| The Department of Justice has developed a white paper outlining the specific circumstances under which the United States can conduct a lethal drone strike against an American citizen, a copy of which was obtained Monday by NBC News. The paper provides the first detailed look at the criteria the Obama administration uses to judge if it can legally kill American citizens traveling abroad without the benefit of due process. The release of the administration´s legal rationale comes days before CIA nominee John Brennan is scheduled to testify before the Senate Intelligence Committee. Panel members, including Sen. I know everyone here is going to jump out of their skins, but this is nothing more than an appropriate continuation of the Bush Doctrine which he outlined in his speech to both houses, the nation and the world on Sept. 21, 2001. The best war time speech of our generation. This IS a war like no others and the U S does need tools like this to prosecute that war.
But, you might ask, why is 0bama continuing this doctrine when it clearly can only be used to protect America´s interests?
That is the big question to which the answer probably is - so he can protect his administration from criticism for being weak in all other areas.
Don´t flip out over this. This power will be needed by our leaders on the future.

Couple the new - and now unrestricted use of drones, with the GPS readings taken at every household in the 2010 Census, and several billion rounds of hollow point ammunition, and New York´s SAFE act listing the name of every person who purchases ammunition, and you might get a conspiracy theorist excited.

Talk about your kangaroo court! Obama murders an american teenager in cold blood and then gets his stooge Eric Holder to tell him that it´s legal! Well sorry pal the law says no and no amount of DOJ hogwash will make it right. The constitution says "due process" and a pass from "Fast and Furious" Holder won´t make it okay. The supremes are the arbiters of that and I don´t believe that they were consulted.

Has anyone ever heard of the Posse Comitatus Act to limit the government use of military weapons on it´s own citizens. This was violated in Waco Texas under Janet Reno. Obama and the left is eager to leave citizens defenceless but freely use ever more sophisticated weapons against citizens. Using drones for surveillance of citizens should also be limited and require warrants. Perhaps a compromise could be the ability to declare citizenship suspended for anyone who fights with a jihadist organization especially if they are in some foreign hidout! There was one case of one of these scum who had US citizenship and was killed by a drone. The law should not be based on some exceptional case!

It is understood that a contingency plan is in place for the unlikely event that an attempt would be made on the President’s life. The Secret Service also have diplomatic immunity which will allow them to shoot to kill a would-be assassin without fear of prosecution. As part of the “evacuation route” plan, they would be able to spirit the President by chopper to one of the carriers where a jet is on standby to take him back to the United States.
