Discussing gun control, CNN´s Wolf Blitzer on Friday told a Utah sheriff that if Barack Obama issues an executive order, that order is the law and the sheriff must obey. However, jurisprudence on this topic reveals exactly the opposite. As the head of the executive branch of the federal government, a president can issue executive orders only to employees of the federal government—and only regarding implementing federal laws or programs. A governor can likewise issue executive orders to employees of his state government regarding the laws or programs of that state. Source corrected by Staff.

How often do we witness the ignorance of the media-- reflecting the ignorance of this president.
At least once or twice per newscast!

Wolf needs a fact-check enema. DOMA was *Federal* law. OBAMA IGNORED IT. The ´work´ component of welfare was Federal law. OBAMA IGNORED IT. We had an inconvenient rule for immigration (inconvenient in that it didn´t facilitate more free voters), which - you guessed it - was Federal law. OBAMA IGNORED IT.
So here´s a reality check for Wolf - given the non-stop violation of Federal laws the clown in chief has committed on a full time basis since taking office...
Do you *really* think anybody in America takes either you Wolf - or Obama - seriously in discussions related to ´adherence to law´?
Yeah, well...good luck with that. Most of us would like to see your pal in the White House hauled up on charges...

Many in the media are not ignorant. They´re liars, and they´re hoping their audience is ignorant.
Tell a lie often enough and it becomes truth.

Here´s the ugly truth:
The law is what is enforced, no more no less.
There is no law that says the law has to be enforced.

Blitzed, Executive Orders are only legal in Executive Agencies...and legally these Agencies cannot pass these Orders through their authority on to citizens of any type.
Anyone that thinks Executive Orders are law are totally wrong...sheeple will obviously not know the difference, to them Obie is King!

I would LOVE to see Obama put his mandate on guns to the test in any Western State where elected Sheriffs´ uphold the State law...we would see a modern version of the power of the man with a star and the start of an open revolt of States...

#6 nailed it on the head. Wolfee likely knew exactly what he was doing although there is evidence that he is one of the truly dumb ones, like Katie Couric. Wonder what she´ll be throwing up today? One of the great fakes of all time.

i am neutral on Mr Blitzer and don´t watch CNN; however, he and his equals are NOT journalists, they just read the teleprompter. Lucky they can even remember 1/10 of what they ´report´ every day. Note that the man USED TO BE a real reporter/journalist in his younger days.

I rarely watch the cable news sites only as I pass by them in public places. I´m always struck by how dumb these vehicles of propaganda are.

It´s "a cliché" to say that America "is the greatest country on Earth," Pres. Obama told a DNC event in New York City on Monday. "And more than anything, what I will be striving for over the next three and a half years is to see if that spirit that I saw in Boston and West, Texas, if we can institutionalize that, if we can create a framework where everybody is working together and moving this country forward. "Now, the good news is that if we do that, we´ve got the best cards of any country on Earth --

A high school student is fighting back after her senior photo was pulled from the school yearbook. The photo shows North Carolina senior Caitlin Tiller holding her now one-year old son. The school asked students to have their picture taken with something that best represents them or an achievement. Tiller chose her son because he represented her drive to stay in school. The school didn´t see it that way. Caitlin says she was told the picture promoted teen pregnancy. She sees it as a symbol of responsibility and love. "They should be proud that the students are willing to stay in school

A man whose bid to become a police officer was rejected after he scored too high on an intelligence test has lost an appeal in his federal lawsuit against the city. The 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New York upheld a lower court’s decision that the city did not discriminate against Robert Jordan because the same standards were applied to everyone who took the test. “This kind of puts an official face on discrimination in America against people of a certain class,” Jordan said today from his Waterford home. “I maintain you have no more control

Washington - The first draft was as mind-numbing as a tax form. Tuesday the Obama administration unveiled simplified application forms for health insurance benefits coming next year under the federal health care overhaul. The biggest change: a five-page short form that single people can fill out. That total includes a cover page with instructions, and an extra page to fill out if you want to designate someone to help you through the process. But the application form for families still runs to 12 pages, although most households will not have to fill out each and every page.

For many patients, getting a second medical opinion is a common and often recommended endeavor; it helps people to get the most accurate diagnosis possible. But for one couple, the decision to get a second opinion for their baby boy’s illness ultimately resulted in police forcibly removing the infant from their California home, RT.com reported. Anna and Alex Nikolayev, a young Russian couple living in Sacramento, took their 5-month-old son Sammy to Sutter Memorial Hospital in Sacramento when he started to exhibit flu-like symptoms. The Nikolayevs had been taking Sammy to Sutter Memorial since his birth, when had been diagnosed with a

The Nation of Islam styles him its “Supreme Captain” — a potential successor to his controversial father, Minister Louis Farrakhan. But when he’s working for the Harvey Police Department, Mustapha Farrakhan is just a regular part-time cop. If, that is, he’s actually working for the Harvey Police Department. Farrakhan, 52, certainly has a police badge from the crime-plagued south suburb. He drives an unmarked Harvey Police squad

Janet Rogers was a school board president with two felony convictions — and Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan wanted to run her out of office. Madigan’s prosecutors put Rogers in jail for theft and fraud in 2004.And Madigan’s office believed Rogers had no business being on a school board in 2013. Earlier this year, Madigan’s lawyers asked a judge to boot Rogers off the board of Harvey Public School District 152 because she was “unlawfully holding and executing the office of a board member.”

Conservative radio host Mark Levin is very skeptical of the idea that President Obama had absolutely no idea about the IRS tea party targeting before the story broke in the news mere weeks ago. Levin declared adamantly that it is a “flat-out, bald-faced lie” that Obama didn’t know beforehand, citing prior reports by a few conservative news outlets picking up on the news well before the 2012 presidential election. Levin said, “I don’t believe for two seconds that Obama wasn’t aware of this.”

President Obama on Thursday nominated Victoria Nuland, a State Department official involved in the editing of the administration´s talking points on Benghazi, to be the next assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs. Nuland, a career foreign service officer who was until recently State´s top spokesperson, had long been expected to be nominated the post to replace Philip Gordon, who Obama picked to serve as Middle East coordinator for the National Security Council. Nuland´s nomination -- which requires Senate confirmation -- could come under scrutiny from Republicans who see her as playing a central role in shaping

Anthony Weiner’s New York mayoral candidacy was only made more improbable today after he revealed that he visited a Houston psychiatric facility following his resignation from Congress in 2011. Haunted by scandal surrounding his sexually explicit online communications with women, the Democratic former congressman sought treatment for his compulsive behavior from mental health professionals at the Gabbard Center. According to its website, the facility provides “3-day outpatient psychiatric evaluation,” particularly to “professionals who are in personal or professional crises.” While Weiner did not disclose

On Wednesday, Drummer Lee Rigby of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, a man who had served Queen and country honorably in the hell of Helmand Province in Afghanistan, emerged from his barracks on Wellington Street, named after the Duke thereof, in southeast London. Minutes later, he was hacked to death in broad daylight and in full view of onlookers by two men with machetes who crowed "Allahu Akbar!" as they dumped his carcass in the middle of the street like so much roadkill. As grotesque as this act of savagery was, the aftermath was even more unsettling

Washington rumor has it that Obama wants to be U.N. Secretary General. There are several reasons that make that likely, and if it´s true, it throws new light on a lot of Obama´s oddities -- including his Royalty Bows, his Apology Tours, his Muslim Sellout, and the Benghazi Cover-Up. But first -- why would Obama be planning to become the chief of the U.N. before he has even finished his second term?

MARK LEVIN: So why didn´t Chairman Issa hold an investigative hearing a year ago? Why didn´t Chairman Camp, all Republicans, hold an investigative hearing a year ago, and all the other tripping over themselves right now? I´ll tell you why. Because the establishment Republicans, the RINO Republicans, despise the Tea Party. They despise the conservative movement. We exist to be managed, to be shuttled to the polling place, to vote for their candidates. The Karl Roves of the world, and all the rest of them. They fight us in the primaries, they fight us at the grassroots.

Fox News chief Roger Ailes has sent a memo to his subordinates at the leading cable news network. He sent this memo to his staff today in connection with the federal investigation into an alleged leak to Fox News reporter James Rosen, a story that the Washington Post’s Ann E. Marimow broke earlier this week. The memo’s a masterpiece, too. For all those who wonder what it is about Ailes that endears his people to him — and that makes him such a good interviewee for any media reporter lucky enough to get an audience
