| The current debate over guns has revealed the National Rifle Association as an “insane organization,” Nobel Prize-winning economist Paul Krugman said on Sunday. The New York Times columnist said on ABC’s “This Week” Sunday political roundtable that some pro-gun advocates “have this vision we’re living in a ‘Mad Max’ movie.”

That beady eyed little liar who finds it amusing to hang political opponents in efigy would know insane.

Krugman is not a neutral, competent commentator on the subject of sanity.

Seriously - Krugman commenting on ´insanity´ is a bit like a rabid dog commenting on dental hygiene...
Never a dull moment. I grew up in NYC. Guns were illegal there, and I can´t count the number of guns I saw in Manhattan.
Curiously - liberals can´t seem to get a handle on how stupid they are in this area. No law of *any* kind - will deter a criminal. Tip to Paul - that´s why they´re known as criminals.
Elsewhere, there are actually people known as ´journalists´. Krugman jumped that shark some time ago...

This a man who supports abortion - millions are killed. So, who is exactly insane?
Let these progressive, liberal, socialists, Democrats rant. Gun owners will not vote for these nuts for a host of reasons.

insanity is, Paul, doing the same thing over and over (like deficit spending w.o results) and expecting a different outcome.

The NRA should send him a thank you note, that stupid statement should be worth another half million new NRA members. If I were not already a member, I´d be signing up today if for no other reason than to irritate that baboon. I might consider starting a new membership in his name just for fun!

Typical liberal tripe. So the NRA, which has over 4 million dues-paying members (grassroots organization if ever there was one) is ´an insane organization´ but Krugman (one man - hopefully one vote), who has been wrong almost every time he opens his mouth is sane? Typical.

The Krugmans of this world have created the coming "Mad Max" scenario that they fear so much.
It´s not the NRA that feels the need to alter the language, corrupt the culture, suppress free speech, debase the currency and borrow our children into oblivion.
But should that scorched earth, post apocalyptic world come to America I plan to have a bigger and faster and louder dune buggy than Paul.

I am a member of the NRA and basically, part of the organization. I am not insane, but, maybe according to a liberal and the media, I am because I support the Constitution. It has held us in good stead over almost 250 years. Until the current administration and its media friends who are trying to negate it came along, it has served us well.

The NRA is a civil rights organization. Krugman, delusional as always, and his ilk are doing their incompetent, irrational best to make a Mad Max scenario actually come to fruition.
The concept that police actually have a duty to make you safe as an individual has been litigated repeatedly and refuted.
FACT: You, individually, have exactly as much security as you bring with you, and no more. The police provide an investigative capability to try to catch crimials AFTER the crime, and general peace keeping. This is not a complaint about police, just a recognition of how the world really works. Sometimes they do arrive in time to stop a crime, but it is sadly, unusual.
Krugman lives on another planet, in addition the fact that he is delusional.

Mackenzie Weinger? Paul Krugman? In a sane world, these two know-nothing idiots would be mocked, ridiculed, and laughed at by everyone. But we live in upside-down bizarro world where jerks like these two worship choom-boy Barry Soetoro for his skeet-shooting and his curtain-hanging. The NYTimes is a cesspool of queer writers and columnists who seem bent on changing everything traditional and weakening our nation and our resolve, and to that purpose I must say to them...SCREW YOU!

John Kerry has prompted a Gallic shrug by refusing to speak French at his maiden news conference as US Secretary of State. Asked to answer a question with a "bit of French please", he said: "Not today. I got to refresh myself on that." The response surprised some in the francophone world as Mr Kerry attended a Swiss boarding school and is known to speak the language well.

Fidel Castro has made a rare public appearance after he voted in the country´s parliamentary elections. Millions of Cubans joined the 86-year-old former leader of Cuba to vote in what critics have branded a ´closed´ election that offers no real competition. The revolutionary icon, who appears in public only occasionally now since he fell ill in 2006, was among those voting in Havana yesterday. The government has defended. the process, saying it is a show of grass-roots democracy. Headline split, info corrected by staff

WASHINGTON – The Internal Revenue Serviced scandal today spread further within the White House and closer to President Obama. White House spokesman Jay Carney today disclosed that Obama’s chief of staff, Dennis McDonough, and other top White House officials had advance warning that the IRS was targeting conservative groups. But he insisted McDonough and the other White House officials purposely kept Obama out of the loop.McDonough “rightly chose not to take action” to inform Obama, Carney told reporters at the daily White House briefing.

Former Rep. Anthony Weiner, whose career in public life came to an abrupt end when he sent lewd pictures to a college student on Twitter, jumped back into politics on Wednesday by announcing a bid for mayor of New York City. “Look, I’ve made some big mistakes and I know I’ve let a lot of people down,” the Democrat said in a 2-minute video announcing his bid. “But I’ve also learned some tough lessons. I’m running for mayor because I’ve been fighting for the middle class and those struggling to make it for my entire life.

The wheels came off the Obama administration yesterday. We learned of a startling assault on freedom of the press by the Department of Justice, following the revelation last week of the unprecedented information-gathering foray by that department against The Associated Press. Then, a few minutes later, the Justice Department’s inspector general released a report declaring that the US attorney in Arizona used the leak of a confidential memo to try to discredit a whistleblower in the notorious “gun-walking” scandal known as Fast and Furious (which got two federal agents killed). The leak was called “egregious.”

WASHINGTON – A top IRS official in the division that reviews nonprofit groups will invoke the Fifth Amendment and refuse to answer questions before a House committee investigating the agency’s improper screening of conservative nonprofit groups. Lois Lerner, the head of the exempt organizations division of the IRS, won’t answer questions about what she knew about the improper screening – or why she didn’t reveal it to Congress, according to a letter from her defense lawyer, William W. Taylor 3rd. Lerner was scheduled to appear before the House Oversight committee Wednesday.

The dam protecting the IRS scandal began to crack today when Lois Lerner, the IRS official who announced, and apologized for, the improper singling out of conservative-leaning organizations by IRS employees under her command, announced through her criminal defense lawyer that she will not testify as scheduled tomorrow before the House Oversight Committee. Rather, she will assert her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. This marks an enormous milestone in the IRS investigation. It can now be taken as more or less established that crimes were committed by Obama administration employees. Lerner’s lawyer tried to minimize the significance

Former Democratic National committee chairman Howard Dean considers the controversy over Benghazi a “joke” and “silly.” “Benghazi is a laughable joke,” Dean proclaimed twice in a discussion with Republican National Committee communications chairman Sean Spicer last week. “With all due respect, governor, when four Americans die serving this country, that’s not a joke, sir,” Spicer responded. “Oh, stop it,” said Dean. The former Democratic presidential candidate also said that there were “no serious questions being asked about Benghazi” and brushed it off as an effort by Republicans to score political points.
