GOP Congressman Calls McCain
Racist for Ahmadinejad Joke

A Republican congressman called Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) racist for making a joke about Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s space ambitions. Fresh off the Islamic Republic swearing that it really did send a monkey into orbit, the president has volunteered to go to space himself, reported Mehr News Agency this morning. “I am ready to be the first human to be sent to space by Iranian scientists,” Ahmadinejad said. “So Ahmadinejad wants to be first Iranian in space – wasn’t he just there last week? ‘Iran launches monkey into space,’” McCain tweeted. Some 20 minutes later, after multiple

When did ´Iranian´ become a race? Maybe about the same time ´Hispanic´ or ´Latino´ or any other thin-skinned attention-seeking group needed some publicity.

From Wiki: Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and raised in Kentwood, Michigan, Amash is a second generation Arab-American of Palestinian Christian and Syrian Greek Orthodox descent.[4] His father is a Palestinian business owner, whose family immigrated to the United States in 1956 through the sponsorship of a Christian pastor and his family. Amash attended Kelloggsville Christian School and graduated as class valedictorian from Grand Rapids Christian High School. He graduated from the University of Michigan magna cum laude with an A.B. in Economics and earned his J.D. at the University of Michigan Law School in 2005.[5]

I agree with other posters that think it was actually funny what McCain said. It´s bad enough that DEMS have NO sense of humor. After all the harassing threats on & butt of jokes that Dems, O, WH etc have made of Tea Party & GOP, you´d think a Republican wouldn´t be such a stick in the mud about Crazy Ahmadineijad.. Sheesh!

I like his Bomb, Bomb Iran ditty better.

Ahmadinejad´s a pig, he´s sub-human. He and Chavez joked about nuking the US last year. This congressman is way out of line.

This guy is a Republican? Strange to see such sanctimonious behavior that´s usually the domain of the Democrats. Instead of laughter, they prefer to use a humorous situation or joke as an offense. They cannot help but focus attention on themselves as the righteous ones. Michigan? Does a constituent muslim base demand such groveling for support?

Reply 17 - Posted by: JHHolliday, 2/4/2013 3:25:16 PM     (No. 9158070)

I had an Iranian tell me very forcefully once that he was not an Arab. I think they prefer Persian or at least this guy did.

And someone needs to punch A-Jad´s ticket....maybe send him a poisoned banana.

Iranians are Aryans (Caucasians). So, is McCain racist for calling an Aryan or a Caucasian a monkey???? This shows just how ignorant people are...

Hey, if anyone here has Amash as a Representative, they should contact him and tell him that Iranians are NOT Arab. They are caucasians. So there was NO race involved in the joke.

In 2007, then Senator Barack Obama appeared on CNN´s Larry King Live and called on U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales to resign. Obama said Gonzales was acting more like the president´s attorney than the people´s attorney and viewed himself as an "enabler of the administration." "Well, I voted against Alberto Gonzales confirmation for precisely the reason we are seeing now. I said this on the floor of the senate, that although he seemed to be a capable attorney, he seemed to conceive his role as being the president´s attorney instead of being the people´s attorney," Obama said.

The way to prevent abortionists like convicted murderer Kermit Gosnell from occurring again is to build more Planned Parenthood clinics, Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) said at a House Judiciary Subcommittee hearing on Thursday about legislation that would prevent abortion after 20 weeks nationwide. “I would urge my colleagues to think about the extent to which he, Dr. Gosnell, represented the poor quality of health care services available in poorer communities,” Nadler said at the Subcommittee on the Constitution and Civil Justice hearing. “We should be working to make sure that high quality

House Speaker John A. Boehner on Thursday flatly ruled out chances of the House passing the Senate’s immigration bill, saying his chamber will debate its own bill instead. The Ohio Republican and his top lieutenants in the party issued a joint statement that seemed designed to tamp down some of the momentum behind the Senate bill, which emerged from a committee on a bipartisan 13-5 vote this week, and to stake out a House GOP position. “While we applaud the progress made by our Senate colleagues, there are numerous ways in which

During friendly questioning from Rep. Hank “I fear that Guam will capsize!” Johnson in Congress last week, Attorney General Eric Holder offered the following statement. In regard to potential prosecution of the press for the disclosure of material. This is not something I’ve ever been involved in, heard of, or would think would be wise policy. He made that statement before the facts about the sweep on Fox News’ James Rosen were known. Since then, it’s come to light that Holder himself approved the subpoena that, among other things, named Rosen as a criminal co-conspirator.

As the saying goes, scratch a liberal and you’ll find a tyrant underneath. NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo is but the latest example. He shoved a very restrictive and ill-considered gun law through the state legislature in the dead of night. Among its flaws, the law criminalized police officers who tote firearms with magazines that hold more than seven rounds. Sheriffs around the state have objected to the law. Cuomo summoned them to the state capitol under what appears to be a false pretext, and used the meeting to threaten them into silence. Cuomo invited

The National Council of La Raza (translation: The Race) has partnered with the Office of Personnel Management to encourage Hispanic activists and members to burrow into the federal government. A workshop sponsored by La Raza/The Race will take place in New Orleans on July 23, 2013. Senior Executive Service (SES) employees are federal government employees in special executive management positions, often with salaries approaching $200,000 per year (and well past that with benefits). Washington rumor has it that Obama wants to be U.N. Secretary General. There are several reasons that make that likely, and if it´s true, it throws new light on a lot of Obama´s oddities -- including his Royalty Bows, his Apology Tours, his Muslim Sellout, and the Benghazi Cover-Up. But first -- why would Obama be planning to become the chief of the U.N. before he has even finished his second term?

On Wednesday, Drummer Lee Rigby of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, a man who had served Queen and country honorably in the hell of Helmand Province in Afghanistan, emerged from his barracks on Wellington Street, named after the Duke thereof, in southeast London. Minutes later, he was hacked to death in broad daylight and in full view of onlookers by two men with machetes who crowed "Allahu Akbar!" as they dumped his carcass in the middle of the street like so much roadkill. As grotesque as this act of savagery was, the aftermath was even more unsettling

Abuse Of Power: Any scandal investigation that expects a "Eureka!" moment, a White House e-mail, or Oval Office smoking gun will be misguided. In fact, the dots are already connected directly to the president. Barack Obama is not foolish enough to have a tape recording system hidden in his desk. And his administration staff are not careless enough to send one another incriminating e-mails. If the president was behind the IRS unlawfully harassing conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status, we can be sure the communications were all sotto voce and in persona, like any good Chicago political operator.

A Washington state Democrat is accusing Republicans of “throwing American infrastructure … under the bus” after a bridge collapse there this week. The portion of Interstate 5 in Washington that runs over the Skagit River collapsed on Thursday after a truck hit an overhead support structure, but Rep.
