Obama’s new contraception
rules try to fool Catholics

Washington Post, by Michael Gerson

Original Article

The Obama administration’s latest revision of its contraceptive policy was welcomed by some religious people as a breakthrough, even a “miracle.” Upon reflection, it seems less like the parting of the Red Sea than a parlor trick. At issue is whether Obamacare’s broad mandate of insurance coverage for contraceptives, sterilization and abortifacients should apply to institutions with moral objections. For more than a year, the administration has struggled to clarify a set of regulations, while provoking 44 legal challenges.

Depends if you are a ´Real´ Catholic or one like Biden, Pelosi, or Kerry ~ they are already fooled and fools to believe they are not useful idiots that will be thrown under the bus before Obama is through with us.

Is anyone stupid enough to believe that this is anything other than an unconstitutional threat to religious freedom? This administration is an embarrassment to everyone with a brain!

Everything Obama has ever done as "president" was meant to fool people. Everything Obama will ever do as "president" will be meant to fool people. Given that the Left is based upon a complete lie, there is no other way it can be.

The Obama crew must have feared losing in court to move the goalposts like they did by suddenly revising that administration policy?

Call me a conspiracist but given the history of this odious President and his evil cabal, this latest "contraception rule" looks more like another backdoor attempt to squash Christianity in America.

This isn´t about getting the money from religious organizations, nor is it about making them pay for contraception. It is about chipping away more mortar from the foundation stone of Christianity, and for that matter, all religion in America except Islam, who seem to have free rein in changing our culture and our laws.

When we are in negotiations for what part of our rights we will be allowed to keep/observe, we have lost the argument. Vote these bums out or better yet impeach ´em.

so how does this situation compare to the religious conscientious objectors during the Vietnam draft? seems to me like if you´re going to treat Catholics this way, any kind of "religious" objection to any government policy goes out the door. can´t have it both ways. or maybe Obama can, unfortunately.

I went to a " meet and greet" with Ken Cuccinelli last night. He is the Virginia AG who filed the first ( I believe ) lawsuit against 0bamacare within minutes of it being signed into law. He is now running for governor against Terry McAuliffe - the renter of the Lincoln Bedroom for the Clinton´s and man behind the Global Crossing disaster.

If I understood him correctly, Cuccinelli says that the solution to this attack on religions is for states to NOT set up healthcare exchanges. No exchange means that businesses, schools, churches, etc can not be fined. I hope he´s right on that. Virginia is not setting up an exchange.

I have an "accomodation" for Obama: Since we are talking abortifacents and how Catholics have to make sure they are offered, let´s do a retroactive abortive action and apply it to Pelosi, Reid, Kerry, etc. Let´s go ahead and declare the democrat party an endangered species and work in that direction.

In regards to the Supremes, after the revolution and the vile leaders are put to sleep, the Patriot Council will review the recent decisions of the Supreme Court: any judge who has been shown to judge with a tack towards/for liberal agenda time and time again will be judged/declared biased, incapable of impartiality, summarily pushed out the window of their Supreme Court office. Hello Kagin and Sotomayor? Buh bye! Yes the traitor on healthcare gets the same treatment.

No doubt most Catholics who voted for Obama are cool with abortion, etc., or else are completely oblivious. This last group is too involved with watching Obama Network News, Honey Boo Boo, Girls, or Monday Night Football for this to register with them. And if you tried to warn them, they would insist you are dead wrong.

The Catholic church, the only large group now with its panties in a twist, actually hopped into bed with the left back in the 1960´s. Now they are complaining about the fleas and bed bugs that are biting them! It´s the Vatican that is now driving this boat and a few (very few) older, conservative bishops. That´s it. The laity slowly turned left and are okay with it all. My local parish priest practically demanded that we voted for Obama --- or we must look at why we weren´t doing that and it might be because we are racists!

Why is it so important to Obama that Catholics have to be made to kill the innocent? There are plenty of non Catholic hospitals who comply to this deed. Why the Catholics and then Christian community? Does he need this for a reason? Isn´t their enough blood shed in the United States America already?

They need to be lied to in order to justify their vote for this criminal in the oval office.

I think the dividing line among the laity is based upon regular Mass attendance. Those that are active in the Faith and receive the Sacraments regularly see through the Obama deception. Its the "cultural Catholics" who no longer practice their Faith, but still retain a romantic notion about identifying themselves as Catholic, that are the useful idiots that skew towards liberal shibboleths. (Caveat: Too many of the faithful laity are bound to that 1960´s union with the left that #11 described.)

"Progressivism" requires that the great monotheistic religions, which built western civilization, be destroyed. They think they are using Islam for this purpose and once Christianity and Judaism are gone they will be able to dispatch the muzzies. Stupid suicidal liberals.

I´ve been struggling since the election to find any reason to continue to believe in our political process. The GOP has made it abundantly clear that they consider their base to be an obstacle, and defending our constitutional rights too much to ask. There is nothing left to render under Caesar.

I will render all unto God. He is my rock and my fortress. Let me know when the shooting starts. Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition. (If you stocked up back in "09.)

I don´t understand why more priests and highers up don´t call out piglosi, kerry (I was in Vietnman) and sicbilis. I can´t judge (errr, but it is hard not to) but surely our spiritual leaders can call them to account.
The kenyan idiot is trying to stand out Christianity and Judism.
There is NO reasonable basis to send fighter jets to the muslim brotherhood (fka Egypt) other than to arm them to attack Israel.

Here is a woman we will need to learn much more about in the coming weeks. Sarah Hall Ingram is a highly valued employee at the IRS. In the last three years she has received $103,390 in bonuses for her excellent work. She was the Commissioner of the Tax-Exempt and Government Entitles Division. Under her leadership, groups that expressed a fear of large, out-of-control government were systematically crushed by her branch of our large, out-of-control government. They were specifically singled out for harassment for political reasons. Secret information about the conservative applicants was leaked to leftist

An exasperated Rep. I was on Hugh Hewitt’s radio show last night, talking about the Benghazi talking point emails. Near the end of the segment, Hugh asked whether I thought the presidential election might have turned out differently if Obama and Clinton had not succeeded in covering up the truth about Benghazi. I was skeptical. The story of the election, I said, was the Obama campaign’s ability to turn out, once again, a large majority of the low-information voters who swept Obama into office in 2008. Few of those low-information voters, I said, would either have understood, or cared about, Benghazi

As tax collector for the nation’s second-largest state, I know it’s a necessary function — from the fire station to the space station, nothing government does is possible without taxes. But it’s sure no path to popularity. Tax collectors have had a rotten reputation since biblical times. For all the services and all the people that depend on it, our work has to be viewed as fair and even-handed. It’s a basic bond of trust, and once that trust is lost, it’s hard to get back. Our entire nation was born when the colonists decided Britain’s taxes were unfair

While many Democrats have joined Republicans in public shaming of the Internal Revenue Service for singling out conservative groups, others say the scandal is just a byproduct of muddied rules about nonprofits and political activity in the wake of the Citizens United ruling — and they’re hoping that they can steer the conversation from outrage over political targeting to fuel for campaign finance reform. But senior Dems may have much more than an opportunity to try to turn scandal to their advantage: they may have a degree of culpability as one especially vocal proponent

The Internal Revenue Service´s watchdog told top Treasury officials around June 2012 he was investigating allegations the tax agency had targeted conservative groups, for the first time indicating that Obama administration officials were aware of the explosive matter in the midst of the president´s re-election campaign. The disclosure to the Treasury general counsel and the deputy secretary was a cursory one, according to J. Russell George, the Treasury inspector general for tax administration. He said he didn´t reveal conclusions of the probe, which was in its early stages, and his disclosure came as part

In today’s hearing before the House Ways and Means Committee, outgoing not-really-fired commissioner Steven Miller admitted that a high-ranking member of the Internal Revenue Service planted the question that led to the agency’s apology for targeting conservatives. [IRS official] Lerner disclosed the information last Friday while speaking at a tax conference organized by the American Bar Association. Asked about the incident, she said only that she answered honestly a question that was posed to her. The question, however, was posed to Lerner by Celia Roady, a Washington, D.C. tax lawyer who sits

STANDING BEFORE reporters Thursday, President Obama declined an invitation to compare the recent scandals weighing down his administration with those that forced President Nixon to resign in 1974. So allow us to do the work for him: There is no comparison. Nixon, in a series of crimes that collectively came to be known as Watergate, directed from the White House and Justice Department a concerted campaign against those he perceived as political enemies, in the process subverting the FBI, the IRS, other government agencies and the electoral process to his nefarious purposes. Mr. Obama has done nothing of the kind.

Obama administration officials who were in key positions on Sept. 11, 2012, acknowledge that a range of mistakes were made the night of the attacks on the U.S. missions in Benghazi, and in messaging to Congress and the public in the aftermath. The officials spoke to CBS News in a series of interviews and communications under the condition of anonymity so that they could be more frank in their assessments. They do not all agree on the list of mistakes and it's important to note that they universally claim that any errors or missteps did not cost lives and reflect "incompetence rather than malice or cover up.

“I look forward to taking some questions at tomorrow’s press conference,” President Obama said last night, after announcing the resignation of the acting IRS commissioner Steven Miller. The president scheduled a noon press conference today with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan in honor of his visit. Reporters, however, found themselves waiting outside in the rain for Obama, who was 47 minutes late. Only New York Times reporter Mark Landler had an umbrella.
