What we have witnessed over the last few decades is the increasing professionalization of this particular class of persons – where the object of their scholarly interests range across a number of subjects that aren’t reducible to questions of race. These individuals stand alongside those who work explicitly on racial matters, but their work doesn’t necessarily reach beyond the confines of a specialized academic community. I recognize only two black intellectuals, Thomas Sowell and Walter Williams. If they take a position, you can depend on a constitutional basis.

Add to the list of intellectuals who are black, the name of Dr. Walter Broadnax, former deputy secretary of HHS during Bill Clinton´s reign, former college president, now a professor at the Maxwell School of Syracuse University.

The writer actually does a fair job of pointing the intellectual hypocrisy of "authentically black intellectuals", such as #1 reminds us, Cornell West. He does not, however, either discuss black intellectuals who do not drink at the trough of liberalism. Nor does he point out why the damage these "authentically black intellectuals" have inflicted and continue to inflict on average black Americans.

...the majority of "black intellectuals" are affirmative action quacks advancing the white liberal democrat plantation agenda -keeping blacks enslaved to welfare- and guaranteeing black votes... the real intellectuals, who happen to be black, condemn the democrat´s plantation destruction to the black community and are insulted, excoriated, slandered, criticized, threatened and smeared with horrible vulgar names...the cleanest being "uncle tom"...I love and respect these brave men and women who speak the truth and actually risk their well being by angering the violent democrat machine.

The facts just keep coming out of Ohio. It is hard to comprehend what they went through, those young women. What they felt while trapped by a monster through those lost years of their early adulthood is almost impossible to fathom. How did they cope? How did they get through each day? A close friend of mine was sexually abused as a teenaged girl. It was a man she knew. It lasted for years. She never told anyone — not her mom, not her friends. She didn’t tell because, like so many women who are abused, she blamed herself.

Let’s see if we can unravel one of the great mysteries of the Obama Administration. The latest invocations of the Incompetence Defense from President Obama, Eric Holder, and now the departing Acting IRS Commissioner (hilariously described by the Associated Press as “ousted,” even though he’s leaving exactly when he was originally scheduled to depart, in June) hold that all of these super-genius leaders found out about various outrages by watching the news, along with the rest of us. They have no idea what their subordinates do every day, until it blows up into a huge scandal on the evening news, and that’s why they should be left in charge of everything.

WASHINGTON - There were new questions Saturday night concerning if anyone in the White House was aware of the IRS´ targeting of conservative groups. Inspector General Russell George said he informed a deputy at the Treasury Department in June of 2012 about the probe into the IRS. The Treasury Department confirmed the timeline but said they did not know the details of the investigation until last week.(Snip)Marcus Owens ran the tax-exempt division at the IRS for 10 years. He said it isn´t difficult to figure out who´s doing what at the agency.

Treasury Secretary Jack Lew on Friday urged congressional leaders to raise the debt limit and insisted that the White House is not going to negotiate over the increase because lawmakers have "no choice." "We will not negotiate over the debt limit," Lew wrote. "The creditworthiness of the United States is non-negotiable. The question of whether the country must pay obligations it has already incurred is not open to debate." Lew said that while President Obama is willing to discuss plans to reduce the nation´s deficit with Congress, those talks must be kept separate from any effort to raise the nation´s debt cap.
