| The political world is still buzzing over the way Rush Limbaugh seemed to swoon over Marco Rubio yesterday in spite of the fact that he entered the conversation with the Florida senator disagreeing strongly with his position on immigration reform. Rubio has been on a tour of conservative talk radio shows in the last week as he attempts to sell the conservative base, with the stop at Limbaugh’s show the most important. I wonder if Tobin actually listened to the conversation between Rubio & Limbaugh. There was no ´swooning´ that I heard. Rush was polite, frank, and patiently listened while Rubio made his case. Personally, I think Rush has a new respect for Rubio, and seemed impressed that Rubio has actually ´lived the life´ of an immigrant and seems to know what he´s talking about on the subject.
But, overall, Rush struck me as being very wary of this proposal, especially the border enforcement part. There was no ´love´ in the air between the two of them. Polite? yes. Respectful? yes. Love? no. Rush may be thinking along the lines as many of us are, that this is the new reality. There are 12Million illegals in this country, and they aren´t going anywhere. So we either continue to lose the battle, or attempt to take control of some parts of it which is what I think Rubio hopes to do.

Reply 2, I heard that interview. There was no swooning. Rush likes Rubio, so do I. Rush was not persuaded that Rubio is right about his plan. Neither am I.
What is expected of Rush when he invites a Senator on his program. Should he attack the Senator or whould he be friendly and polite?

Rush was merely observing Reagan´s 11th commandment....don´t crap on your guy.
Dems have that tattooed on the inside of their eyelids so THEY never forget, it´s about time the Pubbies learned it.
Oh, we would have preferred that Rush give the Left some ammo to hurl at us??

Amnesty - hardly. To get and maintiain a Green card for 5yrs: stay crime-free, cannot apply for government assistance, pay back-taxes and penalties - then, after 5yrs, go to the back of the line, if citizenship is desired. Most of these people don´t want citizenship...just a job...something Mexico can´t provide.
Read the plan...its a good one.
Rubio is doing what real leaders do. Lead - and take the arrows.

When my great grandfather came here the only words he could say in English were ´´apple pie ´´. Oddly enough I don´t speak German and neither does my father, his grandson. We all work. We all love our country. Until Carter most in the family voted Democrat. Now there´s not a liberal in the bunch (other than an eccentric uncle who married into the family) that I know of.
It will all be OK. Have a little faith.

#6, we need murder reform. No-one observes that law either so let´s say if you have escaped prosecution for the last 5 years, and go for 5 years murder free, we will grant you immunity!!
Just because a law is ignored by a population does not mean that law needs revision. It needs ENFORCEMENT.

WASHINGTON - There were new questions Saturday night concerning if anyone in the White House was aware of the IRS´ targeting of conservative groups. Inspector General Russell George said he informed a deputy at the Treasury Department in June of 2012 about the probe into the IRS. The Treasury Department confirmed the timeline but said they did not know the details of the investigation until last week.(Snip)Marcus Owens ran the tax-exempt division at the IRS for 10 years. He said it isn´t difficult to figure out who´s doing what at the agency.

The Washington Post on Monday reported that Obama’s Department of Justice was investigating journalists before they started wiretapping the Associated Press – for one, Fox News correspondent James Rosen in 2010. Their headline wasn´t "Obama Team Also Spied on Fox News." Fox wasn´t in the headline, on A-1 or on A-12, where the story continued. WASHINGTON – The Internal Revenue Serviced scandal today spread further within the White House and closer to President Obama. White House spokesman Jay Carney today disclosed that Obama’s chief of staff, Dennis McDonough, and other top White House officials had advance warning that the IRS was targeting conservative groups. But he insisted McDonough and the other White House officials purposely kept Obama out of the loop.McDonough “rightly chose not to take action” to inform Obama, Carney told reporters at the daily White House briefing.
