| Karl Rove — "The Architect," as President George W. Bush called him — crafted Bush´s two presidential campaigns and served as a key player in Bush´s White House. Now, with an assist from The New York Times, Rove is presenting himself as a conservative leader. On Sunday, the Times reported that American Crossroads, the super PAC Rove started, was beginning a new program called "The Conservative Victory Project." This project, as the Times put it, will "recruit seasoned candidates and protect Senate incumbents from challenges by far-right conservatives and tea party enthusiasts." But Rove is no conservative.

I had no idea until I read this that Boehner was involved with Ted Kennedy and Pres. Bush on No Child Left Behind. That speaks volumes.

Face it - - Bush, Rove, Lott, DeLay, Hastert, and their fellow travelers, betrayed - - yes, betrayed - - the Reagan Revolution.
And both their blundering and venality allowed a communist to become president of this country.
There are still some deluded Bushites out there - - but fortunately their ranks are dwindling rapidly - - as cold reality sets in.

GWB wasn´t much of a conservative.
He didn´t stand and fight when he was being pummeled with lies.
He signed massive spending bills just to ´get along´ with congress.
But he was an American and he did what he thought best for this country.
And I miss him.

I have often wondered if Bush made a secret agreement with the democrats that he would turn his head on entitlement programs if they would give him a free hand fighting the war on terror.
If that is true, Bush was a conservative - but wisely saw the political realities and put national security first.

Rove´s architecture was built on sand and led directly to losses in three of the last four elections. Our only win in 2010 was thanks to the Tea Party. His smug face is that of a loser.

It´s not so much that GWB went along with big spending bills from Congress, but that the Republican controlled 107th, 108th and 109th Congresses went along with the big government programs favored by the White House out of some cockeyed notion of GOP unity.

The popularity of Obamacare has crashed to its lowest level in nearly two years, according to a new Kaiser Family Foundation poll. Kaiser´s monthly tracking poll found that just 35 percent have a favorable view of the health reform being put into place Jan. 1 while 43 percent view it unfavorably. The favorability rating of Obamacare has been worse only once, in October 2011, when it fell to 34 percent. An attorney whose firm represents two Benghazi whistleblowers said Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, lied to the Senate when he said there was never a “stand down” order during the Benghazi attack on Sept. 11, 2012. “What was fascinating is that he explained his lie to them,” Joe DiGenova, an attorney representing one of the whistleblowers, told CNSNews.com. “He actually said they were sent to Tripoli.
