| President Barack Obama’s decision to transform his campaign into the freestanding lobbying group “Organizing for Action” is groundbreaking in many ways — but the idea of creating an outside organization to put pressure on Capitol Hill dates back at least to Ronald Reagan. President Bill Clinton even tried to create one 20 years ago. In 1993, seeking to to marshal grassroots support for his health-care reform effort, his team’s first impulse was to set up a standalone entity that could anonymously raise and spend large sums of money on polling, petition drives, phone banks and TV commercials.

Anything else he does is simply pretense. He´s not remotely interested in ´representing the will of the people´ - just imposing his will with a made-up mandate.

Obama´s Free Stuff Army only gets out of bed for one thing...going to vote for more free stuff.
The idea that this low info mob is going to stay engaged is laughable, but I am all for them wasting $$$ and energy on the effort.

Politico is a DNC publication, so it lies for Obama. Organizing for America serves several purposes:
A. Keeps a sleazy but incredibly shrewd campaign org together, with high paying jobs for its seniors.
B. Avoids layoffs of campaign staff. In the Obama economy, good jobs for smarmy people won´t be available until 2014 congressional elections.
C. Keeps org intact if Obama declares that the first black president is not subject to the 22nd Amendment so that he can run for 3rd term. Does anyone think hat Sotormayor and Kagan would disagree? Just need 3 more SC judges.
D. Is there if the Mooch runs to "Keep Goin Forward"
E. Provides Obama with a shakedown operation identical to Jesse Jackson and the irreverent Al Sharpton. If you don´t want a regulation, give to OFA.

OFA was formed to destroy local conservative values. They are investigating all potential GOP stars in local races, blackmailing them & forcing them to abandon their political ambitions... 2 in the last week alone.
They will focus on city, county & state legislators. Inform & educate those around you... be strong & vigilant.

GREENBELT, Md.- NASA released a dramatic and revealing image of an erupting Alaskan volcano Thursday taken by astronauts aboard the International Space Station. The photograph is of the Pavlof Volcano, located in the Aleutian Arc about 625 miles southwest of Anchorage, the space agency said. The oblique perspective of the photo taken from the ISS when it was about 475 miles south-southeast of the volcano reveals the three dimensional structure of the ash plume, often obscured by the top-down view of most remote sensing satellites, NASA said.

CHICAGO -- The Obama administration has chosen a private attorney and former federal prosecutor who helped send former Illinois Gov. George Ryan to prison for corruption to head the U.S. attorney´s office in Chicago, Illinois´ senators announced Thursday. Zachary Fardon, 46, would replace Patrick Fitzgerald, who stepped down last summer to enter private practice. Fitzgerald rose to national prominence during more than a decade in the office and successfully convicted two Illinois governors, including Ryan. The U.S. Senate must confirm President Barack Obama´s nomination of Fardon. Fitzgerald issued a statement to The Associated Press calling Fardon "a terrific choice,"

GREENVILLE, California -- An earthquake in far northeastern California was felt by thousands of people as far away as San Francisco and in two other states, but there have been no reports of injury or serious damage. The magnitude-5.7 quake broke dishes and shook mirrors when it struck at 8:47 p.m. Thursday, officials said. It was centered near Greenville, about 25 miles southwest of Susanville in far northeastern California, said Rafael Abreu, a geophysicist with the U.S. Geological Survey´s National Earthquake Center in Golden, Colo. There have been several aftershocks, including a magnitude 4.9 that struck early Friday morning.

What´s so interesting about 60 tea partiers protesting the IRS in San Jose, California on Tuesday, May 21st? The fact that this bit of information was conveyed to the protesters by a Department of Homeland Security officer who was also in attendance. What was a DHS agent doing at the San Jose Tea Party protest? (snip) they weren´t just spying on us in San Jose and monitoring us in San Francisco, they were watching us throughout the entire state

On “Fox News Sunday” last weekend, White House aide Dan Pfeiffer was asked about President Barack Obama’s whereabouts the night of the Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi. This was the night when we lost our first ambassador in 30 years, and when three other Americans were killed in an attack that lasted all night long at multiple locations within the eastern Libyan city. Since the president is commander in chief, one would think where he was and what he did during such an event would be of obvious public concern.

Conservative radio host Mark Levin is very skeptical of the idea that President Obama had absolutely no idea about the IRS tea party targeting before the story broke in the news mere weeks ago. Levin declared adamantly that it is a “flat-out, bald-faced lie” that Obama didn’t know beforehand, citing prior reports by a few conservative news outlets picking up on the news well before the 2012 presidential election. Levin said, “I don’t believe for two seconds that Obama wasn’t aware of this.”
