| It was a note on my daughter´s Facebook page asking for prayers for Sarai Sierra, the young mother of two, then missing for a week traveling alone in Turkey, that made me wonder if my daughter knew her. Sarai Sierra´s battered body was discovered near a highway in Istanbul, last weekend. (Snip) I was even more shocked when I saw her picture after she was found murdered in Istanbul for I recognized her as a girl who grew up with my children. In fact I also knew quite well the woman who was supposed to have traveled with Sarai

sorry folks, if you´re a female and you travel alone in a country like Turkey, you´re just stupid. like those young folks who "hiked" on the border between Iran and Iraq. and she had kids at home!! just stupid!

A first person antidote to the ugly speculation about Ms. Sierra that is beginning to seep into the media.
And an admonishment that we should have nothing to do with countries that do not protect our travelers.
Very good.

RIP Sarai. She had a sense of adventure and didn´t fully understand the risk. There is no safe place in North Africa and the Middle East.

Istanbul was on the Formula One circuit not that long ago.
Leftists (Feminists) prefer to punish the GOP because we consistently fail to behead them for it.
Everything about the middle east is abusive.
It´s not a great place to be a little boy either.

Heartfelt and thoughtful lament from Alicia Colon. I wish everyone in America would read it and understand better what radical Islam has done and is doing to the world.

Word is circulating that Sierra was in Turkey for very shady reasons - - having nothing to do with photography.
I advise withholding the blubbering until all the facts come out about this most curious story.

An American murdered in Africa? I´m certain our pResident will jump right on this with his investigation and study of the situation. His being a protector of all Americans and all. Wait, just a minute, he has to warm up his drone.

I do not think it is blubbering to regret the death of a young American mother and to use that as a warning about traveling to Muslim countries in the time of Wahhabism and sharia

Doesn´t add up...
Why Sarai staying in a flat... for a woman alone and new to travel...rather than a secure hotel..in Turkey a Muslim country...
Beaten to death but money, phone and Jewelry left behind
There is a David Jimenez, Sarai´s brothers name.... in Global Intelligence who worked at Military University..at Linked
Google up Khalid Said and Sarai Jimenez...the video that set Egypt on fire for the ridiculously named Arab Spring... Turning it over to IslamoCommunists and the Muslim Brotherhood by a woman named Sarai Jimenez
Perhaps confused identity
Why the FBI goes right to Turkey to find Sarai... ...Yet waits 4 months after our Ambassador and Seals murdered in Benghazi? One is an important international event..the other wasn´t ??
Turkey was the conduit...for the illegal weapons and missiles that left Benghazi...on there way to Syria... Turkey is the home of directed jihad by there president...and our presidents close friend and ally. So I imagine he is assisting our FBI....while the FBZi is there perhaps they can ask what the Turkish Counsel was doing meeting Ambassador Stevens in Benghazi on 9/11 right before he was murdered...did that Counsel also meet with Sarai on the bridge?.

Conspiracy mongering aside, presumably all can agree that this woman was impulsive and rash. As a traveler, she had to have known that the Muslim world is hostile to females; viscerally so for westerners traveling alone.

In the Persian Gulf as dod tech rep. We are easy targets. State issues monthly warning messages but amount to CYA. Basically, "Where do we send your corpse" in case of assasination.

Gen. John Allen has been appointed special U.S. envoy on security issues in negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian Authority. He will not mediate between the parties; his work will almost exclusively involve contacts with Israel. Allen will deal with the U.S. position on Israeli security needs and the security arrangements that would accompany the establishment of a future Palestinian state. Senior U.S. and Israeli officials note that while U.S. Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel made the appointment it was coordinated with U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, who is leading the effort to restart Israeli-Palestinian negotiations.

Conservative radio host Mark Levin is very skeptical of the idea that President Obama had absolutely no idea about the IRS tea party targeting before the story broke in the news mere weeks ago. Levin declared adamantly that it is a “flat-out, bald-faced lie” that Obama didn’t know beforehand, citing prior reports by a few conservative news outlets picking up on the news well before the 2012 presidential election. Levin said, “I don’t believe for two seconds that Obama wasn’t aware of this.”

President Obama on Thursday nominated Victoria Nuland, a State Department official involved in the editing of the administration´s talking points on Benghazi, to be the next assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs. Nuland, a career foreign service officer who was until recently State´s top spokesperson, had long been expected to be nominated the post to replace Philip Gordon, who Obama picked to serve as Middle East coordinator for the National Security Council. Nuland´s nomination -- which requires Senate confirmation -- could come under scrutiny from Republicans who see her as playing a central role in shaping

Anthony Weiner’s New York mayoral candidacy was only made more improbable today after he revealed that he visited a Houston psychiatric facility following his resignation from Congress in 2011. Haunted by scandal surrounding his sexually explicit online communications with women, the Democratic former congressman sought treatment for his compulsive behavior from mental health professionals at the Gabbard Center. According to its website, the facility provides “3-day outpatient psychiatric evaluation,” particularly to “professionals who are in personal or professional crises.” While Weiner did not disclose

On Wednesday, Drummer Lee Rigby of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, a man who had served Queen and country honorably in the hell of Helmand Province in Afghanistan, emerged from his barracks on Wellington Street, named after the Duke thereof, in southeast London. Minutes later, he was hacked to death in broad daylight and in full view of onlookers by two men with machetes who crowed "Allahu Akbar!" as they dumped his carcass in the middle of the street like so much roadkill. As grotesque as this act of savagery was, the aftermath was even more unsettling

Washington rumor has it that Obama wants to be U.N. Secretary General. There are several reasons that make that likely, and if it´s true, it throws new light on a lot of Obama´s oddities -- including his Royalty Bows, his Apology Tours, his Muslim Sellout, and the Benghazi Cover-Up. But first -- why would Obama be planning to become the chief of the U.N. before he has even finished his second term?

MARK LEVIN: So why didn´t Chairman Issa hold an investigative hearing a year ago? Why didn´t Chairman Camp, all Republicans, hold an investigative hearing a year ago, and all the other tripping over themselves right now? I´ll tell you why. Because the establishment Republicans, the RINO Republicans, despise the Tea Party. They despise the conservative movement. We exist to be managed, to be shuttled to the polling place, to vote for their candidates. The Karl Roves of the world, and all the rest of them. They fight us in the primaries, they fight us at the grassroots.

Fox News chief Roger Ailes has sent a memo to his subordinates at the leading cable news network. He sent this memo to his staff today in connection with the federal investigation into an alleged leak to Fox News reporter James Rosen, a story that the Washington Post’s Ann E. Marimow broke earlier this week. The memo’s a masterpiece, too. For all those who wonder what it is about Ailes that endears his people to him — and that makes him such a good interviewee for any media reporter lucky enough to get an audience
