Why Does the Media Go
Easy on Barack Obama?

Atlantic, by Conor Friedersdorf

Original Article

Posted By:drive, 2/6/2013 3:40:39 PM

Allegations of liberal media bias are almost constant in the conservative press, but their intensity has increased since President Obama and Hillary Clinton appeared together on 60 Minutes, where interviewer Steve Kroft posed "softball" questions that were almost comically obsequious. "Mr. Kroft, as embarrassing as his interview was, is merely symptomatic of a larger phenomenon: the unprecedented swooning and cheerleading by the press for Barack Obama," Peter Wehner wrote in Commentary, echoing an argument voiced by many on the right. He posits that the rise of conservative media outlets like Fox News may have triggered a liberal backlash.

His party is so afraid of being called ´racist´ that they bend over backwards to say anything complimentary...Fox has nothing to do with it because they talk about every subject and do not show sides....

Because they´re afraid of being cut off, or out, of any possible access, and leaked information.

If you don´t have sources, and can´t get access, then what good are you to your paper, or TV station?

So, they dutifully report what they´re told to report.
They don´t investigate what they´re told not to investigate.

The media has no choice. If the press actually did their jobs Obama would look like the blattering idiot that he is. Its not just Obama, its all progressives. They are too stupid to do real interviews or talk without a TP.

Fox was a tiny, non-entity network when the Leftwing Media of ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, NYT, LAT, WaPo, NPR all backed and covered for Bill Clinton during his bimbo eruptions, during his illegal campaign fund solicitations in Chinese Budhist temples, on Travelgate, Rose law ffirm, Whitewater, cattle futures, etc.

A.They refuse to do their job.
B. They turn to their twitter feed for direction and focus.
C. They refuse to do their job.

Why they refuse to do their job is really the only thing that´s debatable. My current take is our press is as low -info as Democrat voters AND they´re conceited. Big heads filled with fluffernutter. To steal a line from previous thread ´´not bringing the potato salad to the next Mensa picnic ´´.

And you can´t have a discussion about the media without at least acknowledging they have real contempt for points of view not simpatico with aforementioned twitter feed. It was never George Bush they hated

Why?

For the same reason that Hitler and Mussolini were on the cover of Time magazine ...

... central control is in their blood.

It is what elites do ...

... they know better and should rule.

Also, there is no criticism generally of journalists from their own ranks. Plagiarism and all manner of dishonesty (Dan Rather) tolerated just fine. Funny how ONLY liberals receive the Pullitzer. Plus, #6 is right. The media, even FNC, controlled more and more by DC.

Why? Plain and simple, he is an affirmative action president who is held to a different standard than any other president. According to the dems and libs, he must not be allowed to fail or it will reflect badly on them and affirmative action.

Thank you, Conor Friedersdorf, for my recommended daily allowance of protracted drivel.

“…the rise of conservative media outlets like Fox News…” Oh, yeah? If that were so, why is FNC chockablock with liberals? “Fair & Balanced” is not just some empty slogan. It’s substantiated by its vast cadre of outspoken Democrats, many of whom get plenty of screen and mic exposure several times per week. Contrast that with CNN and MSNBC. The comparisons are incomparable.

There is runaway political correctness underway in the national TV industry, and the TV media knows that they must give Obama a pass, or even risk their individual jobs.

The reason for that is Obama is a black man, and you can safely bet that there is no white man alive in America today, who when serving as President, would be lobbed the number of slow balls that the media has tossed at Obama.

That´s true for just about all the presentations shown on TV today to the general public. If you were to stay locked at home for any time period and continuously watched TV it would not be long from what you see on TV, that you would mistakenly think that black people make up a big majority of the population of this country, when in actuality they are only about 11% to 13%, and that black culture is the dominant social culture throughout the USA. That´s all because of political correctness.

This can be called a "What 800 pond gorilla in the corner" type of writing. He studiously ignores the dominant cause that eclipses everything else. Left liberalism is intellectually, morally exhausted and an ideological dead end. A life boat to keep this abomination alive must be totally unscrupulous, utterly deceitful, a demagogic, committed socialist and must be capable of appealing to the basest instincts of the lower half. Bring anyone to mind??

Because they are fools, not journalists or reporters, and they no longer care about informing the public. One can understand that it was a memorable occasion for a minority member to become President, but at some point, his policies have to be more important than his color. The media have never caught up. and seemingly never will. Very distressing that highly paid media people do NOT do what they are paid to do, and that is QUESTION the Government´s policies. They can start with killing by drone.

They will do everything in their power to protect their Dear Leader, lie for him, cover up for him and destroy good people and good things for him. As they taught us in journalism school in 1960, one important role of journalists was to be the watchdog of governemnt. Somehow the liberals got it backward and they have become the lapdogs of government.

Please see the testimony of Chris Rock.
Why does Rock support Obama?
Because he is Rock´s daddy, that´s why.
We have a vast "culture" in this country which desires a Glorious Leader. One like Stalin or Mao. One like Hitler or Mussolini.
They have found their GL in Zippy. So they bow down and worship him.
Chris Matthews told us this four years ago.
Zero reminds me of the potentates who had no need to walk on the ground; instead the peasants were required to lie on the ground so the ruler could step on their bodies. That is now called leadership.
Gross.
Disgusting.
Regrettable.
But factual.

One rainy morning this month, the man who thought he would be president boarded a train near his beach house in San Diego. He stepped off in Burbank, Calif., and caught a ride to a sound stage, where his on-again, off-again political consigliere, Mike Murphy, was waiting to shoot a commercial on a set that bore more than a passing resemblance to the Oval Office. Looking and sounding like a president out of central casting, he nailed his lines. The crew called him “one-take Romney,” and before he departed, they swarmed, extending arms around his shoulders and angling their iPhones for

ROME - Pope Francis washed the feet of 12 disabled and elderly people Thursday - women and non-Catholics among them - in a pre-Easter ritual designed to show his willingness to serve others like a "slave." Francis´ decision in 2013 to perform the Holy Thursday ritual on women and Muslim inmates at a juvenile detention center helped define his rule-breaking papacy just two weeks after his election. It riled traditionalist Catholics, who pointed to the Vatican´s own regulations that the ritual be performed only on men since Jesus´ 12 apostles were men.

What are the odds? I mean, Vladimir Putin does a call-in show and one guy who happens to get through—to ask a question in English—is Ed Snowden? In a few moments, Snowden became part of a Soviet-style propaganda machine, even though he clearly views himself as a public-spirited crusader. After Snowden leaked all those NSA documents to the Guardian and the Washington Post, which shared a Pulitzer Prize this week, he fled to Hong Kong and then to Moscow, which was more than happy

In Detroit´s unfolding saga, the only innocent victims are city residents. So if there is any case for a Motown bailout, it is to make the city more livable for them. However, that seems to be the main goal of neither the Democratic White House nor the state´s Republican governor -- both of whom have come up with nifty new schemes to shovel taxpayer largesse to city retirees. Just two weeks ago, Emergency Manager Kevyn Orr had been threatening to put a buzzsaw to the city´s $3.5 billion unfunded pension liabilities to lop off savings to “invest” in city services. Most voters think the White House is trying to cover-up what happened in Benghazi and want Congress to continue to investigate the administration’s handling of the attack on the U.S. consulate there that killed four Americans. That’s according to a Fox News poll released Thursday. Sixty percent of voters want lawmakers to keep investigating what happened in Benghazi. That’s down from 65 percent who felt that way in November, and a high of 73 percent in early June 2013.
