Labor Department union boss:
We were happier under Bush

Washington Examiner, by Joel Gehrke

“Why did you lead us out of Egypt?” the Labor Department union boss, who recalls happier times under President George W. Bush, must wonder when he looks at a picture of President Obama. The local 12 chapter of the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) is so frustrated with the political appointees at the top of the Labor Department that they are now reduced to pining for the Bush years. “At our meeting today, of about fifty members, there was general consternation about the fact that Seth Harris is Acting Secretary of Labor

Uh-oh... Article says their monthly parking rates are going up.
No wonder they´re so concerned about things in Washington now.

Too bad they don´t seem to be equally concerned about our nation´s fate
under the illustrious Wannabe Kommie Dicktater.

These morons wanted him, worked really really hard to get him and now that they have him, they don´t want him? Cry me a freakin river, you dikheads. And stop yer whining. I hope they have to go down the big black hole with the rest of us who DIDN´T vote for the Kenyan. My favorite bumper sticker: Don´t blame me. I voted for the American.

Love it. Probably more than any other factor - blind Union support was one of the keys to a second term for Obummer.

Payback is a Bush, ain´t it boys?

Too bad you guys didn´t grow a brain during his first term - but hey - us non-union types heard plenty about his ´largesse´ (even illegal varieties) to unions.

Sucks when you´re bought and paid for, and find out you got the short end of the stick.

Look for this to be retracted, denied, clarified and revised downward. Unexpectedly.

When you elect a guy who gets a thrill out of putting the screws to anybody and everybody, your number will eventually come up. Those promises he made you? He WON. Sorry about your luck.

Well said #3. They deserve him, not you and me and the rest of us. All we can do is sit back and say I told you so. That´s if those dopes are smart and/or honest enough to fess up to their mistake.

Marxism is great as long as it´s in China/Cuba, but Obie has brought it home and in your face. Hows that Marxism working out for ya, Unions?

If they would follow Obama and Chu orders, the union would car pool or otherwise just move closer to work. What difference does $250 a month make anyway? Obama spending doesn´t even have that low a denomination.

Defense Department (DOD) officials decided to stop covering a certain form of physical therapy for the disable children of military members, despite an administrative judge’s ruling that the treatment is covered under the law. “For my daughter, this therapy means life, death or some horrible surgery, but she’s not alone — there are 27 other military families who use the center where Kaitlyn goes,” Jennifer Samuels told Military Times. DOD decided not to pay for a physical therapy program for

"Let´s face facts: the American media is in an abusive relationship with Obama." So marvelously said Dennis Miller on Fox New´s the O´Reilly Factor in a discussion about the Internal Revenue Service scandal Wednesday (video follows with transcript and absolutely no need for additional commentary): DENNIS MILLER: Nobody in the press is going to bear in on this. Let´s face facts: the American media is in an abusive relationship with Obama. They don´t quite know what to do. If you take the New York Times, you could refer to it as "Fifty Shades of Grey Lady."

The signs keep accumulating that the IRS scandal is worse than liberals are willing to concede. On Bill Press´s radio show yesterday, a reporter with left-leaning Politico told Press that the Internal Revenue Service dragging its feet on applications for tax-exempt status from tea party groups probably affected the outcome of last year´s election. (Video after the jump) Here´s what Politico´s Lauren French told Press (audio) -- PRESS: So, Lauren, you´ve been covering this IRS scandal. How big is it really? How serious is it really, do you think? FRENCH:

On Wednesday, CNN anchor Jake Tapper dug into the controversial way in which members of President Barack Obama’s administration have apparently tried to intimidate whistleblowers in the government and the journalists that would investigate their stories. Tapper said that some, including the New York Times editorial board, have described the administration’s actions as “threatening fundamental freedoms of the press.” He warned Obama’s supporters to remember the precedent his administration is setting when a Republican next occupies the Oval Office. Tapper noted that the scandal surrounding the subpoenaing of Fox News reporter James Rosen’s personal telephone and email

Even though 132 members of Congress sent former Internal Revenue Service Commissioner Douglas Shulman letters about the IRS targeting of conservative groups, Shulman reiterated Wednesday that he did not have the full story until the inspector general’s report came out. “In the two years that this targeting was taking place, did any member of Congress contact you? Write you? About this particular subject? Ohio Republican Rep. Jim Jordan asked during a House Oversight hearing. “Did you get letters from Congress?”

The chief judge of the District’s federal court issued an unusual order Wednesday, apologizing to the public and the media for not making certain court documents widely available online. The gesture of transparency by U.S. District Judge Royce C. Lamberth comes at a time when the Obama administration is under scrutiny for an unprecedented number of leak investigations, including one showing that the Justice Department had secretly probed the news-gathering activities of Fox News reporter James Rosen. The investigation of Rosen was first reported Monday, after The Washington

In some other universe this would be shocking. In this universe it’s par for the course, and I don’t mean the golf course, but the guy who makes the golf course his second home. The US Attorney for the District of Columbia, Ronald C. Machen – the man responsible for the aggressive surveillance and phone record scrutiny at Fox News – is also a big donor to the Obama Campaigns. At the time of his appointment, the Washington Post wrote a profile on Machen including this tidbit: Over the years, he has donated $4,350 to Obama’s campaigns.

Former Rep. I’m running for mayor because I’ve been fighting for the middle class and those struggling to make it for my entire life.

The dam protecting the IRS scandal began to crack today when Lois Lerner, the IRS official who announced, and apologized for, the improper singling out of conservative-leaning organizations by IRS employees under her command, announced through her criminal defense lawyer that she will not testify as scheduled tomorrow before the House Oversight Committee. Rather, she will assert her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. This marks an enormous milestone in the IRS investigation. It can now be taken as more or less established that crimes were committed by Obama administration employees. Lerner’s lawyer tried to minimize the significance

The wheels came off the Obama administration yesterday. We learned of a startling assault on freedom of the press by the Department of Justice, following the revelation last week of the unprecedented information-gathering foray by that department against The Associated Press. Then, a few minutes later, the Justice Department’s inspector general released a report declaring that the US attorney in Arizona used the leak of a confidential memo to try to discredit a whistleblower in the notorious “gun-walking” scandal known as Fast and Furious (which got two federal agents killed). The leak was called “egregious.”

WASHINGTON – A top IRS official in the division that reviews nonprofit groups will invoke the Fifth Amendment and refuse to answer questions before a House committee investigating the agency’s improper screening of conservative nonprofit groups. Lois Lerner, the head of the exempt organizations division of the IRS, won’t answer questions about what she knew about the improper screening – or why she didn’t reveal it to Congress, according to a letter from her defense lawyer, William W. Taylor 3rd. Lerner was scheduled to appear before the House Oversight committee Wednesday.

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa said embattled IRS official Lois Lerner waived her Fifth Amendment rights and will be hauled back to appear before his panel again. The California Republican said Lerner’s Fifth Amendment right to avoid self-incrimination was voided when she gave an opening statement this morning denying any wrongdoing and professing pride in her government service. “When I asked her her questions from the very beginning, I did so so she could assert her rights prior to any statement,” Issa told POLITICO. “She chose not to do so — so she waived.”

Former Democratic National committee chairman Howard Dean considers the controversy over Benghazi a “joke” and “silly.” “Benghazi is a laughable joke,” Dean proclaimed twice in a discussion with Republican National Committee communications chairman Sean Spicer last week. “With all due respect, governor, when four Americans die serving this country, that’s not a joke, sir,” Spicer responded. “Oh, stop it,” said Dean. The former Democratic presidential candidate also said that there were “no serious questions being asked about Benghazi” and brushed it off as an effort by Republicans to score political points.
