Piers Morgan Shocked By
‘UnbelievablePower’ After
Firing Assault Rifles At

President Obama recently proved that he shoots skeet, and now Piers Morgan can say he’s shot an AR-15. Morgan traveled to Texas today to find out what it’s like to shoot the gun “used in the last five mass shootings in America,” including Sandy Hook Elementary School. Morgan interviewed the owner of a Houston gun range, as he took his turns firing various version of the AR-15 semi-automatic rifle with a 30-round magazine. His aim wasn’t perfect, but as Morgan said, “once I got the hang of it and began pressing the trigger faster and faster, it was

The .223 rifle is NOT an unbelievable power. To an effeminate Englishman, any rifle would be "unbelievable."

How often has Piers Morgan shot a rifle, or has he ever shot a rifle before? If he has ever shot a rifle was it other than a 22 at Coney Island?

I have to assume the range owner had the special paperwork and license to own a fully automatic AR-15. However IF Morgan broke ANY gun laws with this stunt, by all means prosecute to the fullest extent of the law.

Inherent to the question of ´why would any civilian want one of these,´ is the assumption that sooner or later that civilian will commit a crime and therefore should be denied the ability to legally own whatever it is the leftist is talking about. Of course for toads like Morgan everyone IS guilty until they prove they are innocent, a byproduct of being a subject under the thumb of some halfarsed King. Over here we used to have a thing called personal responsibility and then if you committed a crime, you did the time. No excuses. Now it is all pre-crime, Orwell world.

It is not legal to buy full auto trigger parts or an drop-in auto sear unless it´s registered (prior to 1986), and you go through a 6-month background check, wait and pay about $10,000+ for the sear alone.

Again another lie. The only guns used at Sandy Hook school were the 4 handguns. The AR15 was found in the car, yet the media perpetuates the lie.

Unbelievable power from an AR-15? Try my Garand or M1A some time.

Oh wait, that´s right. They were stolen. I no longer have them, or any other firearm. No ammo either.

Dadgummit.

An AR-15, is the civilian, semi-automatic version, of he mliitary M-16. An AR-15 is essentially a high capacity ugly varmit rifle.

Hey Piers: Try shooting a run-of-the-mill 30-06, bolt action, hunting rifle. In your T-sshirt. Then you will better understand power.

The Bushmaster was reported to be found in the vehicle-------handguns inside, but yet we read just the opposite on the Sandy Hook shootings.

Why did Feinstein exempt Congress and Gov´t employees in her proposed bill-----just as many crazies in Congress and Government positions as in the non-governmental positions.

I wish they had him on video firing some semi-auto "Fudd" guns in .30-06, .308 caliber.

Better yet, They should have given him a (bolt-action) Mosin-Nagant carbine to shoot, belching fire and likely having Piers crying "no mas" and rubbing his shoulder after five rounds downrange.

Perhaps then he would learn the AR-15 isn´t particularly more power than most rifles, and he would also, perhaps, have an understanding as to why it is the most popular centerfire semi-auto rifle in the country.

Unfortunately, many who would foist these usurpations upon us have never owned or fired a rifle. They have as much validity in determining who "should" and who "needs" a particular firearm as a person who has only rode a horse would have in determining what automobiles are best for everyone else.

#´s 10, 11, 12, I recently had the chance to shoot a .50 revolver.
Now THAT had some kick, but I gotta tell you, years back I shot a .357; old frame, no force mitigation and that had WAY more than the new frames.
Was very very surprised.
#7, you too, huh? Seems to be a real rash of that going on lately........

Can somebody in Connecticut get the police report on the school shooting? It should be available to the public. I read that the the killer used three hand guns and that he had a semi automatic rifle that was left in his vehicle.

Now that you know how to use it, I suppose we should ban you from any and all school campuses. Afterall, the mere shooting of such a "powerful weapon" makes everyone who does it an official deranged nutcase. In Pier´s case, he is already an official deranged nutcase so why did they let a certifiable nutcase even shoot such a weapon?

White House Senior Adviser Dan Pfeiffer made the Sunday show rounds this week, including a stop at Fox News Sunday, where Chris Wallace pressed him on the administration’s handling of and response to the Benghazi attack. Wallace persisted on the topic of the emails about the talking points in particular — but the two couldn’t manage to agree. Wallace began by questioning Pfeiffer about what President Obama did the night of the attack and whether he was in the situation room — but Pfeiffer said Obama was kept updated, and didn’t provide specifics, contending that which room Obama

Even as his administration has faced intense scrutiny over a trio of controversies, President Obama’s approval rating hasn’t suffered, according to a new CNN/ORC International poll released Sunday. Fifty-three percent of Americans said they approve of the job the president is doing, while 45 percent said they disapprove. That’s virtually unchanged from an early April survey in which Obama’s approval/disapproval split was 51 percent to 47 percent. The poll is one of the earliest indicators of how Obama’s image has been affected during one of the worst weeks of his presidency.

WASHINGTON There´s an irony in the Internal Revenue Service´s crackdown on conservative groups. The nation´s tax agency has admitted to inappropriately scrutinizing smaller tea party organizations that applied for tax-exempt status. But the IRS largely maintained a hands-off policy with the much larger, big-budget organizations on the left and right that were most influential in the 2012 elections and are organized under a section of the tax code that allows them to hide their donors. Two Congressmen are asking the Treasury Department if it inappropriately scrutinized conservative-owned businesses the same way it targeted Tea Party groups filing for tax-exempt status. Republicans Mike Kelly (PA-03) and Jim Renacci (OH-16) circulated a letter Thursday requesting Treasury Secretary Jack Lew to release documents detailing the process and methodology the Automotive Task Force used to shut down General Motors dealerships in 2009 during the automotive industry crisis. Renacci´s Northeast Ohio Chevrolet dealership was closed in 2010 after losing a battle with General Motors. Obama administration officials who were in key positions on Sept. 11, 2012, acknowledge that a range of mistakes were made the night of the attacks on the U.S. missions in Benghazi, and in messaging to Congress and the public in the aftermath. The officials spoke to CBS News in a series of interviews and communications under the condition of anonymity so that they could be more frank in their assessments. They do not all agree on the list of mistakes and it's important to note that they universally claim that any errors or missteps did not cost lives and reflect "incompetence rather than malice or cover up.

In the wake of one of the worst abuses of government power in recent history, many are rushing to frame the Internal Revenue Service scandal as simply an attack on conservative activists. That view risks creating a partisan political football and misses a fundamentally scarier abuse that exceeds the scandals of Watergate or any other prior government abuse. The IRS has admitted that since May 2010 it targeted grassroots-conservative organizations that had applied for tax-exempt status, unfairly subjecting them to rigorous scrutiny due to their political leanings. Such groups were told they were required to comply with IRS requests,

Treasury Secretary Jack Lew on Friday urged congressional leaders to raise the debt limit and insisted that the White House is not going to negotiate over the increase because lawmakers have "no choice." "We will not negotiate over the debt limit," Lew wrote. "The creditworthiness of the United States is non-negotiable. The question of whether the country must pay obligations it has already incurred is not open to debate." Lew said that while President Obama is willing to discuss plans to reduce the nation´s deficit with Congress, those talks must be kept separate from any effort to raise the nation´s debt cap.

What did President Obama do on the evening of 9/11/12 when our men were under attack in Benghazi? The invaluable Andrew McCarthy reminds us that Obama and Secretary Clinton had a 10:00 p.m. phone call of which many (including, I think, Chris Wallace) have lost sight.
