS targeted conservative groups for extra scrutiny when they applied for tax-exempt status. The revelation by Inspector General Russell George came at the first congressional hearing on the IRS misconduct, which has generated a political firestorm since it was disclosed a week ago. George’s testimony represented the first evidence that officials in the Obama administration knew of the allegations as long as a year ago, during the presidential campaign.

On Thursday´s NBC Nightly News, after proclaiming President Obama to be "on the offensive" amid growing scandals, anchor Brian Williams hinted at those controversies being only temporary setbacks for Obama: "And some folks are already calling the President´s problems the curse of the second term. And yet it´s tough to know the staying power of any given scandal in the making, along with the effect any of this might have on his overall planned agenda." Fox News host Jon Scott thinks the big three network evening news programs are already starting to tire of President Obama‘s “trifecta” of scandals. Scott outlined exactly how long ABC, CBS and NBC spent discussing development in the Benghazi, IRS and AP stories Thursday night, before asking his guests, “Is there scandal fatigue?” Judith Miller began by taking a swipe at the “mainstream media,” saying, “when issues get complicated and the press have to do a lot of filling in of facts that perhaps they haven’t bothered to report before, yes, things do get complicated

Senior Obama administration officials where notified almost a year ago that an inspector general was looking into the IRS’s treatment of conservative groups, a watchdog said on Friday. Russell George, Treasury’s inspector general (IG) for tax administration, testified that he told the department’s general counsel and Deputy Treasury Secretary Neal Wolin about the probe around June of 2012 — months after media reports started detailing Tea Party complaints about the IRS. George stressed that he told the officials merely that a probe was underway. After the hearing, aides at the inspector general’s office later said it’s standard practice

Watching President Obama trying to dodge raindrops and responsibility yesterday reminded me of the moment when Dorothy pulls back the curtain and discovers that the Wizard of Oz is “just a man.” Stripped of his spell of mystery and power, the wizard is worse than mortal. He’s a fake. So it was with Obama in the Rose Garden. His performance was tired and trite, ordinary to the point of dull. His veneer of passion was so transparent that you could see him trying to summon his old-time magic by pushing the buttons

Obama administration officials who were in key positions on Sept. 11, 2012, acknowledge that a range of mistakes were made the night of the attacks on the U.S. missions in Benghazi, and in messaging to Congress and the public in the aftermath. The officials spoke to CBS News in a series of interviews and communications under the condition of anonymity so that they could be more frank in their assessments. They do not all agree on the list of mistakes and it's important to note that they universally claim that any errors or missteps did not cost lives and reflect "incompetence rather than malice or cover up.

STANDING BEFORE reporters Thursday, President Obama declined an invitation to compare the recent scandals weighing down his administration with those that forced President Nixon to resign in 1974. So allow us to do the work for him: There is no comparison. Nixon, in a series of crimes that collectively came to be known as Watergate, directed from the White House and Justice Department a concerted campaign against those he perceived as political enemies, in the process subverting the FBI, the IRS, other government agencies and the electoral process to his nefarious purposes. Mr. Obama has done nothing of the kind.

The State Department, under Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton, created an arrangement for her longtime aide and confidante Huma Abedin to work for private clients as a consultant while serving as a top adviser in the department. Ms. Abedin did not disclose the arrangement — or how much income she earned — on her financial report. It requires officials to make public any significant sources of income. An adviser to Mrs. Clinton, Philippe Reines, said that Ms. Abedin was not obligated to do so. The disclosure of the agreement that Ms. Abedin made with the State Department comes as her husband,

In the wake of one of the worst abuses of government power in recent history, many are rushing to frame the Internal Revenue Service scandal as simply an attack on conservative activists. That view risks creating a partisan political football and misses a fundamentally scarier abuse that exceeds the scandals of Watergate or any other prior government abuse. The IRS has admitted that since May 2010 it targeted grassroots-conservative organizations that had applied for tax-exempt status, unfairly subjecting them to rigorous scrutiny due to their political leanings. Such groups were told they were required to comply with IRS requests,

President Obama’s press conference in the rain was not a success, if by success, his supporters would mean an event which convinces anyone who doesn’t work for him that he’s getting ahead of the scandal deluge. The sight of a Marine holding an umbrella over his head only added to the weirdness of the event. So what did we learn? 1. He has full confidence in Attorney General Eric Holder, the man who purportedly recused himself (whenever) without putting it in writing (whatever). When asked about the untrammeled snooping on Associated Press reporters and editors,
