| Jesse Jr. will not go to jail for trying to buy Obama´s senate seat. Apparently, that´s a dead issue now that Jackson is out of Congress and the Ethics Committee has dropped the matter. But Jackson will apparently be spending some time in the slammer for using his campaign fund as a personal piggy bank. Chicago Sun Times: Sneed has learned a plea deal is now on the table between former Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. and federal authorities probing allegations of campaign fund misuse. Sneed is told the plea deal includes Jackson serving time in federal prison.

Gee, why doesn`t this attitude exist in the private sector? Wouldn`t it be nice if we broke the law, got caught but got out of prison time by quitting our job?

The wife was hardly ´stunned´ when the house got remodeled and there was no drain on the bank account of excessive credit card debt to show for it. She was in this up to her eyebrows and thought she could sit it out and enjoy the spoils. She needs to go to prison right benind him. These people think they can get away with anything.

Mrs Jackson was his paid campaign manager, which is a legal way to convert campaign donations into family funds.
Will the president give him and the Mrs. a presidential pardon?

It is a sign of our times that very few people think that Jesse jr will serve any jail time - those that think so say his jail time will be be in a posh, comfortable setting and he will be released early. - Nothing will happen to his wife - also a criminal.
But if they were white - well that´s a different story.

GREENBELT, Md.- NASA released a dramatic and revealing image of an erupting Alaskan volcano Thursday taken by astronauts aboard the International Space Station. The photograph is of the Pavlof Volcano, located in the Aleutian Arc about 625 miles southwest of Anchorage, the space agency said. The oblique perspective of the photo taken from the ISS when it was about 475 miles south-southeast of the volcano reveals the three dimensional structure of the ash plume, often obscured by the top-down view of most remote sensing satellites, NASA said.

CHICAGO -- The Obama administration has chosen a private attorney and former federal prosecutor who helped send former Illinois Gov. George Ryan to prison for corruption to head the U.S. attorney´s office in Chicago, Illinois´ senators announced Thursday. Zachary Fardon, 46, would replace Patrick Fitzgerald, who stepped down last summer to enter private practice. Fitzgerald rose to national prominence during more than a decade in the office and successfully convicted two Illinois governors, including Ryan. GREENVILLE, California -- An earthquake in far northeastern California was felt by thousands of people as far away as San Francisco and in two other states, but there have been no reports of injury or serious damage. The magnitude-5.7 quake broke dishes and shook mirrors when it struck at 8:47 p.m. Thursday, officials said. It was centered near Greenville, about 25 miles southwest of Susanville in far northeastern California, said Rafael Abreu, a geophysicist with the U.S. Geological Survey´s National Earthquake Center in Golden, Colo. There have been several aftershocks, including a magnitude 4.9 that struck early Friday morning.

The fact that this bit of information was conveyed to the protesters by a Department of Homeland Security officer who was also in attendance. Conservative radio host Mark Levin is very skeptical of the idea that President Obama had absolutely no idea about the IRS tea party targeting before the story broke in the news mere weeks ago. Levin declared adamantly that it is a “flat-out, bald-faced lie” that Obama didn’t know beforehand, citing prior reports by a few conservative news outlets picking up on the news well before the 2012 presidential election. Levin said, “I don’t believe for two seconds that Obama wasn’t aware of this.”

On “Fox News Sunday” last weekend, White House aide Dan Pfeiffer was asked about President Barack Obama’s whereabouts the night of the Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi. This was the night when we lost our first ambassador in 30 years, and when three other Americans were killed in an attack that lasted all night long at multiple locations within the eastern Libyan city. Since the president is commander in chief, one would think where he was and what he did during such an event would be of obvious public concern.
