Hagel’s Credibility Left in Shreds
Commentary Magazine, by Jonathan S. Tobin

Original Article

It’s not clear if administration sources that leaked the story that Chuck Hagel had three practice sessions before a mock committee before his actual Senate confirmation hearing were trying to help or hurt the former senator. Hagel’s performance was so shaky that even some of his liberal supporters like Peter Beinart were lamenting on Twitter about his stumbling and bumbling answers to tough questions. That he flopped so badly after being rehearsed speaks volumes about how bad he was. Indeed, he had so many misstatements that it will be hard for news organizations to choose

The Bolshevik chose Hagel. Hagel faithfully represents the soul and policies of the worst president in the history of the United States of America.

Lots of Dem Senators in RED states up for re-election in 2014. They need to think long and hard about their vote on the SOD.

The Chuck "USA is the world´s bully" Hagel appointment says more about the goofball appointing him than it does about Hagel. Just like the Van Jones appointment, the Kagan appointment and all the rest. President Decline is very, very busy...

The Nebraska voters figured out that Hagel was a pretend Republican years ago and dumped him. They say that when he visited Nebraska he talked like a Republican, but while in Washington, DC, he was a Democrat.

Hagel represents everything wrong about D.C. He should have run as a Democrat when he was in the Senate because that is what he is. But he didn´t have the courage to do that so he pretended to Nebraska that he was GOP. Hagel is nothing but a fascist who likes to bash Bush, the GOP, and Israel and is beloved by Iran and al-Jazeera and Obama. Vote NO on Hagel.

Hagel never had any credibility to begin with so there was nothing to shred. He shredded himself in the past and the hearing confirmed what everyone knew.

So we would be OK with a competent liar? Like with the Sec of State (Clinton or Kerry - your pick)?

He is not only misguided, an apologist for America, a vicious critic of Israel, detests the Jews in Nebraska...

but also just one of the stupidest members of the Congress,

with positions woefully out of the mainstream, with no executive experience to lead an organization of over 1 million employees..

the only qualification he has for SecDef is that he shares many of the POTUS beliefs about emasculating US foreign policy

what IS the difference between hagel and kerry? Here in ma, kerry made it clear that our evil ways came home to roose on 9/11 and has attacked the USA since his first appearance testifying on the hill. Hagel is another enemy of the USA. And it is obvious that the people in congress share these men´s attitude towards the USA, along with our present potus. So, if the people of the USA are happy with high unemployment, high debt, losing their homes, having our people slaughtered in far away places and doing nothing about it....doesn´t it follow that these two creatures are just right for the jobs they have been nominated for?

Obama´s approach to selecting members of his administration is often seen in the business world: the boss who is so insecure he only hires unimpressive underlings so that no one can outshine him. It´s a recipe for disaster when ´the boss´ is as highly incompetent and inexperienced as Obama is. He really has to scrape bottom to find people with even less ability.

Is Hagel getting grilled becuase he is no longer in the good ol boys club while Kerry oozes on through?

As for Hagel´s experience in Vietnam and his opinion of the Iraq War, if I could have been a senator yesterday, I would have asked him: So did you support the
reason were in Vietnam but not the lack of political will and do yo believe the same about Iraq? And just when and under what conditions would you send troops into harm´s way?

It´s a coin flip whether Chuck Hagel is John Kerry lite or the reverse. Either way they are both Obama sycophants who are right at home in the D.C. animal house, one in the r(h)ino pen and the other in with the asses and donkeys.

In my worst nightmares I never dreamed of this country disintegrating like it has in the past ten years. I pray we haven´t reached the point where the only way to eliminate the parasites is for the host to die.

If we survive long enough for history to be written, obama will be remembered as the scoundrel who reversed most of the civil rights from Lincoln to the present day and betrayed all the people he fraudulently adopted (the only thing black about obama is his heart) for his own nefarious reasons. He should be tried and convicted of treason and dealt with accordingly!

This fool has a right to be part of a cabinet of fools put together by the Marxist cadre at the heart of the Beast- the aim of which is to destroy our country.

It is fitting that Obama selects such dim bulbs to do his dirty work.

Here´s my personal theory on RINOs. By nature, politicians have huge egos. Republicans elected to congress quickly discover that the best (only) way to get face time on the evening news and talking head shows is to buck their own party. There´s nothing more beloved by the media than a Republican turncoat. So it´s not so much that a RINO is a closet liberal as it is he will say and do anything to feed his massive ego.

Obama and Hagel on NBC Nightly News

BRIAN WILLIAMS: Tonight I interview Secretary of Defense nominee Chuck Hagel and President Obama.

[turns to monitor]

Uh, you’re smoking, Mr. President? Didn’t you quit?
OBAMA: Backslid after watching Hagel yesterday, Stevo. And it´s grass not a cigarette--special blend called ´´mariguana´´ because it’s grown in female bat dung. I told you it was a ´´joint´´ interview. ? Fly me to the moon . . . .?
HAGEL: That’s the weed talking, Brian. I’ll kick his butt when he gets unfocused.
WILLIAMS: Why do this interview, sir?
OBAMA: People feel better about me when I appear next to dunderheads, Brian. And I wanted to thank Chuck publicly for distracting everyone from today’s miserable economic numbers.
HAGEL: Glad to help, sir.
WILLIAMS: Why did you choose Chuck Hagel for Secretary of Defense, sir?
OBAMA: Reid wanted a doormat in the post; promised that if I picked Hagel, the Senate wouldn’t submit a budget for another four years.
WILLIAMS: Senator, why did you accept the offer?
HAGEL: I’ve been playing ‘’Call of Duty” on Xbox since it first came out, Brian. It’s time to get real.
WILLIAMS: Sir, if Senator Hagel is confirmed, will you send him to Russia to talk disarmament?
OBAMA: Absolutely. Can you think of anyone better than Chuck to give away the store?
HAGEL: I can work with Putin, Brian. As Reagan said, ‘’Trust, don’t vilify.’’

I think 52 hit the nail on the head. If you´ve ever been around drunks they don´t look so good sober and they frequently are incoherent. Hagel had those characteristics in his presentation. Only his family and close friends will know if he has a drinking problem but he sure looked like it to me.

The only hope for stopping Hagel lies with the 55 Democrat Senators.
They have enough votes to confirm him
while still allowing four Red State Senators a No vote
for cover .
Manchin was so effusive in his praise that he actually expressed his longing desire to serve
in a foxhole with Hagel.
It is jaw dropping that the Commander in Chief
posed for a woman´s fashion magazine on the day his nominee
for Secretary of Defense behaved like an anti American , Anti-Semitic Alzheimer´s patient
during his confirmation hearings.
It is an insult and outrage to the military
and the families of the 1811 Americans who have died
in combat
the past four years in Iraq and Afghanistan -
to consider Hagel a fit candidate for SecDef.
Only the 45 Senate Republicans recognize this .

Social Security stops trying
to collect on old debts by
seizing tax refunds
Washington Post, by Marc Fisher    Original Article

The Social Security Administration announced Monday that it will immediately cease efforts to collect on taxpayers’ debts to the government that are more than 10 years old. The action comes after The Washington Post reported that the government was seizing state and federal tax refunds that were on their way to about 400,000 Americans who had relatives who owed money to Social Security. In many cases, the people whose refunds were intercepted had never heard of any debt, and the debts dated as far back as the middle of the past century. “I have directed an immediate halt to further

Despite promises to the contrary, it appears that State Senator Wendy Davis (D-Fort Worth) voted on bills that affect her clients and favorably impact the bottom line of her law firm. “I have never done anything in a way that represents a conflict in my voting and something that would benefit me personally,” she said in an interview, but state records seem to tell a different story. The Dallas Morning News´ Senior Political Writer Wayne Slater (DMN) reported that Davis supported legislation governing a toll road project. That would be all well and good except for the fact that the

Democrats Lose Two More Special

Democrats have had a recurring problem in special elections this year: Their voters aren’t turning out. If a weak economy and continued Obamacare problems persist, the November elections could be a disaster for Democrats. Last week, Democrats lost two special elections they weren’t planning to. Arlington, Va., is a classic wealthy ObamaTown, filled with government workers and limousine liberals. Mitt Romney won only 29 percent of the vote in 2012. But last Tuesday, Democrats lost their first election for the five-member Arlington County Board in 15 years when John Vihstadt, a Republican running as an independent, won a vacancy on

Nevada ranch standoff could leave

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said little as federal agents seized and then released cattle last week from the Bundy ranch, but there is little doubt that the highly charged episode was threatening to become a political headache for the Nevada Democrat. The Bureau of Land Management is headed by former longtime Reid aide Neil Kornze, who was confirmed by the Senate as BLM director on Tuesday, just as federal authorities descended on the cattle ranch outside Mesquite, Nev. Mr. Kornze issued a statement Saturday saying that the bureau would return the cattle and withdraw its agents from the ranch

Democrats settle on fairness
issues hoping to avoid a repeat

On the defensive about their prospects in the midterm elections this fall, congressional Democrats have spent all of April savaging the Republican budget proposal, decrying the Koch brothers and championing a series of bills meant to ingratiate themselves to struggling middle-class voters. In promoting legislation that would extend unemployment benefits, increase the minimum wage and promote equal pay for women, the Democrats have declared themselves the party that will ensure a “fair shot” for all. Republicans, they insist, are the party of special interests. It has been a classic Washington messaging campaign for these partisan

For Hillary Clinton and Boeing,

On a trip to Moscow early in her tenure as secretary of state, Hillary Rodham Clinton played the role of international saleswoman, pressing Russian government officials to sign a multibillion-dollar deal to buy dozens of aircraft from Boeing. A month later, Clinton was in China, where she jubilantly announced that the aerospace giant would be writing a generous check to help resuscitate floundering U.S. efforts to host a pavilion at the upcoming World’s Fair. Boeing, she said, “has just agreed to double its contribution to $2 million.” Clinton did not point out that, to secure the donation, the State Department

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — Three people were shot and killed Sunday afternoon in suburban Kansas City, and a spokeswoman for a local hospital said a 15-year-old boy is in critical condition. Overland Park city spokesman Sean Reilly says two people died at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City campus and one was killed at Village Shalom, which is a retirement community that is several blocks away from the center. Overland Park Fire Department spokesman Jason Rhodes said Sunday afternoon that one person of interest is in custody. The Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City in Overland Park

Like him or hate him, there is no disputing that Rush Limbaugh’s very special brand of mixing right-wing politics with his flare for entertainment has produced one of the most successful radio programs in the medium’s long history. Whatever the burning political question of the day, millions of Americans have relished the opportunity to tune into Rush’s program, knowing that he would quickly take that hot potato, throw a few gallons of verbal kerosene into the mix and elevate the matter into a five alarm fire with a just a few well-chosen words spoken in the style only Rush Limbaugh could

When it comes to tracking the cost of Obama family vacations, there are two primary challenges. First, the Obamas are prolific jet-setters, so there are many details to track. Second, the Obama administration, clearly embarrassed by these lavish and frequent family vacations, stonewalls the release of records at every turn. But we have been relentless in pursuit of this information. Our attorneys file the lawsuits and make our case, and our investigators pour through pages of records and crunch the numbers. And the information we’ve uncovered – information that would otherwise remain under lock and key – shows that the

I live in Las Vegas. I live and breath Nevada politics. Something is very wrong. Something smells rotten in the Nevada desert. And Senator Harry Reid’s fingerprints are all over it. I am of course referring to the Bundy Ranch siege. This was a dispute between a Nevada ranching family with rights to the land in question for 140 years and the BLM (Bureayu of Land Management). The government claims they haven’t paid grazing fees for 20 years. The result was a government assault on the ranch- including snipers with assault rifles, SUV’s, helicopters, airplanes and over 200 heavily armed troops. No

Look, everyone loves Sean Connery, particularly Sean Connery. That’s why he plays Sean Connery in every movie he’s in. People love that Scottish brogue so much, they don’t mind that he has it when he plays Juan Sánchez Villa-Lobos Ramírez, an immortal Spaniard in Highlander. The guy even won an Oscar for playing an Irish cop with a Scottish accent. Talk about sexist double standards: Meryl Streep has to master foreign dialects to get her golden statuettes. Connery just has to show up on time. In economics you devalue a currency by printing too much of it. In film you

Democratic Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren wrote in her forthcoming book that she was “hurt” and “angry” by 2012 reporting on her fraudulent claim to Native American heritage. “What really threw me, though, were the constant attacks from the other side,” Warren wrote in her book “A Fighting Chance.” “I would almost persuade myself that I was starting to get the hang of full-throttle campaigning and then — bam! Out of left field, the state Republican Party, or the Brown campaign, or some blogger, would launch a rocket at me,” Warren wrote, adding, ”I was stunned by the attacks.” This reporter (blogger?) reported extensively

WASHINGTON — Former President Jimmy Carter joined fellow Nobel laureates Wednesday in opposing Keystone XL, insisting that approving the pipeline would trigger “more climate upheaval” around the globe. In an open letter to President Barack Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry, Carter and the nine other Nobel Peace Prize winners bluntly warned the leaders: “Your decision on the Keystone XL tar sands pipeline will define your climate legacy.” The missive, published as an advertisement in Politico, represents the first time Carter has taken a position on the $5.4 billion project and makes him the first former president to come

About six in ten American voters think Barack Obama lies to the country on important matters some or most of the time, according to a Fox News poll released Wednesday. Thirty-seven percent think Obama lies “most of the time,” while another 24 percent say he lies “some of the time.” Twenty percent of voters say “only now and then” and 15 percent “never.” Click here for the poll results. President Obama has been accused by political opponents and media fact-checkers alike of telling falsehoods.
