| RUSH: Glenn in Waterloo, Iowa. Hi. Great to have you on the program, sir. Hello. CALLER: Hi, Rush. Long-time listener, first-time caller. RUSH: Thank you, sir. CALLER: Hey, I was wondering. I was watching the Norah O´Donnell show on CBS This Morning, and the boy king had an interview last night before the game. He was saying how much health care was costing so much money. I thought he fixed that. RUSH: Yeah. Well -- he-he-he-he -- another misdirection.

What´s truly sad it they don´t want you to buy insurance. They want you to pay the penalty until you´re hooked. Then they´ll say, "You´ve cheated the government out of 10,000 a year, for 2 years, now you have to pay full freight. Stop complaining."

Rutgers University jus tannounced it won´t be able to sell health insurance for students next year. Thousands of students of all ages get the high deductible, high co-pay, but broad coverage policies through the University pool. Where will they get ins next year? I bet almost all of them voted for O, and, in part, because he was for healthcare.

Yes, previous poster. Now what Stinky wants to do with our wealth...excuse me, what´s left of our weath...is he wants to keeps us buying foreign oil with it. That´s why Stinky the Gunrunner won´t build the Keystone Pipeline and approve the LNG permits. He wants us beholden and subsidizing the Arabs. No way he wants us getting rich and not buying overseas oil.
Remember, Stinky the Gunrunner has only learned how to crash the plane. He doesn´t know how to fix anything.

So how are 11 to 20 million amnestied aliens who earn low wages, if they can even find a job at all in this lousy economy, going to pay $20,000.00 a year per family for Obama Care medical coverage? It´s not going to happen!
There will never be only one government run health care system in the USA for everybody in the country. The minimum number of health care systems that will be operating throughout the USA will always be two.
The reason for that is that once the government sets up a single payer government run health care system, called Obama Care II or whatever. There will be a second health care system established. That will be a private first class health care system for the rich and famous, along with the professional political class and everyone else who can pay for their health care privately.
While Obama Care II will be staffed by a lot of foreign doctors and nurses who will be imported en mass from places like India, Pakistan, the Philippines, Russia, China and other third world countries to run the public system, the private system will be run by top flight US educated doctors and nurses.
Obama says that he wanted everybody to have the same opportunities, to be treated fairly and equally, but as you can see in the realm of health care that will not be the case, you can take that to the bank!

Talk about art imitating life. I landed upon a classic movie while surfing TV channels. Kirk Douglas played a down-on-his-luck news reporter. When I began watching the movie, a man named Leo was trapped in a collapsed cave. Douglas managed to crawl within a few feet of Leo and was chatting with Leo, assuring the scared man that he would be rescued ASAP. But secretly, Douglas had other plans. Keeping Leo trapped for at least seven days could revive Douglas´s career. He had exclusive access to Leo. Writing daily updates could produce tremendous financial rewards;

Over the weekend, I saw an article by Heather Long complaining that Obama has turned out to be a lot like Bush: "This isn´t the president so many took to the streets to cheer on in 2008. And the blame for that can´t be placed solely on partisan politics or the media´s thirst for a good scandal." Miss Long reminisces about the excitement of election night 2008. She saw people in the streets celebrating the coming of Obama. She recalls the anticipation of a new day, here, there and everywhere. Well, I also remember election night 2008.

Film and television stars hit Republicans on Wednesday for their opposition to abortion rights and free access to birth control. Stanley Tucci, Morena Baccarin, Mehcad Brooks and others appeared in a Web video where they slammed conservative positions on women´s health as retrograde. The international Center for Reproductive Rights (CRR) is behind the multi-stage campaign to push President Obama to make women´s health issues a centerpiece of his second term. The group is also raising support for its Bill of Reproductive Rights.

As the old saying goes, beware of Greeks bearing gifts; but as the new saying goes, beware even more of Republicans bearing bribes. In either case, one could get destroyed (or at least corrupted) from the inside by trusting the wrong people. Since 2006, with the beginnings of the breakaway of populist conservatives from the national Republican Party via the Tea Party movement, the GOP has been trying to figure out how to co-opt and capture it once again, just as George W. Bush did with many elements of the conservative movement in the early years of the 21st century.

Major news outlets in recent days have reported that U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius is raising money from the private sector—including from health-care executives—for use by a private entity that is helping to implement ObamaCare. The entity, Enroll America, is run by a former White House aide. The Washington Post quoted an HHS spokesman last week saying, "We requested additional money [from Congress] . . . but we didn´t receive any additional funding for the exchanges. So we had to come up with Plan B." My immediate thought was: Isn´t "Plan B" what got

Every day brings new revelations about who knew what about the IRS targeting conservative groups during President Obama´s re-election campaign, but the overall impression is of a vast federal bureaucracy run amok. While the White House continues to peddle the story of a driverless train wreck, taxpayers are being treated to a demonstration of the dangers of an unwieldy and unaccountable administrative state. Look, Ma, no hands! In his press events, Mr. Obama has said that while he learned about the Cincinnati rogues on the news, he plans to "hold accountable those who have taken these outrageous actions."

Scandal Watch: New evidence makes it clear that the Internal Revenue Service campaign against conservatives wasn´t the result of two "rogue" agents, but was directed from higher up. The question is, how high up? The claim that a couple of workers in the bowels of an IRS office in Cincinnati managed to block tax-exempt applications from conservative groups for more than two years, while subjecting them to outrageous, intrusive and improper requests for information, started falling apart days ago. Last weekend, the Washington Post quoted a staffer saying that "everything comes from the top" at the IRS.

Former Rep. Anthony Weiner, whose career in public life came to an abrupt end when he sent lewd pictures to a college student on Twitter, jumped back into politics on Wednesday by announcing a bid for mayor of New York City. “Look, I’ve made some big mistakes and I know I’ve let a lot of people down,” the Democrat said in a 2-minute video announcing his bid. “But I’ve also learned some tough lessons. I’m running for mayor because I’ve been fighting for the middle class and those struggling to make it for my entire life.

The dam protecting the IRS scandal began to crack today when Lois Lerner, the IRS official who announced, and apologized for, the improper singling out of conservative-leaning organizations by IRS employees under her command, announced through her criminal defense lawyer that she will not testify as scheduled tomorrow before the House Oversight Committee. Rather, she will assert her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. This marks an enormous milestone in the IRS investigation. It can now be taken as more or less established that crimes were committed by Obama administration employees. Lerner’s lawyer tried to minimize the significance

WASHINGTON – A top IRS official in the division that reviews nonprofit groups will invoke the Fifth Amendment and refuse to answer questions before a House committee investigating the agency’s improper screening of conservative nonprofit groups. Lois Lerner, the head of the exempt organizations division of the IRS, won’t answer questions about what she knew about the improper screening – or why she didn’t reveal it to Congress, according to a letter from her defense lawyer, William W. Taylor 3rd. Lerner was scheduled to appear before the House Oversight committee Wednesday.

When you get right down to it, the political targeting and stalling of tax-exempt applications by the IRS was an effort to defund the Tea Party. Rick Santelli, one of the Tea Party founders and my CNBC colleague, was the first to make this point. I’ve taken it a step further: The IRS was taking the Tea Party out of play for the 2012 election, as it looked to avoid a repeat of 2010 and another Tea Party landslide. There are a lot of numbers out there.

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa said embattled IRS official Lois Lerner waived her Fifth Amendment rights and will be hauled back to appear before his panel again. The California Republican said Lerner’s Fifth Amendment right to avoid self-incrimination was voided when she gave an opening statement this morning denying any wrongdoing and professing pride in her government service. “When I asked her her questions from the very beginning, I did so so she could assert her rights prior to any statement,” Issa told POLITICO. “She chose not to do so — so she waived.”

Former Democratic National committee chairman Howard Dean considers the controversy over Benghazi a “joke” and “silly.” “Benghazi is a laughable joke,” Dean proclaimed twice in a discussion with Republican National Committee communications chairman Sean Spicer last week. “With all due respect, governor, when four Americans die serving this country, that’s not a joke, sir,” Spicer responded. “Oh, stop it,” said Dean. The former Democratic presidential candidate also said that there were “no serious questions being asked about Benghazi” and brushed it off as an effort by Republicans to score political points.
