Well this was a waste of my time and eyesight. She certainly seems to be upset about this. She repeats the little princes story. No doubt Richard did put them in the tower but he did not need to kill them, having had them declared not eligible to take the throne. The more likely culprit probbly was Henry VII (father of Henry VIII) who defeated John and took his throne ending the Plantagenet dynasty and commencing the Tudor dynasty. He would have been looking to make a clean sweep of anyone with a claim.

Shakespeare merely immortalized the "official" Tudor spin on Richard. Now this loon is spewing the "oficial" line on Romney. This wonderful and amazing archaeological discovery is ignored and snarked as usual by a "writer" for the Times. They have no reverence for anything.

Agree with #5. Gail needed to find some way to write something snarky about Mitt Romney and so since Richard III is currently in the news she figured this was the perfect opportunity. Bless her heart, she´s such a twit.

Before Congress is finished with the Internal Revenue Service, there’s a serious danger some of us are going to wind up feeling sorry for the auditors.And, honestly, that is not the way we were planning on spending the spring. Especially since it appears that there are people making decisions at the I.R.S. who have the intelligence of a wet Frisbee. But, so far, the Congressional hearings of outrage have been even less sympathetic. Let’s try to come up with some positive thoughts about the recent political fortunes of the Obama White House: • Economy’s getting a little better. Deficit’s dropping. • Bill Clinton had a really terrible second term and look how well things turned out for him. • Nobody in the administration has been caught driving to Canada with Bo the dog strapped to the car roof. It’s been quite a week, what with the I.R.S. scandal, the Benghazi controversy and revelations about the Justice Department’s sweep of The Associated Press’s phone records.

New Orleans police have released a video that shows a possible suspect in the shooting that wounded 19 people at a Mother´s Day parade. The surveillance video shows the crowd dispersing and some falling to the ground before one person in a white T-shirt and dark pants flees. The image of the man isn´t clear but police say they hope someone will recognize him. The wounded included 10 adult men and seven women as well as a boy and a girl, both 10. The wheels came off the Obama administration yesterday. We learned of a startling assault on freedom of the press by the Department of Justice, following the revelation last week of the unprecedented information-gathering foray by that department against The Associated Press. Then, a few minutes later, the Justice Department’s inspector general released a report declaring that the US attorney in Arizona used the leak of a confidential memo to try to discredit a whistleblower in the notorious “gun-walking” scandal known as Fast and Furious (which got two federal agents killed). The leak was called “egregious.”

WASHINGTON – A top IRS official in the division that reviews nonprofit groups will invoke the Fifth Amendment and refuse to answer questions before a House committee investigating the agency’s improper screening of conservative nonprofit groups. Lois Lerner, the head of the exempt organizations division of the IRS, won’t answer questions about what she knew about the improper screening – or why she didn’t reveal it to Congress, according to a letter from her defense lawyer, William W. Taylor 3rd. Lerner was scheduled to appear before the House Oversight committee Wednesday.

One of two men allegedly being questioned in connection with the Boston Marathon bombings was shot and killed by an FBI agent in Florida on Tuesday, (Snip)A friend of Ibragim Todashev said he and Todashev were being investigated as part of the Boston bombings. He said Todashev, 27, knew bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev because both were MMA fighters. The man claims he and Todashev were interviewed by the FBI for nearly three hours on Tuesday. The friend said he left the interview, and when he came back to the apartment he found that there had been a shooting.

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa said embattled IRS official Lois Lerner waived her Fifth Amendment rights and will be hauled back to appear before his panel again. The California Republican said Lerner’s Fifth Amendment right to avoid self-incrimination was voided when she gave an opening statement this morning denying any wrongdoing and professing pride in her government service. “When I asked her her questions from the very beginning, I did so so she could assert her rights prior to any statement,” Issa told POLITICO. “She chose not to do so — so she waived.”
