Whom Can The President Kill?
New Yorker, by Amy Davidson

Original Article

About a third of the way into in a Department of Justice white paper explaining why and when the President can kill American citizens, there is a citation that should give a reader pause. It comes in a section in which the author of the document, which was given to members of the Senate Intelligence and Judiciary committees last year—and obtained by Michael Isikoff, of NBC, on Monday—says that this power extends into every country in the world other than the United States, well beyond those where we are engaged in hostilities.

Poor Amy. She´s so disillusioned with Agent Double-0-Zero that she may not attend Sasha´s next birthday party.

It´s got to hurt - - hurt really badly - - to be a delusional leftist sycophant nowadays.

Very short step to expand the interpretation of this theory to include domestic activity.

Incremental-ism is the the preferred method for those who have a hidden agenda.

Obama is the Lance Armstrong of politics. Entire "fake narrative" of who he is. Wins by deception, cheating and lies. Destroys the lives of those who try to expose the charade. Fooling all the same elite celebrities and media types.

Whom??? Isn´t it who? In a headline? Somebody tell me the New Yorker is not that stupid.

Even some in the media are beginning to catch the drift. This is a lawless administration. The radical and narcissist who calls himself Barack Obama has only contempt for everything that is not himself - including the law.

Whom as the object of "kill" is correct. IMHO

Don´t worry, it only applies to infidels....ah, oops.

Couldn´t killing people in other countries by means of drones be considered an act of war? Our government sending a device into their sovereign territory to kill anyone we say is guilty of whatever we say?

Turn the situation around, and imagine Castro or Chavez or some other government´s dictator doing the same to the US. Would we not consider it an act of war?

How long will the mediatarts suck up to this guy?

Bammy can kill overseas Fox reporters if he deems them an enemy to his Badministration.

Hitler and Mussolini would envy our...

Obama´s "enemies" had better stay put on U.S. soil...Rush Limbaugh, Paul Ryan, any boy who happens to look at one of the first daughters. I don´t trust him, and I cannot believe that the Congress is sitting idly by while he claims a license to kill.

There are very few, if any, politicians I would trust with this authority. I am shocked we are not hearing more outrage from politicians and institutions.

The president can´t kill anyone.

He can´t even hold a shotgun correctly.

He can order people killed under existing rules.

We originally made these rules in case we ever have a woman president. Obama just happens to qualify under the same lack of physical attribute.

MSNBC´s number-one Obama fanboy, Chris Matthews, was obviously disappointed with President Obama´s letdown of a speech in Germany Tuesday. Rather than place the blame where it belonged -- on the empty rhetoric, hypocritical platitudes, and crowd 95% smaller than the one Obama captured in ´08 as a presidential candidate -- Matthews blamed it on the sun blotting out Obama´s teleprompter:

FBI director admits
domestic use of drones

The FBI uses drones for domestic surveillance purposes, the head of the agency told Congress early Wednesday. Robert Mueller, the director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, confirmed to lawmakers that the FBI owns several unmanned aerial vehicles, but has not adopted any strict policies or guidelines yet to govern the use of the controversial aircraft. “Does the FBI use drones for surveillance on US soil?” Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) asked Mr. Mueller during an oversight hearing on Capitol Hill Wednesday before the Senate Judiciary Committee. “Yes,” Mueller responded bluntly, adding that the FBI’s operation of drones is “very seldom.”

Distilled to a slogan, politics of late goes something like this: “I’m more fertile than you are.” It seems fecundity is emerging as the best argument for public office, policy or even citizenship. What was once an unconscious appraisal — Is this person strong, healthy and vital? — has morphed into the sort of explicit review one usually associates with an X rating. While male politicians have always strutted their stuff as a demonstration of virility and strength, most women until recently have had no such comparable public measures.

It would make things so much easier for everyone if Edward Snowden were working for China. And that’s certainly a possibility. His decision to flee to Hong Kong — a Chinese vassal — was an odd one, given that China is hardly a bulwark of transparency and civil rights. It’s a bit like complaining that Boston is too Catholic and then moving to Vatican City in protest. hen there’s the nature of the crime itself. Informed sources I’ve spoken with are generally aghast at what they say is the scope of information

Did senior State Department security

Two top officials at the State Department´s Diplomatic Security Service (DS) -- the federal law enforcement agency that protects American diplomats and investigates allegations of criminal misconduct by State Department employees -- gave sworn testimony earlier this year that appears to be evasive at best, and untrue at worst, according to evidence obtained by Fox News. The officials are Scott Bultrowicz, who until Feb. 1 served as director of DS, and Tracy H. Mahaffey, who remains the executive director of DS. In videotaped depositions conducted this past February,

Jimmy Hoffa´s disappearance almost 40 years ago has been the stuff of urban legend, prompting numerous theories about what happened to the former Teamsters leader. The FBI saw enough merit in a reputed Mafia captain´s tip to once again this week break out the digging equipment to search for the remains in an Oakland Township field, about 25 miles north of Detroit. The feisty Hoffa was last seen about 20 miles away on July 30, 1975, outside a restaurant where he was supposed to meet with a New Jersey Teamsters boss and a Detroit Mafia captain.

House Takes Up Far-Reaching
Anti-Abortion Bill

WASHINGTON — House Republicans on Tuesday make their most concerted effort of the year to change federal abortion law with legislation that would ban almost all abortions after a fetus reaches the age of 20 weeks. The "Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act," expected to pass by a comfortable margin late Tuesday, would be a direct challenge to the 1973 Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision that legalized abortions up to the time a fetus becomes viable. Fetal viability is generally considered to be at least 24 weeks into the pregnancy.

A group of whistleblowers, including a number of aviation experts, have come forward in a new documentary to claim that the official explanation for the crash of TWA Flight 800 was wrong and a gas tank explosion did not bring down the flight off the coast of Long Island 17 years ago. However, the six whistleblowers, all part of the original investigation team, stopped short of saying the plane was shot down. Flight 800, a Boeing 747, had just taken off from JFK airport with 230 people aboard on July 17, 1996 enroute to Paris when it exploded

An attorney whose firm represents two Benghazi whistleblowers said Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, lied to the Senate when he said there was never a “stand down” order during the Benghazi attack on Sept. 11, 2012. “What was fascinating is that he explained his lie to them,” Joe DiGenova, an attorney representing one of the whistleblowers, told CNSNews.com. “He actually said they were sent to Tripoli. They were needed in Benghazi,” said DiGenova, a former U.S. attorney, now with the Washington firm of DiGenova & Toensing.

Amid a steady rise of backlash, Edward Snowden, the 29-year-old former National Security Agency contractor who was the source of a spring of leaks about the agency´s surveillance methods, conducted a live chat on The Guardian´s website Monday morning. Judging from some of the pointed questions he´s been asked and the reaction to newly leaked revelations over the past few days, it´s clear that much of the sympathy and support Snowden had built up for his early exposures is eroding. Many Americans supported his decision to leak information about a pair of National Security Agency surveillance programs, which, he detailed, gathered information

Likening religious schools to segregation--a racist system that forced blacks to attend different schools and use different facilities than whites in the American South--President Barack Obama told a town hall meeting for youth in Belfast, Northern Ireland on Monday that there should not be Catholic and Protestant schools because such schools cause division. "Because issues like segregated schools and housing, lack of jobs and opportunity--symbols of history that are a source of pride for some and pain for others--these are not tangential to peace; they’re essential to it,"

Listening to Barack Obama give his speech in Belfast on Monday, it was hard not to stifle a yawn. I kept waiting for the part when he would say something interesting, but, about three quarters of the way through, realised it wasn’t going to come. Judging from television pictures some of his young audience felt the same, after the initial rush of euphoria of receiving the rock star president in their midst had passed. This is not surprising, for we had already heard this number about the inspirational role of the Northern Ireland peace process and the Emerald Isle’s

Charlie Rose last night asked President Obama his new Syria policy. The president first objected to it being called a new policy. "I´m not sure you can characterize this as a new policy. This is consistent with the policy that I´ve had throughout," he said. Obama then explained the goal is regional stability, and especially in Syria. "Really, what we´re trying to do is take sides against extremists of all sorts and in favor of people who are in favor of moderation, tolerance, representative government, and over the long-term, stability and prosperity for the people of Syria," said Obama.

Marco Rubio. Paul Ryan. The IRS. Illegal immigration. And fraud to the tune of billions.. Now there’s a combustible mix. Let’s start with the IRS, illegal immigration and fraud. We’ll come back in a minute to Senator Rubio and Congressman Ryan. For those who came in late, a year before the IRS scandals burst onto the scene in early May of 2013, an alert investigative reporter for WTHR-Indianapolis (Channel 13), Bob Segall by name, produced a stunning piece of journalism. Segall’s video report is found here and we will quote from his story for the basics.
