Head of the CIA isn´t a cabinet post, I think even McCain would go along with a filibuster of Brennan. Hopefully it won´t come to that.
He needs to be stopped.

wyden´s filibuster threat brings back bad memories of the publicity stunts pulled by feinstein where she poses as a reasonable moderate from time to time then always backpedels. wyden may have a bone thrown his way in the form of pork for the folks back home. In exchange he´ll walk back this little complaint.

Wyden, Oregon´s chief lobbyist, comes out of hiding from time to time, seemingly independent, seemingly bi-partisan, but in the end, as liberal as any. He´s a lobbyist because he´s paid, he lives in New York and Washington DC, and uses his vast campaign cash to easily win elections in a blindly liberal Oregon where he travels through from time to time. But he´s as about as Oregonian as The Rock Island Railroad.

Ron Wyden is a slimy, Ralph Nader wannabe. He came into office while we were still living in Oregon, and is one of the reasons that state has become a leftist hellhole.

The House voted to repeal ObamaCare on Thursday for the third time since Republicans took over the chamber in 2011. WASHINGTON - There were new questions Saturday night concerning if anyone in the White House was aware of the IRS´ targeting of conservative groups. Inspector General Russell George said he informed a deputy at the Treasury Department in June of 2012 about the probe into the IRS. The Treasury Department confirmed the timeline but said they did not know the details of the investigation until last week.(Snip)Marcus Owens ran the tax-exempt division at the IRS for 10 years. He said it isn´t difficult to figure out who´s doing what at the agency.

Treasury Secretary Jack Lew on Friday urged congressional leaders to raise the debt limit and insisted that the White House is not going to negotiate over the increase because lawmakers have "no choice." "We will not negotiate over the debt limit," Lew wrote. "The creditworthiness of the United States is non-negotiable. The question of whether the country must pay obligations it has already incurred is not open to debate." Lew said that while President Obama is willing to discuss plans to reduce the nation´s deficit with Congress, those talks must be kept separate from any effort to raise the nation´s debt cap.
