First lady Michelle Obama will attend the funeral of Hadiya Pendleton, a Chicago teenager who was killed near her home shortly after she performed at the 2013 presidential inauguration. The first lady will attend the funeral services alongside White House senior adviser Valerie Jarrett and Education Secretary Arne Duncan, according to a White House official "On Saturday, Feb. 9, the first lady will travel to Chicago to attend the funeral service for Hadiya Pendleton," the official confirmed to The Hill. "Senior Adviser Valerie Jarrett and Secretary of Education Arne Duncan will also attend."

Comments:
Shocking!! Just when you think the Democrats can´t stoop any lower. This will turn into an offensive political circus with all the focus on the disgusting Mooch. Why does Valarie Jarrett have to attend?? How much will this cost us??

The first 20 rows reserved for the press. The family sits at the back.

How many dead Chicago teens did it take before the powers-that-be in DC found one they could use for their political purposes?

7 & 8 Will MO wear something appropriate? Will she speak at the funeral? ´If I had another daugher, she would be like Hadiya.´
Does the family want MO there and are they prepared to feed her?

Gee,

Arnie, Val, and MO are attending services for a child´s death in Chicago. What makes this death more signicant than the hundreds of other kids killed in our Nation´s Gun Law Capitol?... Purely, the ugly face of crass politics.

The circus atmosphere of the presence of these three frauds belittles the death of this young girl.

SEND IN THE CLOWNS!!

These people do not just pick and choose winners and losers, they even pick and choose whose funerals to attend. When it is politically expedient, they attend one of the
numerous funerals held in Chicago this year.
I don´t think you could find a more disgusting group of individuals no matter how many rocks you looked under. What about all the other funerals in the Country? Why attend this particular funeral ? Are they heading from there to Dallas to attend the funeral of an actual hero, the decorated Seal sniper who was killed attempting to help returning
veterans, or is he too white, too Conservative, and he shot too many enemy terrorists ( Islamic radicals). Somebody advise them that his funeral is in Cowboy Stadium Monday and that is the one they should be attending. Everyone should be equal
but in the eyes of this Administration, equal isn´t the same as in our eyes. All my opinion.

Yet there is never any recognition, much less appreciation, for those lives saved in self-defense when the innocent are ruthlessly attacked in their own homes, on their own property (...including property located along the Southern Border with Mexico!), cars or work places by criminals of all ages, the mentally ill, thieves, and evil brutal barbarians? mmm mmm mmm

Mrs. 0´s presence is very, er, ..´selective,´ nes pas?

A better way to do it would be for her to meet privately with the family--no press, no photos. That, of course, would never happen.

Well she might as well move back into her house in Chicago, save the taxpayers from picking up a hotel bill, she will be attending lots of funerals for Chicago kids, just wait till the weekend, someone will be killed.

They were a part of the corrupt government that exist today.
They have done nothing during his administration to try and save at least some of these kids.

If I was that girls parents I would not allow them to use my child like this.

If the poor child hadn´t achieved a minor level of "rock star" status, these pukes wouldn´t even know she was dead. It´s all about the show, folks. There´s hundreds more that´ve died in Chicago during the last year without a small blip from the LSM but...The show MUST go on!

I´m trying to understand the two weeks between death and funeral.
In my part of the U.S., we bury our dead within three or four days of death.

Why a delay of 2 weeks? Probably to work out things things betwen the family and the adminstration so that either obama or his wife could be there.

I think it´s a great idea. Mooshie should just move to Chicago and attend EVERY funeral in the city where the hoods knocked off each other and any bystanders who happened by. That would keep her in the city for better that 500 days a year...she missed a great opportunity in 2012 to make 530 funerals. No sweat, the Chicago dudes are working to beat that figure this year.

Valjar is probably going because she owns the slum where this poor family lives.

I don´t know if that´s truly the case but it might as well be.

Reply 33 - Posted by: veritas, 2/7/2013 7:17:29 PM     (No. 9164575)

Hard to explain this away standing before the throne one day.

Two possible explanations in this life: it´s on the way to where Mo´s vacationing; or she wants to do some shopping in Chicago. Or both, I guess. Three explanations.

OP: But who still "thinks the Democrats can´t stoop any lower"?

#19: "Served"? Or "sherved"?

#20: Who would do such a thing? Oh -- George W. and Laura Bush!

Did she attend the 16 funerals of the Mexican school children who were killed from the weapons her husband provided to the drug cartels?

In 2007, then Senator Barack Obama appeared on CNN´s Larry King Live and called on U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales to resign. Obama said Gonzales was acting more like the president´s attorney than the people´s attorney and viewed himself as an "enabler of the administration." "Well, I voted against Alberto Gonzales confirmation for precisely the reason we are seeing now. I said this on the floor of the senate, that although he seemed to be a capable attorney, he seemed to conceive his role as being the president´s attorney instead of being the people´s attorney," Obama said.

MARK LEVIN: So why didn´t Chairman Issa hold an investigative hearing a year ago? Why didn´t Chairman Camp, all Republicans, hold an investigative hearing a year ago, and all the other tripping over themselves right now? I´ll tell you why. Because the establishment Republicans, the RINO Republicans, despise the Tea Party. They despise the conservative movement. We exist to be managed, to be shuttled to the polling place, to vote for their candidates. The Karl Roves of the world, and all the rest of them. They fight us in the primaries, they fight us at the grassroots.

House Speaker John A. Boehner on Thursday flatly ruled out chances of the House passing the Senate’s immigration bill, saying his chamber will debate its own bill instead. The Ohio Republican and his top lieutenants in the party issued a joint statement that seemed designed to tamp down some of the momentum behind the Senate bill, which emerged from a committee on a bipartisan 13-5 vote this week, and to stake out a House GOP position. “While we applaud the progress made by our Senate colleagues, there are numerous ways in which

During friendly questioning from Rep. Hank “I fear that Guam will capsize!” Johnson in Congress last week, Attorney General Eric Holder offered the following statement. In regard to potential prosecution of the press for the disclosure of material. This is not something I’ve ever been involved in, heard of, or would think would be wise policy. He made that statement before the facts about the sweep on Fox News’ James Rosen were known. Since then, it’s come to light that Holder himself approved the subpoena that, among other things, named Rosen as a criminal co-conspirator.

As the saying goes, scratch a liberal and you’ll find a tyrant underneath. NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo is but the latest example. He shoved a very restrictive and ill-considered gun law through the state legislature in the dead of night. Among its flaws, the law criminalized police officers who tote firearms with magazines that hold more than seven rounds. Sheriffs around the state have objected to the law. Cuomo summoned them to the state capitol under what appears to be a false pretext, and used the meeting to threaten them into silence. Cuomo invited

When you get right down to it, the political targeting and stalling of tax-exempt applications by the IRS was an effort to defund the Tea Party. Rick Santelli, one of the Tea Party founders and my CNBC colleague, was the first to make this point. I’ve taken it a step further: The IRS was taking the Tea Party out of play for the 2012 election, as it looked to avoid a repeat of 2010 and another Tea Party landslide. There are a lot of numbers out there.

Levin declared adamantly that it is a “flat-out, bald-faced lie” that Obama didn’t know beforehand, citing prior reports by a few conservative news outlets picking up on the news well before the 2012 presidential election. On “Fox News Sunday” last weekend, White House aide Dan Pfeiffer was asked about President Barack Obama’s whereabouts the night of the Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi. This was the night when we lost our first ambassador in 30 years, and when three other Americans were killed in an attack that lasted all night long at multiple locations within the eastern Libyan city. Since the president is commander in chief, one would think where he was and what he did during such an event would be of obvious public concern.
