| The Congressional Budget Office´s just-released economic forecast for 2013 is dispiriting, to say the least. The GDP is expected to grow by only 1.4%, the unemployment rate will "stay near" 8%, the deficit will reach $845 billion, and ObamaCare will cost 7 million their health insurance. The CBO says things will improve after that, but after three years of being told by the government and its media that "prosperity is just around the corner," you´ll just have to pardon my cynicism. The media, however, will talk only about how much better the CBO says things will get, because

A single payer National Health Care System and a 6%(my estimate) VAT to finance the gargantuan welfare state and an atrophied nearly useless military is the goal. The collateral damage is of little or no concern. Leaving this to the next Democrat POTUS in 2017 is the only goal of this regime. 2014 (maybe) the last chance. After that all will be lost!

Sadly, this means more Obama organized attacks on GOP, which serves as the Booosh replacement for 2013-2016. Boehner, McConnell and colleagues have to have counter these spurious attacks from AP, NBC and rest of the media with clear messages on growth, smaller government, etc.
As Obama has the media attacking GOP, he´ll be shoving more economy breaking regs upon business. The media will avoid making connection between vast regs and stagnant economy.

But he inherited the economic disaster from Bush. Riiight. Haven´t heard that one in a while. Also what we haven´t heard is the MSM discussing increases in rates of poverty and homelessness, etc. which they love to harp about when those mean Republicans are in office. We need to fight back by working on the margins of the Democrat party.
They aren´t as liberal as Obama, and most of the other elected Democrats.
So, work on the margins to pull over those not as liberal or who support the liberal agenda of higher gasoline prices.
Doesn´t matter if we can´t "do anything about it", they SUPPORT and advocate for higher prices, which really hurts the lower income folks the most.

Every Memorial Day, when I run into the grocery store to pick up those last minute items for the three day weekend’s picnic, I’m met with members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) selling their poppies. We cherish, too, the poppy red/ that grows on fields where valor led; It seems to signal to the skies/that blood of heroes never dies-- “We Shall Keep the Faith” by Moina Michael -I remember as a kid that it was very common to see paper poppies being sold around Memorial Day. A 17-year-old boy and 22-year-old man were killed within hours of each other in separate West Side attacks Friday night, and a 29-year-old man was killed on the South Side, officials said. The youngest of the three killed was with an 18-year-old friend; both were shot about 11:30 p.m. in the 400 block of North Central Avenue in the Austin neighborhood. GUJRAT, Pakistan- At least 17 children were killed and 10 others injured when a gas cylinder on a school van exploded Saturday in northeastern Pakistan, officials said. The van, carrying 20 to 25 children, caught fire after the cylinder exploded, Dawn News reported. The driver survived but a teacher was reportedly killed, the BBC reported. The children, ages 5 to 15, were just a few miles from their school in Gujrat when the compressed natural gas canister exploded.
