Panetta to propose military
pay cut after Obama raised
federal officials pay

Washington Examiner, by Joel Gehrke

Outgoing Defense Secretary Leon Panetta reportedly believes the military should receive a pay cut in order to respond to the budget cuts facing the Pentagon — a position that might strengthen the Republican push to reverse President Obama’s executive order raising the salary of Vice President Joe Biden and other federal officials. “Panetta will recommend to Congress that military salaries be limited to a one percent increase in 2014,” CNN reports, explaining that Panetta is “effectively decreasing troop salaries next year . . . The decision comes as the secretary is stepping up the rhetoric about dire cuts at the Pentagon if sequestration goes into effect.”

The Party of Treason strikes again...from LBJ to BHO...I have yet to find a Democrat President that gives a d#mn about the serviceman...to a Democrat the serviceman is a person who must go where they are told and then be screwed when it comes to pay or being able to vote in an election

This is going to be a daily ritual with the sequester. The GOP wants to slash military pay, kill grandma, starve your kids, kick your dog and steal all your money to give to the rich. It´s going to get ugly.

The Military´s pay (an all of our pay) ha already been cut, whilst the leeches in D.C. live like royalty. Everything we own is worth less and everything we need to live costs much more, so (in essence) everyone´s pay has been cut. But, those in DC take care of themselves first, of course.

Right on, #7. Military pay should go up or down precisely as congressional, executive and civilian government employees pay goes. They deserve no less.

Fine.
While we´re at it, let´s cut the pay of those USAF pilots who ferry this piece of crud crosscountry from California to DC on an almost weekly basis.
Let´s cut the pay of Obama´s Secret Service guards and his AF1 pilots too.

Actually, the bigger issue is not Panetta proposing to cut military pay, but in the fact that Obama has apparently increased the pay for federal workers, INLUDING THE VICE PRESIDENT, by Executive Order.
Increases to the compensation of the President and Vice President are the sole responsibility of Congress. This is a clear usurpation of power.

Panetta is shameless.

When you compare what we pay members of our military - to that of your local police person - it´s a pittance.

Members of our armed services can barely put food on their tables, nevermind keep the lights on.

Cut EVERY elected officials pay, along with Federal govt employees - first.

Beginning with Obama.

Before pay is cut for the troops, the Commander in Chief must step up and demand that his pay be cut first.
That´s leadership.

Republicans should have been front and center demanding federal employees (starting with themselves) take pay cuts. This is outrageous!!!!! OK, we hear them slobber over how much they respect our military men and women, get out there and prove it.

Why not? They´re doing away with breakfast for our fighting forces overseas. It is obvious that if it wasn´t for donations from the people, our returning injured vets would not be receiving all the care they should get. I love the charities that take care of wounded vets, and gives college scholarships to children of our vets who were killed. American people are wonderful, kind and generous and that is the first and foremost reason I stayed in this country.

London, England - A new wealth tax is being proposed by the leftist wing (The Liberal Democrats) of our coalition government that will come with unprecedented powers to enter our homes and root through our personal possessions to value rings, necklaces, paintings and furniture, anything that might raise more taxes. If we refuse to be inspected or get our own valuations wrong, we would be facing fines, maybe even a jail sentence. This brainchild was conceived by the Lib Dems for their next election manifesto and is part of a series of measures planned to tax the better off.

As most real conservatives know, Obama, by his own admissions, appointments, associates, and actions, is a hard-core, 21st century, Marxist revolutionary. This means that while he has no real plan for what his utopian, pie-in-the-sky collectivist state would look like, or how it would survive as an economic entity, he is dedicated to destroying our existing free, constitutional, capitalist republic to start the process. It also means that like all Marxists, archaic and modern, his primary enemy is what Marx called the bourgeoisie – the Middle Class. As those who went to school while actual history

MEXICO CITY — Mexico said Wednesday that it had records of more than 27,000 cases of “disappeared people” that it would make public soon in an effort to clarify the circumstances under which they vanished. A week from now, a dramatic new federal policy is set to go into effect that threatens U.S. national security, thousands of jobs and more. In a bit of irony, President Obama stood Tuesday with first responders who could lose their jobs if the policy goes into effect. Most Americans are just hearing about this Washington creation for the first time: the sequester. What they might not realize from Mr. Obama´s statements is that it is a product of the president´s own failed leadership.

Leaving aside for the moment the likelihood that parties and party politics in America will become moot within the next few years (owing to the emergence of a single party or the country’s dissolution into civil war), conservatives and libertarians are finding themselves at an unpleasant crossroads. While some observers gave up on the leadership of the Republican Party long ago, it is now becoming apparent to rank-and-file Republicans that the GOP leadership and its prominent operatives are wholly complicit in the fundamental transformation of America.

Less than a minute into his speech at the Boston marathon bombing memorial on Tuesday, Vice President Joe Biden went tragically off script and told the crowd of Boston bombing survivors that "it was worth it." After expressing how impressed he was with the tribute, he said somberly, "let me say to those ´quote survivors,´ my God, you have survived and you have soared. It was worth it. I mean this sincerely - just to hear each of you speak. You´re truly, truly inspiring." The audience sat in stunned silence until Biden declared, "I´ve never heard anything so beautiful than

I live in Las Vegas. I live and breath Nevada politics. Something is very wrong. Something smells rotten in the Nevada desert. And Senator Harry Reid’s fingerprints are all over it. I am of course referring to the Bundy Ranch siege. This was a dispute between a Nevada ranching family with rights to the land in question for 140 years and the BLM (Bureayu of Land Management). The government claims they haven’t paid grazing fees for 20 years. The result was a government assault on the ranch- including snipers with assault rifles, SUV’s, helicopters, airplanes and over 200 heavily armed troops. No

When it comes to tracking the cost of Obama family vacations, there are two primary challenges. First, the Obamas are prolific jet-setters, so there are many details to track. Second, the Obama administration, clearly embarrassed by these lavish and frequent family vacations, stonewalls the release of records at every turn. But we have been relentless in pursuit of this information. Our attorneys file the lawsuits and make our case, and our investigators pour through pages of records and crunch the numbers. And the information we’ve uncovered – information that would otherwise remain under lock and key – shows that the

Toddlers show racial bias when picking playmates, a study reveals. They also take account of how fairly others behave. Researchers tested the reaction of white 15-month-olds as toys were distributed. Two white adults divided the toys, one equally and the other unequally. Seventy per cent of the toddlers chose to play with the researcher who distributed the toys fairly. But in a second test, when one researcher favoured a white recipient over an Asian one, they picked the ‘fair’ researcher less often, the journal Frontiers in Psychology reports. And the babies are more likely to help those who share the same ethnicity, which is known as
