| President Obama emerged from the White House this morning and after sniffing the air and pawing at the ground, he gave us the bad news: he definitely sees his shadow which means 4 more years of economic gloom and doom: Despite these “big” gains, unemployment climbed to 7.9% — higher than when Obama took office amid the “worst recession since the Great Depression.” That 7.9% is deceptively low: It fails to account for the exodus of 8.5 million from the labor force under Obama. Today´s Philadelphia Inquirer and the NY Times have similar stories on the Depression-like quality of the Obama economy, with both articles posted on Lucianne. Since these Obama worshipping papers have worked tirelessly in support of Obama, these two articles may be pointing to small shift of opinion. As Obama´s mad policies and diabolical regulations continue to destroy jobs and reduce middle class income for no measurable benefits, we may see more actual news stories about the consequences of Obamaism. While the stories will never directly fault Obama, readers will gradually understand the damage that is being done to people, specifically minorities, women and young people, and by extension, to state and municipal budgets.

Much has been written and said about the astoundingly tone deaf performance of White House spokesman Jay Carney during this past month of scandals. The former journalist has lost the confidence of the people who were once his colleagues due to his unwillingness to tell the truth about his own deceptive statements (never mind those he represents in front of the press) about the Benghazi talking points or even to acknowledge that he has changed his story. The same applies to the shifting story he has told about the Internal Revenue Service scandal

The 2012 election season was filled with angry cries of “voter suppression,” almost all of them regarding attempts by states to require voter ID and otherwise improve ballot integrity. One of two men allegedly being questioned in connection with the Boston Marathon bombings was shot and killed by an FBI agent in Florida on Tuesday, (Snip)A friend of Ibragim Todashev said he and Todashev were being investigated as part of the Boston bombings. He said Todashev, 27, knew bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev because both were MMA fighters. The man claims he and Todashev were interviewed by the FBI for nearly three hours on Tuesday. The friend said he left the interview, and when he came back to the apartment he found that there had been a shooting.

The fact that this bit of information was conveyed to the protesters by a Department of Homeland Security officer who was also in attendance. Eva Longoria is backing up her beauty with a whole lot of brain. The actress graduated with a master´s degree Wednesday. Longoria, 38, took home a real degree (not an honorary one) in Chicano studies from Cal State Northridge, where she physically attended classes for three years, according to TMZ. "Big day today!!! Very excited to graduate for my master´s degree in Chicano studies!
