| Police in Southern California are hunting for a disgruntled ex-cop wanted in a double slaying and is suspected of shooting three police officers early Thursday, killing one of them. The Riverside Police Department said one of its officers was pronounced dead at the hospital, according to NBC 4 Los Angeles. A second officer was undergoing surgery. The third officer is with the Los Angeles Police Department and was shot in Corona, 50 miles east of Los Angeles. A bullet grazed his head and he was expected to recover, ABC affiliate KABC-TV reported. The LAPD says the suspect is former…

Comments: This guy has declared war on the LAPD. He´s highly intelligent, a military veteran, and doesn´t have a problem hunting down the children of those he believes did him harm.
This better end soon, before there´s an even more horrendous body count.
Also, keep this story in mind when someone says "Only the cops should have guns..."

It´s probably his gun that´s making him do all these bad things...

So, the next logical step is to outlaw disgruntled guns ?

Another news grabbing gun incident whipping up reactionary feelings - tread carefully, do not riot, do not play into the governments hands - the right to bear arms is under threat from many quarters.

An embarrassment for anti-gun nuts who think only trained police officers should carry guns. In such a scenario, how would unarmed civilians be protected from a cop-gone-crazy? The obvious solution is armed citizens.

#3, we outnumber and out-gun the socialists in government. And they can only disarm us if we´re stupid enough to allow it. They know they are out-numbered and out-gunned. Why do you think they spend so much propaganda time trying to convince everyone that socialism is the wave of the future, where it´s at, cool, and if you disagree you´re just a disgruntled crank, bigot, hater minority of one? Because they are scared enough citizens will wake up and realize what the socialists want to do here.

Update from the Daily Mail:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2274956/Christopher-Dorner-Manhunt-launched-Los-Angeles-police-officer-suspected-killing-college-basketball-coach-fianc.html#axzz2K8Zd0Ysn
Two innocents who had the bad luck of driving a similar vehicle as Dorner were shot by the LAPD this morning.
Remember, only the cops cam be trusted with guns.
Also note the pics accompanying the Daily Mail story. Looks like the PD are using AR-15 with 30-rd magazines. Droner is a lone wolf. Why would a 30-rd magazine be necessary? As all the politicians know, no one needs these "weapons of war" and no one needs more than 10-rounds to defend themselves.

They believe he is currently holed up in a hotel/apartment complex run by the DoD on the North Island naval base off Harbor Drive in San Diego.
A member of the Naval Reserve, he would have been able to get accommodations there. Or he may have forced his way in.
Channel 5 - KTLA in Los Angeles is covering it live.

Although rare, an out-of-control cop with a gun & a grudge is not new. Back in the fifties, when my dad was a young man, he had the misfortune of being at a party when a drunk, off-duty cop burst in looking for his wife. He shot at everybody in the room, but my dad - who didn´t know him from Adam, got the worst of it. He was paralyzed from the waist down. He came very close to dying but with intense therapy for almost a year, was able to walk again & for many years walked with a pronounced limp. Now that he is elderly, he has unending orthopedic problems stemming from that long-ago incident & his weakened leg. He is now back in a wheelchair. None of these new, proposed gun laws can save you from rogue cops. I ought to know because I am Dad´s caregiver.

More on the suspect and the media.
The Government Media is at it again. Note how they scrubbed Dorner´s "manifesto." Any ideas why the media would omit these portions?

#10...posters have been very calm so far and earlybird´s providing good info too, so just chill...there will be plenty of time to examine this guy and fan all kinds of tin-foil hat flames once he has been killed, er, caught. Riverside PD isn´t even releasing the names of the murdered and injured officers for fear this nut will target their families. I´ve read his doc with redacted names for clues of the 40 targets on his list, and spoken to family in LA cuz my daughter is a LAPD officer who´s served in both the South and Harbor Divisions...very sad and scary circumstances...staying glued to all LA TV via the net...

Yes scary, but I was in DC during that sniper case several years ago and it was more so cuz it went on for days, initially by unknown perp(s)in unknown vehicle, covering a huge area, and targeting innocent people at random....here at least we know who we are looking for and the target group is somewhat specific...sidebar issue is if you are driving a vehicle like his at night or are big, Black and sporting a shaved head like me, or my son in LA, you´ve gotta be on your p´s and q´s...NEWS now is his burned out vehicle might have been spotted in Big Bear!

It is long. We won´t agree with him politically - he is an Obama supporter - but his comments about the LAPD are not difficult to believe.

Meant to mention that he now may be in Big Bear. A vehicle similar to his was found on fire there. They are doing an intensive search with a helicopter and manpower on the ground.

AMHERST, N.Y. - An Amherst man who had his guns taken away by the state is speaking out after the state admitted it made a mistake by suspending his pistol permit. David Lewis is the man State Police deemed so mentally ill he was unfit to own a gun. They recommended to a state judge that the 34-year-old librarian´s pistol permit be suspended and the judge signed the order. (*SNIP*) Tresmond also claims State Police have lined up a special unit to circumvent federal HIPAA laws to pry into gun owners´ medical records, which State Police deny.

AMHERST, N.Y. - State Police forced an Amherst man to turn in his guns after suspending his pistol permit over anti-anxiety medication. But now they say it was all a misunderstanding. Erie County Clerk Chris Jacobs said, "Today, we all look like fools." "David," a 34-year-old college librarian, recently had his pistol permit taken away. Erie County´s Licensing Officer, Supreme Court Justice William Boller, was following a recommendation from State Police that David´s permit be revoked because he used anti-anxiety medication in the past.

ROCHESTER — Starting April 15, New York will have the smallest gun magazine limit in the country, and all signs indicate no gun makers have plans to accommodate it. Gun manufacturers have never had a reason to make a magazine with fewer than 10 rounds, because no state required it until now. And, as far as local gun dealers and the Democrat and Chronicle have been able to determine, there are no manufacturers planning to make seven-round magazines. This means that in less than two months, gun dealers such as Paul Martin, owner of Pro-Gun Services in Victor…

CHICAGO — A federal appeals court won´t reconsider an earlier ruling that Illinois´ concealed carry ban is unconstitutional. A three-judge panel of the 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals struck down Illinois´ ban in December and gave lawmakers until June 8 to legalize the concealed carry of firearms. Attorney General Lisa Madigan asked for all 10 judges to review the decision, saying it conflicted with decisions by other federal appellate courts and goes beyond what the U.S. Supreme Court has held. Illinois is the only state in the nation that still has a ban in place.

A knife-wielding attacker killed at least two Japanese tourists and wounded 11 others on Tuesday in a tourist district on the U.S. Pacific territory of Guam, government officials said. The incident took place in Tumon on Guam´s west coast, said Andy Gibson, an official in Gov. Eddie Calvo´s office. Gibson said three people died and 11 suffered injuries in the ordeal. A spokesperson from Japan´s foreign affairs ministry, meanwhile, said that two Japanese tourists were killed and 12 other Japanese were hospitalized.

Watching President Obama trying to dodge raindrops and responsibility yesterday reminded me of the moment when Dorothy pulls back the curtain and discovers that the Wizard of Oz is “just a man.” Stripped of his spell of mystery and power, the wizard is worse than mortal. He’s a fake. So it was with Obama in the Rose Garden. His performance was tired and trite, ordinary to the point of dull. His veneer of passion was so transparent that you could see him trying to summon his old-time magic by pushing the buttons

STANDING BEFORE reporters Thursday, President Obama declined an invitation to compare the recent scandals weighing down his administration with those that forced President Nixon to resign in 1974. So allow us to do the work for him: There is no comparison. Nixon, in a series of crimes that collectively came to be known as Watergate, directed from the White House and Justice Department a concerted campaign against those he perceived as political enemies, in the process subverting the FBI, the IRS, other government agencies and the electoral process to his nefarious purposes. Mr. Obama has done nothing of the kind.

The State Department, under Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton, created an arrangement for her longtime aide and confidante Huma Abedin to work for private clients as a consultant while serving as a top adviser in the department. Ms. Abedin did not disclose the arrangement — or how much income she earned — on her financial report. It requires officials to make public any significant sources of income. An adviser to Mrs. Clinton, Philippe Reines, said that Ms. Abedin was not obligated to do so. The disclosure of the agreement that Ms. Abedin made with the State Department comes as her husband,

On Thursday´s NBC Today, in a desperate attempt to deflect from the scandals engulfing the Obama administration, co-host Savannah Guthrie wondered: "I read a headline yesterday that said Republicans see blood in the water. That they see a president who´s very vulnerable politically. Is there a danger that they will overreach?" Chief White House correspondent Chuck Todd agreed with the slanted premise: "There is. I mean, that´s what happened to Republicans in 1998 with Bill Clinton.

President Obama’s press conference in the rain was not a success, if by success, his supporters would mean an event which convinces anyone who doesn’t work for him that he’s getting ahead of the scandal deluge. The sight of a Marine holding an umbrella over his head only added to the weirdness of the event. So what did we learn? 1. He has full confidence in Attorney General Eric Holder, the man who purportedly recused himself (whenever) without putting it in writing (whatever). When asked about the untrammeled snooping on Associated Press reporters and editors,

“I look forward to taking some questions at tomorrow’s press conference,” President Obama said last night, after announcing the resignation of the acting IRS commissioner Steven Miller. The president scheduled a noon press conference today with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan in honor of his visit. Reporters, however, found themselves waiting outside in the rain for Obama, who was 47 minutes late. Only New York Times reporter Mark Landler had an umbrella.

Obama administration officials who were in key positions on Sept. 11, 2012, acknowledge that a range of mistakes were made the night of the attacks on the U.S. missions in Benghazi, and in messaging to Congress and the public in the aftermath. The officials spoke to CBS News in a series of interviews and communications under the condition of anonymity so that they could be more frank in their assessments. They do not all agree on the list of mistakes and it's important to note that they universally claim that any errors or missteps did not cost lives and reflect "incompetence rather than malice or cover up.
