| The amount of money being sent by migrants to their families back home topped £335billion last year, making it a larger economy than Iran or Argentina, it was revealed today. The figure has tripled in the last ten years and is now three times bigger than the total aid budgets given by countries around the world as more people than ever choose to live abroad.(Snip)Globally, there are more than 214million migrants, which would make it the fifth most-populated country behind China, India, America and Indonesia. Why not? Lavish cash benefits on "citizen" children of illegal aliens, help redistribute our evil wealth to the good people in the rest of the world. I find my yoke quite comfortable; will just have to adjust with less food, lower usage of utilities and gasoline, and the like, so as to accommodate.

I would believe it. A lot of the immigrants (legal and not) work long hours and then go stand in line to purchase money orders and send money home. They live in modest housing -- often several of them, sometimes taking shifts to sleep and spend little money. Lots of them are sacrificing for the family at home. And then the spoiled apples ruin it; we have problems with the single men (really single, or the ones who left the family back home) who have several living in a small apartment. The problems start with a lot of old cars parked in the street (and hogging too many spaces) and continue through drinking too much, fights, etc.

That´s only the UK. Everywhere you go here they are using Western Union. I think Western Union should have to stop wiring cash to other countries if they collect welfare here.

This is why Ca. is royally screwed...
Working Latino´s send the majority of their pay back home... and many prefer not to make $$ on the books.
I filed CH 7 & sat thru about 15 hearings before mine. Most where Latino families... where social services got them a free house & they never made payments... then they file Ch 7 & the next family member does the same thing... free house, no payments... on and on and on. The scam is taught to new immigrants by La Raza & other social service groups.
They´re nice people but the culture teaches them to live here for free & send earnings back home.
