The tumult at CNN that has seen several contributors leave the cable news network continued on Wednesday, when Soledad O´Brien´s morning show, “Starting Point,” was canceled because her program´s small audience was “too ethnic, based on the high concentration of minority viewers.” Despite ending O´Brien´s morning show, a CNN spokesman told Politico on Thursday that "Soledad is very important to the network, and we´re discussing various options with her.” Many staffers at the cable news network were stunned to learn that Vice President Bart Feder had often complained about the audience the morning line-up attracted

Hmmph, now what Houston do we do with a non-white, less-than-stellar-performer?

Priceless. I have always wondered just what she had to offer. And whether it was off-camera. No talent. Way left. Not very bright.

Now they bring on Andrew Cuomo. One of the most partisan and least telegenic or charismatic persons on the planet. Who wants to see and listen to him any time, least of all over breakfast?

She´s such a Heinz 57 mix the minorities just watched her trying to figure out if she was one of their own group and finally had to give up.

Not bad looking but not really good looking, either, and as dumb as they come. She´s an excellent example of why women are often criticized as being not up for the job and why home schooling could be very, very risky.

Soledad was hired to cry racism every single day. She did her job well. O was re-elected. The blacks and hispanics are safely on the plantation and now Soledad can go!

I remember reading a Parade article about her, a year or so ago.
And for a woman who appears to be white, she is nursing all kinds of racial grievances, going all the way back to third grade, when a classmate asked her why she didn´t have thick lips if she was black.
She still remains angry about that.

Soledad O´Brien, Sept. 4, 2008: "One are that has gotten certainly people sending to me a lot of e-mails is the question about as governor what she did with the special needs budget, which I´m sure you´re aware, she cut significantly, 62 percent I think is the number from when she came into office. As a woman who is now a mother to a special needs child, and I think she actually has a nephew which is autistic as well. How much of a problem is this going to be as she tries to navigate both sides of that issue?"

Palin signed legislation that tripled the budget for special needs children in March 2008.

Soledad O´Brien has been trading on her ethnicity and her Ivy League credentials (Harvard) since she entered broadcasting. She is both Hispanic and Black thereby checking off two boxes on the diversity form that CNN fills out. But she has a smarmy personality born out of her Northeast origins and her ultra liberal political orientation. Bluntly stated she tends to p--- people off. It´s her nature and personality. I doubt she would fit in anywhere except maybe at MSNBC where I would not be surprised to see her pitch up next.

Schools and police stations were burning in Stockholm as violent riots continued for a fifth consecutive night. Emergency services were called to 70 separate incidents, including two torched primary schools, burning shops and a destroyed library building also housing a local police unit. Despite police claiming that the situation is beginning to calm down, critics say the riots were unavoidable after years of widening social gaps in a country which has the highest proportion of foreign-born citizens in Scandinavia.

As Democrats and the media continue to hammer Virginia lieutenant governor hopeful E.W. The public got its first look Thursday at Lois Lerner, who has gone from faceless IRS bureaucrat to the face that launched what feels like 1,000 congressional hearings and conspiracy theories. But it was only a brief sighting since she didn´t stay long at a House hearing to further probe her role in how some IRS workers came to target conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status. (Snip)She did make a short statement to declare her innocence, however. Lerner´s motivation was more transparent than much of what the IRS has done in connection with this controversy. When you get right down to it, the political targeting and stalling of tax-exempt applications by the IRS was an effort to defund the Tea Party. Rick Santelli, one of the Tea Party founders and my CNBC colleague, was the first to make this point. I’ve taken it a step further: The IRS was taking the Tea Party out of play for the 2012 election, as it looked to avoid a repeat of 2010 and another Tea Party landslide. There are a lot of numbers out there.
