Piers Morgan Shocked By
‘UnbelievablePower’ After
Firing Assault Rifles At

President Obama recently proved that he shoots skeet, and now Piers Morgan can say he’s shot an AR-15. Morgan traveled to Texas today to find out what it’s like to shoot the gun “used in the last five mass shootings in America,” including Sandy Hook Elementary School. Morgan interviewed the owner of a Houston gun range, as he took his turns firing various version of the AR-15 semi-automatic rifle with a 30-round magazine. His aim wasn’t perfect, but as Morgan said, “once I got the hang of it and began pressing the trigger faster and faster, it was

The .223 rifle is NOT an unbelievable power. To an effeminate Englishman, any rifle would be "unbelievable."

How often has Piers Morgan shot a rifle, or has he ever shot a rifle before? If he has ever shot a rifle was it other than a 22 at Coney Island?

I have to assume the range owner had the special paperwork and license to own a fully automatic AR-15. However IF Morgan broke ANY gun laws with this stunt, by all means prosecute to the fullest extent of the law.

Inherent to the question of ´why would any civilian want one of these,´ is the assumption that sooner or later that civilian will commit a crime and therefore should be denied the ability to legally own whatever it is the leftist is talking about. Of course for toads like Morgan everyone IS guilty until they prove they are innocent, a byproduct of being a subject under the thumb of some halfarsed King. Over here we used to have a thing called personal responsibility and then if you committed a crime, you did the time. No excuses. Now it is all pre-crime, Orwell world.

It is not legal to buy full auto trigger parts or an drop-in auto sear unless it´s registered (prior to 1986), and you go through a 6-month background check, wait and pay about $10,000+ for the sear alone.

Again another lie. The only guns used at Sandy Hook school were the 4 handguns. The AR15 was found in the car, yet the media perpetuates the lie.

Unbelievable power from an AR-15? Try my Garand or M1A some time.

Oh wait, that´s right. They were stolen. I no longer have them, or any other firearm. No ammo either.

An AR-15, is the civilian, semi-automatic version, of he mliitary M-16. An AR-15 is essentially a high capacity ugly varmit rifle.

Hey Piers: Try shooting a run-of-the-mill 30-06, bolt action, hunting rifle. In your T-sshirt. Then you will better understand power.

The Bushmaster was reported to be found in the vehicle-------handguns inside, but yet we read just the opposite on the Sandy Hook shootings.

Why did Feinstein exempt Congress and Gov´t employees in her proposed bill-----just as many crazies in Congress and Government positions as in the non-governmental positions.

I wish they had him on video firing some semi-auto "Fudd" guns in .30-06, .308 caliber.

Better yet, They should have given him a (bolt-action) Mosin-Nagant carbine to shoot, belching fire and likely having Piers crying "no mas" and rubbing his shoulder after five rounds downrange.

Perhaps then he would learn the AR-15 isn´t particularly more power than most rifles, and he would also, perhaps, have an understanding as to why it is the most popular centerfire semi-auto rifle in the country.

Unfortunately, many who would foist these usurpations upon us have never owned or fired a rifle. They have as much validity in determining who "should" and who "needs" a particular firearm as a person who has only rode a horse would have in determining what automobiles are best for everyone else.

#´s 10, 11, 12, I recently had the chance to shoot a .50 revolver.
Now THAT had some kick, but I gotta tell you, years back I shot a .357; old frame, no force mitigation and that had WAY more than the new frames.
Was very very surprised.

Can somebody in Connecticut get the police report on the school shooting? It should be available to the public. I read that the the killer used three hand guns and that he had a semi automatic rifle that was left in his vehicle.

Now that you know how to use it, I suppose we should ban you from any and all school campuses. Afterall, the mere shooting of such a "powerful weapon" makes everyone who does it an official deranged nutcase. In Pier´s case, he is already an official deranged nutcase so why did they let a certifiable nutcase even shoot such a weapon?

CHARLESTON, S.C. — It didn’t take much for Ted Cruz to bring a crowd of conservatives to its feet here. By the time the Texas Republican senator finished speaking Tuesday night, an adoring audience hailed Cruz and his no-compromise, combative style of conservatism that has made him the scourge of the GOP establishment but a hero of the tea party. “Liberty is under assault today like never before,” Cruz said, pacing the stage like a televangelist. But even in deep-red South Carolina, a well-received speech full of Cruz’s signature flair is no guarantee that the firebrand politician could win the

New Census questions will change the findings on the impact of ObamaCare, reported the New York Times on Tuesday. The broadcast networks ignored this new report on the Tuesday evening newscasts, however. In fact, a census official told the Times they "are expecting much lower numbers" of the uninsured "just because of the questions and how they are asked." As the Times stated, the Census Bureau "is changing its annual survey so thoroughly that it will be difficult to measure the effects of President Obama’s health care law in the next report, due this fall, census officials said." U.S. military assets in the Black Sea are on high alert amid reports Ukraine troops traded gunfire Tuesday with pro-Russian militants. A journalist with Associated Press reported intense gunfire at an airport in eastern Ukraine after the government sent in army troops to retake control from militiamen loyal to Russian President Vladimir Putin. The mayor of Kramatorsk told the Associated Press that Ukrainian troops have now occupied the military airport and are blocking its entrance. The action comes a day after the revelation a Russian fighter jetted buzzed a U.S.S. destroyer multiple times over the Black Sea.

House Democrats are rolling out a new strategy to target 30 House Republicans on immigration reform during the two-week congressional recess, marking a last-ditch effort to force GOP action on a legislative overhaul. The new pressure tactic includes a memo distributed to those 30 districts held by Republicans who have expressed public support for some sort of immigration reform, many of them backing a pathway to citizenship for millions of undocumented immigrants in the United States. Democrats hope the document — which highlights statements made by those Republicans in favor of reform, as well as data showing the district-specific economic

Scott Walker has a 16 point lead (56-40) among likely voters in his race for governor, according to a poll from Wisconsin Public Radio/St. Norbert’s. Among registered voters, his lead is essentially the same (55-40). The survey was conducted between March 24 and April 3. A Marquette University survey conducted between March 20-23 also showed Walker with a nice, though smaller, lead. In that poll, Walker outdistanced Democrat Mary Burke 48-41. Revealingly, Walker fares well in an electorate that does not seem particularly conservative and that, if anything, appears to be slightly to the left of American voters in general.

This is deeply disturbing, and anyone—or any university—who values ethics should be concerned. Why is this? Because he was part of the failed Obama administration? On Saturday, I wrote about the standoff at Bundy Ranch. That post drew a remarkable amount of traffic, even though, as I wrote then, I had not quite decided what to make of the story. Since then, I have continued to study the facts and have drawn some conclusions. Here they are. First, it must be admitted that legally, Bundy doesn’t have a leg to stand on. The Bureau of Land Management has been charging him grazing fees since the early 1990s, which he has refused to pay. Further, BLM has issued orders limiting the area on which Bundy’s cows can

Although the Civil Rights Act, the landmark legislation which just reached its 50th anniversary, made great strides in desegregating the economy, economic discrimination is still widespread, and anti-discrimination legislation alone can never rectify the economic damage inflicted upon blacks by slavery and our Jim Crow apartheid regime. The Civil Rights Act was a mild reform, all things considered, but one conservatives fought with vigor and one many conservatives are still bitter about to this day. When the Civil Rights Act passed in 1964, the primary purpose was to root out discrimination in public accommodations (like hotels and movie theaters)
