| Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives on Tuesday challenged President Barack Obama´s central goal for immigration reform that would put 11 million undocumented residents on a path to citizenship, adding fresh doubts on whether legislation can be passed this year. During a kick-off hearing, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte explored a possible "middle ground" between the current U.S. policy of deporting those who have come to the United States illegally and of placing them on a path to citizenship, as Obama has demanded. Saw the news reported that the House Judiciary Chmn is saying "not so fast"
when it comes to the immigration reform plan by certain Senators.
The chairman is planning a set of hearings to "educate" Members, which will throw
cold water on it, we can hope. This is the start of that process.
You combine the amnesty nonsense with the voter registration changes pushed by the
Kommies and even blind dolts can manage to read the Tea Party leaves. Thank GAWD.

First the Republicans should never go along with any sort of amnesty for illegal aliens until new and effective enforcement measures are in place and working. If the Republicans allow the Democrats to push amnesty to the forefront like happened in 1986, the Democrats, after they get their amnesty, will oppose and sabotage all the enforcement efforts politically in Congress, in the courts, and administratively.
The most important of all the enforcement elements is an enhanced e-verify system based upon a modernized social security card to keep future illegal aliens out of US employment. If that is not done, illegal aliens will continue to come here, and before every future election the Democrats will demand another amnesty.
The Republicans should never go along with a Democrat written "path to citizenship" amnesty. If the Republicans do that, before they know what happened the Democrats will have registered 10 million new voters as a result.
Longtime illegal aliens should only be granted an indefinite conditional immigration status for as long as they abide by US law. That status should allow them to stay here, work, and to travel internationally.
To go further through the US immigration system, if they wish, all the aliens with conditional status should first have to qualify for an immigrant visa just like all legal immigrants must do. Once qualified for an immigrant visa they can then apply for permanent residence (a green card). Then five years after attaining permanent residence those aliens, if they wish, could then apply for naturalization and become US citizens.
If the Republicans allow the Democrats to naturalize 11-20 million legalized aliens en-mass after a time certain, through a "path to citizenship" amnesty, they will be handing the Democrats 10 million or more new voters and will have committed long-term political suicide.

The Obama administration has reportedly tried to enlist the NBA in helping it sell Obamacare to the American people. It’s unclear whether a potential marketing partnership would put big-name players at the center of ad campaigns or if it would be as simple as putting the NBA trademark on marketing materials, Politico first reported today. People can begin signing up for Obamacare in October, with the new insurance coverage kicking in next year. Many have speculated that the enrollment campaigns would benefit from a celebrity endorsement or partnership with a major sports league.

An attorney whose firm represents two Benghazi whistleblowers said Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, lied to the Senate when he said there was never a “stand down” order during the Benghazi attack on Sept. 11, 2012. “What was fascinating is that he explained his lie to them,” Joe DiGenova, an attorney representing one of the whistleblowers, told CNSNews.com. “He actually said they were sent to Tripoli. Charlie Rose last night asked President Obama his new Syria policy. The president first objected to it being called a new policy. "I´m not sure you can characterize this as a new policy. This is consistent with the policy that I´ve had throughout," he said. Obama then explained the goal is regional stability, and especially in Syria. "Really, what we´re trying to do is take sides against extremists of all sorts and in favor of people who are in favor of moderation, tolerance, representative government, and over the long-term, stability and prosperity for the people of Syria," said Obama.
