| The Obama administration´s push for higher auto fuel efficiency standards was as important a scientific step as the discovery that nicotine is addictive and that cigarettes cause cancer, a top administration official said. In an interview with the Tulane University student newspaper published Thursday, outgoing Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lisa Jackson, a Tulane alumna, said that her agency´s 2009 "endangerment finding," which directly led to the implementation of the auto standards to fight greenhouse gas emissions, is her proudest achievement and represented a major step forward for public health. If if was so critical to our country, why didn´t this despotic woman present the issue to our elected representatives for debate and vote? This wasn´t a national security issue, with the Soviets or Chinese prepared to steal such a non-scientific belief.
Instead, Jackson, AKA Richard Windsor, and the rabid socialist and Obama czar, Carol Browner, passed this oh-so-crucial measure in secret. With auto industry executives sworn to keep this destructive agreement secret. The US auto industry and consumers will pay a long-term price for Jackson´s deceptive, delusional and from all indications, unlawful actions.

I am not a scientist and I don´t smoke, but I beg to differ. Tobacco farmers that pick the tobacco leaves have nicotine rolled up like tar on their hands and they don´t all have cancer. It is the additives they add to tobacco and the filters that are carcinogenic.
While Zippy is intent on putting every farmer out of business, keep in mind that tobacco is a big export.
If tobacco is bad, why isn´t huffing on pot bad for you ?

It´s the process he´s referring to... Tobacco demonization was so successful, they are applying it to oil, cars, soda, sugar, food, fishing, hunting, guns, the constitution & anything else that floats their boat.

What was important were the incriminating communications that allowed everyone to pile on and sue. It hasn´t changed the number of people smoking dramatically, therefore it hasn´t saved many lives.
