President Obama Had One
Conversation With Leon Panetta on
the Day of the Benghazi Attack

In today’s hearing on Benghazi at the Senate Armed Forces Committee, New Hampshire Republican Kelly Ayotte asked about the president’s personal involvement, finding out that the president only had one conversation with Defense Secretary Leon Panetta or General Martin Dempsey on 9/11, the day of the Benghazi attack. In that conversation, according to Panetta, President Obama told them to “do whatever you need to do to be able to protect our people”. The president didn’t, according to Panetta, ask for any specifics on what kind of

panetta and dempsey will take the fall for their fearless leader, no doubt having been promised a sweet reward for their loyalty.

So, what specifically does the president mean by "our people"?

Seems like he didn´t want to be bothered. Had better things to focus on.

You know, "you little people in my cabinet, do what you need to do".

"The president didn’t, according to Panetta, ask for any specifics"

of course not

that would have led to responsibility for what happened

...I just can´t imagine George B. having been so "hands off" to an event such as this. Just what did 0bama have going on that was MORE important?...

...ah, just remembered. He was probably overseeing the packing of his bag for Las Vegas...

Asking questions would have delayed Dream Land sleep.......he had to get prepared for his big campaign rally in Las Vegas. Certainly he could be burdened with Benghazi.

Let´s start connecting the dots.
The president said he was on top of the matter, and joe biden said the white house never received a request for military support.
Hillary said she was fully engaged, but Panetta and Dempsey said they never talked to her, and she never called them.
Hillary said she talked with the president around 9 PM on the night of the attack.
Panetta and Dempsey met with the president at 5 PM.
What is becoming clear is that no one at State was in charge. Hillary was curiously unengaged as her own ambassador was killed.
The president didn´t know nuffin, and old joe biden was wandering the hallways.
Panetta and Dempsey again pointed out that the marine guards at any embassy are not actually guarding - their only job is to destroy classified documents.
And the Libyan guards at the consulate, those that obese Charlene Lamb wanted to expand on, abandoned the consulate, in what appears to be collusion with the filthy islamofascist terrorist pigs.
This all comes out as an astonishing mess.
Hillary was an inept SofS, no one wanted to take the wheeel.
Elections have consequences.
And if the voters are stupid enough to vote in hillary in 2016, our country is doomed.

This is explosive stuff! The President and Secretary of State were not engaged in the operation that killed four Americans?!! This is an example of "Who´s on First...."

For obama and Clinton to either be unavailable, or refuse to be inconvenienced is shocking. What an astonishing lack of communication and accountability. Heads should roll, starting at the top.

Where is the militant gay lobby on this atrocity?
Was the Ambassador raped to humiliate and violate a gay man?
How come no militant gay outrage?
Don´t they stick up for their own?

Just wonderin´...

What the hell are we paying him/them for? They left these Americans completely helpless and watched their demise from the grandstands.

Our president and SOS were MIA. I´m so angry I could scream.

The press made us lose Viet nam, they forced a president to resign. They got this president elected and re-elected. They will never run with anything that might get him impeached. Forget Bengazi. He´s impervious. I´m sick of hearing about it. Nothing is going to happen to anyone in his administration.

Reply 12 - Posted by: Grambo, 2/7/2013 4:16:57 PM     (No. 9164317)

The president says he gave orders. No one received any presidential orders. The president had no conversations with the SecDef or Clinton. Clinton was fully “engaged” but never talked to the SecDef or CIC. There is no information available on the degree of sobriety of either of those individuals at the time.

After almost nine months, during which we have seen a bogus State Department press release, Rose Garden denouncements, a Treaty Room statement, Andrews Air Force base condolences, 25,000 documents, an Accountability Review Board report, a Senate report, depositions, press briefings, Congressional hearings, and Obama administration officials trolling on Sunday talk shows, it’s time to play Benghazi CLUE! America needs to know if Colonel Mustard, Mrs. Peacock, Professor Plum, or any of the other suspects used a dagger, a knife, a rope, or a candlestick in the library, the conservatory, or the billiard room.

The Washington Post reported today that, in the course of a leak investigation of a State Department employee who allegedly provided Fox News’s James Rosen with classified information, the Obama Justice Department not only subpoenaed Rosen’s private e-mails but also said that Rosen was “an aider and abettor and/or co-conspirator” in the alleged crime. Rosen was not charged with any crime, but it is unprecedented for the government, in an official court document, to accuse a reporter of breaking the law for conducting the routine business of reporting on government secrets.

An Internal Revenue Service review of the agency’s approach of scrutinizing conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status questioned the now-controversial policy a year ago, according to a House Oversight and Government Reform Committee aide who asked not to be identified. IRS officials briefed House and Senate committee staffers on the matter on May 13, the day before the Treasury Department’s Inspector General for Tax Administration released his report describing the decision to single out groups with phrases such as “tea party” and “patriot” in their name as “inappropriate.”

The outgoing IRS commissioner expressed regret Tuesday for a decision to use a planted question to go public with the agency´s practice of targeting conservative groups, calling the move "an incredibly bad idea." Steven Miller, appearing on the Hill for a second hearing in two weeks on the scandal, acknowledged that the agency was trying to get ahead of a damning investigative report at the time. As was confirmed over the weekend, he admitted the agency had a question planted at a conference two Fridays ago --

“You and others have said that no one in the White House knew about IRS actions before getting the heads up on the inspector general´s report last month,” George Stephanopoulos told senior White House adviser Dan Pfeiffer on Sunday. “Are you absolutely sure of that?” “Yes,” Pfeiffer replied. Do you believe him? Knowing the consequences that would befall the Obama administration if the White House or Obama’s reelection campaign knew in real time that the IRS was targeting conservatives, I desperately want to believe Pfeiffer. I’ve known him for years. I like him. He’s never lied to me.

The scandals of the Obama administration seem to be hurting not just the White House but MSNBC as well while Fox News Channel scored its second-best week of the year. After double-digit gains during last year’s presidential election, May 13-17 saw the progressive-aligned “Lean Forward” news network hit new lows as the IRS scandal erupted and revelations that the Justice Department secretly obtained AP records became public. With 350,000 viewers on average and 94,000 among the adults 25-54 demo, MSNBC had its least-watched and lowest-rated total-day results of the year last week.

More whistleblowers will emerge shortly in the escalating Benghazi scandal, according to two former U.S. diplomats who spoke with PJ Media Monday afternoon. These whistleblowers, colleagues of the former diplomats, are currently securing legal counsel because they work in areas not fully protected by the Whistleblower law. According to the diplomats, what these whistleblowers will say will be at least as explosive as what we have already learned about the scandal, including details about what really transpired in Benghazi that are potentially devastating to both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.

WASHINGTON – The Internal Revenue Serviced scandal today spread further within the White House and closer to President Obama. White House spokesman Jay Carney today disclosed that Obama’s chief of staff, Dennis McDonough, and other top White House officials had advance warning that the IRS was targeting conservative groups. But he insisted McDonough and the other White House officials purposely kept Obama out of the loop.McDonough “rightly chose not to take action” to inform Obama, Carney told reporters at the daily White House briefing.

The Washington Post on Monday reported that Obama’s Department of Justice was investigating journalists before they started wiretapping the Associated Press – for one, Fox News correspondent James Rosen in 2010. Their headline wasn´t "Obama Team Also Spied on Fox News." Fox wasn´t in the headline, on A-1 or on A-12, where the story continued. Newly obtained court documents “reveal how deeply investigators explored the private communications of a working journalist — and raise the question of how often journalists have been investigated as closely as Rosen was in 2010.” Reporter Ann Marimow began:

WASHINGTON – A top IRS official in the division that reviews nonprofit groups will invoke the Fifth Amendment and refuse to answer questions before a House committee investigating the agency’s improper screening of conservative nonprofit groups. Lois Lerner, the head of the exempt organizations division of the IRS, won’t answer questions about what she knew about the improper screening – or why she didn’t reveal it to Congress, according to a letter from her defense lawyer, William W. Taylor 3rd. Lerner was scheduled to appear before the House Oversight committee Wednesday.

The wheels came off the Obama administration yesterday. We learned of a startling assault on freedom of the press by the Department of Justice, following the revelation last week of the unprecedented information-gathering foray by that department against The Associated Press. Then, a few minutes later, the Justice Department’s inspector general released a report declaring that the US attorney in Arizona used the leak of a confidential memo to try to discredit a whistleblower in the notorious “gun-walking” scandal known as Fast and Furious (which got two federal agents killed). The leak was called “egregious.”

A senior adviser to President Obama mounted a combative defense of the administration on Sunday, saying the controversies enveloping the White House were the result of Republican lawmakers’ trying to “drag Washington into a swamp of partisan fishing expeditions, trumped-up hearings and false allegations.”The remarks came from Dan Pfeiffer, a member of the president’s inner circle, as he appeared on all five major Sunday morning talk shows in an effort to move the administration past what commentators have described as a “hell week” of controversy and missteps.

One of the questions was whether he/she was concerned about unsecured weapons in the home. Another asked whether he/she was "in a relationship in which you have been physically hurt or are you afraid of your partner?" While many Americans were tuned into news coverage of the massive damage from tornadoes ravaging the state of Oklahoma, Rhode Island Democratic Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse took to the Senate floor to rail against his Republican colleagues for denying the theory of anthropogenic global warming. Whitehouse spent 15 minutes chastising GOP senators and justified his remarks by alluding to states that seek federal assistance in the wake of natural disasters. “So, you may have a question for me,” Whitehouse said. “Why do you care?
