Bank of America: You Shouldn´t
Be Selling Guns on the Internet

Breitbart´s Big Government, by AWR Hawkins

Original Article

Posted By:Dreadnought, 2/7/2013 8:52:08 AM

Amid Chicago Mayor Emanuel´s recent push to get Bank of America, other banks, and various mutual funds to divest from gun companies, Breitbart News thought the timing was right to sit down with Joe Sirochman of American Spirit Arms (ASA). We talked to him about the way Bank of America treated his company shortly after the heinous crime at Sandy Hook Elementary took place. ASA is a Scottsdale AZ-based manufacturer of custom AR-15 rifles and pistols. And as Sirochman will tell you the first time you meet him, "ASA is an American company making guns for Americans."

This is the perfect opportunity to bleed Band of America dry of OUR funds. They can´t be one of the biggest banks in the country without OUR money.

This is not the first or the last time they will use their size to do things that are out of their scope as a bank. They are a bank, not a social engineering organization.

If I purchase a gun at a store, I must go through a background check.
IF I order a gun online, it must be delivered to a shop where I must have a background check before I can obtain the gun.
Bank of America violated that merchant´s civil rights by witholding his legally obtained deposits.
If you still bank there, you might want to reconsider.
I changed banks when I discovered that BofA offers free wire transfers to Mexico from illegals.

#3, what you said is outlandishly wrong.

The arms company took appropriate action by closing accounts with Bank of America and moving business to a bank that will not do this.

#4, what 3 said is accurate, but morally wrong. Our local bank had to implement "Know Your Customer" policies from the Feds a number of years ago. The gov´t wants to know if large transactions are happening to/for people. Anything larger than 10K IS reported.

This is another example of "liberal" thinking, taking it upon themselves to impose their superior morals on the unwashed low brow knuckle dragging gun clinging masses to do what their elite rear ends think needs to be done. Not too different than the Journal News publishing gun owner names and addresses.

I´ll bet BOA didn´t have a problem keeping the interest on the monies before releasing it to him.

At one time I worked for BoA. Senior management feels that they are so big, and that, since it takes effort to move to another bank, they don´t care about customers. Big on affirmative action. I would bet that the supervisor was a person of color.

This is an excellent example of why I would never do my banking business with one of these "megabanks." I´d find a relatively small or medium size community bank; someone where at least the bank/branch manager knows who the head of the bank is and has actually had a conversation with him.

However, Dear Leader(US) through his henchment Dodd/Frank are doing everything they can to kill off the small town bank through excessive regulations and increased costs. I have a friend who is head of a family owned bank in a nearby town and from what I understand, although they want to stay independent, local and family owned, they see the pressures every day and wonder how long they can remain that way.

He said the Bank of America supervisor responded by simply saying, "It´s in our policy that we can withhold the funds indefinitely for any reason that we want."

So you think your money belongs to you, huh? I deal with a local bank and have never had problems like with national ones. This almost sounds like something some teenager would say....you can do whatever you want? Really? Well, we can find out where you live, chump.

So in their opinion they can withhold a customer´s money for as long as they want for whatever reason they want? And how is that any different from stealing?

Since this manufacturer was not doing anything illegal, with his business booming and definitely able to pay back any business loans, the Bank of America absolutely violated the guy´s civil rights. If that manufacturer had happened to be a minority, you can bet that the government would have made a major stink out of what the bank did.

Our family stopped doing business with that bank years ago when they publicly stated that they had started passing out home loans to illegal aliens.

Social Security stops trying

The Social Security Administration announced Monday that it will immediately cease efforts to collect on taxpayers’ debts to the government that are more than 10 years old. The action comes after The Washington Post reported that the government was seizing state and federal tax refunds that were on their way to about 400,000 Americans who had relatives who owed money to Social Security. In many cases, the people whose refunds were intercepted had never heard of any debt, and the debts dated as far back as the middle of the past century. “I have directed an immediate halt to further

Despite promises to the contrary, it appears that State Senator Wendy Davis (D-Fort Worth) voted on bills that affect her clients and favorably impact the bottom line of her law firm. “I have never done anything in a way that represents a conflict in my voting and something that would benefit me personally,” she said in an interview, but state records seem to tell a different story. The Dallas Morning News´ Senior Political Writer Wayne Slater (DMN) reported that Davis supported legislation governing a toll road project. That would be all well and good except for the fact that the

Democrats Lose Two More Special

Democrats have had a recurring problem in special elections this year: Their voters aren’t turning out. If a weak economy and continued Obamacare problems persist, the November elections could be a disaster for Democrats. Last week, Democrats lost two special elections they weren’t planning to. Arlington, Va., is a classic wealthy ObamaTown, filled with government workers and limousine liberals. Mitt Romney won only 29 percent of the vote in 2012. But last Tuesday, Democrats lost their first election for the five-member Arlington County Board in 15 years when John Vihstadt, a Republican running as an independent, won a vacancy on

Nevada ranch standoff could leave

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said little as federal agents seized and then released cattle last week from the Bundy ranch, but there is little doubt that the highly charged episode was threatening to become a political headache for the Nevada Democrat. The Bureau of Land Management is headed by former longtime Reid aide Neil Kornze, who was confirmed by the Senate as BLM director on Tuesday, just as federal authorities descended on the cattle ranch outside Mesquite, Nev. Mr. Kornze issued a statement Saturday saying that the bureau would return the cattle and withdraw its agents from the ranch

On the defensive about their prospects in the midterm elections this fall, congressional Democrats have spent all of April savaging the Republican budget proposal, decrying the Koch brothers and championing a series of bills meant to ingratiate themselves to struggling middle-class voters. In promoting legislation that would extend unemployment benefits, increase the minimum wage and promote equal pay for women, the Democrats have declared themselves the party that will ensure a “fair shot” for all. Republicans, they insist, are the party of special interests. It has been a classic Washington messaging campaign for these partisan

For Hillary Clinton and Boeing,

Washington Post, by Rosalind S. Helderman    Original Article

On a trip to Moscow early in her tenure as secretary of state, Hillary Rodham Clinton played the role of international saleswoman, pressing Russian government officials to sign a multibillion-dollar deal to buy dozens of aircraft from Boeing. A month later, Clinton was in China, where she jubilantly announced that the aerospace giant would be writing a generous check to help resuscitate floundering U.S. efforts to host a pavilion at the upcoming World’s Fair. Boeing, she said, “has just agreed to double its contribution to $2 million.” Clinton did not point out that, to secure the donation, the State Department

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — Three people were shot and killed Sunday afternoon in suburban Kansas City, and a spokeswoman for a local hospital said a 15-year-old boy is in critical condition. Overland Park city spokesman Sean Reilly says two people died at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City campus and one was killed at Village Shalom, which is a retirement community that is several blocks away from the center. Overland Park Fire Department spokesman Jason Rhodes said Sunday afternoon that one person of interest is in custody. The Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City in Overland Park

Like him or hate him, there is no disputing that Rush Limbaugh’s very special brand of mixing right-wing politics with his flare for entertainment has produced one of the most successful radio programs in the medium’s long history. Whatever the burning political question of the day, millions of Americans have relished the opportunity to tune into Rush’s program, knowing that he would quickly take that hot potato, throw a few gallons of verbal kerosene into the mix and elevate the matter into a five alarm fire with a just a few well-chosen words spoken in the style only Rush Limbaugh could

When it comes to tracking the cost of Obama family vacations, there are two primary challenges. First, the Obamas are prolific jet-setters, so there are many details to track. Second, the Obama administration, clearly embarrassed by these lavish and frequent family vacations, stonewalls the release of records at every turn. But we have been relentless in pursuit of this information. Our attorneys file the lawsuits and make our case, and our investigators pour through pages of records and crunch the numbers. And the information we’ve uncovered – information that would otherwise remain under lock and key – shows that the

I live in Las Vegas. I live and breath Nevada politics. Something is very wrong. Something smells rotten in the Nevada desert. And Senator Harry Reid’s fingerprints are all over it. I am of course referring to the Bundy Ranch siege. This was a dispute between a Nevada ranching family with rights to the land in question for 140 years and the BLM (Bureayu of Land Management). The government claims they haven’t paid grazing fees for 20 years. The result was a government assault on the ranch- including snipers with assault rifles, SUV’s, helicopters, airplanes and over 200 heavily armed troops. No

Look, everyone loves Sean Connery, particularly Sean Connery. That’s why he plays Sean Connery in every movie he’s in. People love that Scottish brogue so much, they don’t mind that he has it when he plays Juan Sánchez Villa-Lobos Ramírez, an immortal Spaniard in Highlander. The guy even won an Oscar for playing an Irish cop with a Scottish accent. Talk about sexist double standards: Meryl Streep has to master foreign dialects to get her golden statuettes. Connery just has to show up on time. In economics you devalue a currency by printing too much of it. In film you

Out of left field, the state Republican Party, or the Brown campaign, or some blogger, would launch a rocket at me,” Warren wrote, adding, ”I was stunned by the attacks.” This reporter (blogger?) reported extensively

In an open letter to President Barack Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry, Carter and the nine other Nobel Peace Prize winners bluntly warned the leaders: “Your decision on the Keystone XL tar sands pipeline will define your climate legacy.” The missive, published as an advertisement in Politico, represents the first time Carter has taken a position on the $5.4 billion project and makes him the first former president to come
