Some families to be priced
out of health overhaul

WASHINGTON— Some families could get priced out of health insurance due to what´s being called a glitch in President Barack Obama´s overhaul law. IRS regulations issued Wednesday failed to fix the problem as liberal backers of the president´s plan had hoped. As a result, some families that can´t afford the employer coverage that they are offered on the job will not be able to get financial assistance from the government to buy private health insurance on their own. How many people will be affected is unclear. The Obama administration says its hands were tied by the way Congress

Easy to fix all these problems with a single payer system. The plan all time

Can´t Obama just order insurance companies to give them free coverage?

Or is that one of things he can´t do because he is not King.

Should the poor suffer because O is not King?

So if the enforcement to mandate everyone to buy health insurance is done thru the tax code and...49% of people don´t pay taxes...how is that going to work?

Mistake???? Ohhhh no. This was no mistake. This is quite deliberate. The progressive movement has always hated the working poor. Always. They were the undesirables that abortion was to have gotten rid of. Now that President Obama has no need for voters, they can be disposed of. They will be forced into a rationed care system that will refuse to care for any lifestyle related illnesses (smoking, obesity, drinking) and left to die. This will weed out the "untermensch" and control the population in line with Agenda 21 goals. Leaving only the educated and elite. With fully automated farming and manufacturing no need for the "little people" who just consume and reproduce.

Already happening. Church acquaintance has a teenage special needs child who has required tube feeding with prescriptive formula since forever. In Nov Mom was told by pharmacy that kid´s food was no longer covered with Obamacare changes. Now they have to buy Ensure type products to sustain which give many complications to digestion, let alone the cost. Mom & Dad feel this is the first track in the cattle chute to the death panel. Please pray for them & how many thousands of others facing these determinations by the Fatherland.

FTA: "The Obama administration says its hands were tied by the way Congress wrote the law."

Is this a joke? I distinctly remember over one-half of Congress (the Republicans) begging for time to read the ACA so everyone would know what was in it before the vote. I recall Nancy Pelosi´s infamous statement, "We have to pass the bill so we can find out what´s in it."

It would be interesting to learn exactly who, and/or what organization(s), is responsible for this mess. Until then, I can only say, "Thanks for nothing, John Roberts."

The people who wrote this article need to do a little bit more research, as it was not a bipartisan Congress that passed Obama Care, it was the Democrats in Congress who passed that law, as not one Republican voted for the law. When Obama blames the Congress for the many deficiencies in Obama Care, he should be directing his complaints to the Democrats in Congress as they are the people who passed the law.

Propaganda Alert... ObieCare only passed by bending the rules so only dems could pass it. No matter how hard they lie, peeps know the truth. Medicare drug co-pays are increased to +300% of 2012 cost, depending on the drug. We are already suffering.

Boo hoo. Those workers who can´t pay for business plans will just refuse it and go on the state exchanges and walla, they get free taxpayer money.

Reply 12 - Posted by: Spidey, 1/31/2013 5:51:31 AM     (No. 9149803)

There´s no glitch in this law. What we´re seeing is an intentional effort to corner a relative handful of middle class whites paying the price for having the gumption to be self sufficient. What this says is there´s no escape hatch for the people Obama targeted to begin with.

It´s an absolute mathematical impossibility for the shrinking workforce to finance the exorbitant cost of this plan which will add 50 million more people to an already broke medicaid system, many of whom don´t even belong here. Just take the costs of one illegal mexican get kidney dialysis treatments for months on end.

It depends on what the definition of "Affordable Care Act" is.

Reply 16 - Posted by: stablemoney, 1/31/2013 9:10:02 AM     (No. 9150167)

People that pay for their health care are going to be priced out and will not be able to afford a doctor´s visit. Only those that get their visits free will be at the doctor´s office. The payors will have to get back rather than pay the $500 for themselves and the 5 free ones in front they will have to wait on. A neighbor calls an ambulance all the time -- $2500 a call and free, but not for me.

Schools and police stations were burning in Stockholm as violent riots continued for a fifth consecutive night. Emergency services were called to 70 separate incidents, including two torched primary schools, burning shops and a destroyed library building also housing a local police unit. Despite police claiming that the situation is beginning to calm down, critics say the riots were unavoidable after years of widening social gaps in a country which has the highest proportion of foreign-born citizens in Scandinavia.

The Democratic National Committee is accusing the GOP of "making up so-called ´scandals´ out of thin air." In an email to supporters, DNC Spokesman Brad Woodhouse writes that Republicans´ accusations of scandal aren´t legitimate — a claim that´s sure to draw howls from the right."Getting in President Obama´s way has been the top priority for Republicans in Congress since day one. But now they´ve gone too far. They´ve been caught red-handed making up so-called ´scandals´ out of thin air to stir up false rumors of vast ´cover-ups´ happening in the White House," Woodhouse writes. As Democrats and the media continue to hammer Virginia lieutenant governor hopeful E.W. Jackson for his past comments on social issues, the Christian minister says he is battling what he calls the “mainstream media’s caricature” of him. In an email sent to The Daily Caller this week, the running mate to Republican gubernatorial candidate Ken Cuccinelli said “every one of those comments has a context and were spoken in my role as a minister, not as a candidate.” In particular, the black Republican took issue with the media’s outrage over his comments on abortion.

The public got its first look Thursday at Lois Lerner, who has gone from faceless IRS bureaucrat to the face that launched what feels like 1,000 congressional hearings and conspiracy theories. But it was only a brief sighting since she didn´t stay long at a House hearing to further probe her role in how some IRS workers came to target conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status. (Snip)She did make a short statement to declare her innocence, however. Lerner´s motivation was more transparent than much of what the IRS has done in connection with this controversy. When you get right down to it, the political targeting and stalling of tax-exempt applications by the IRS was an effort to defund the Tea Party. Rick Santelli, one of the Tea Party founders and my CNBC colleague, was the first to make this point. I’ve taken it a step further: The IRS was taking the Tea Party out of play for the 2012 election, as it looked to avoid a repeat of 2010 and another Tea Party landslide. There are a lot of numbers out there.

President Obama on Thursday nominated Victoria Nuland, a State Department official involved in the editing of the administration´s talking points on Benghazi, to be the next assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs. Nuland, a career foreign service officer who was until recently State´s top spokesperson, had long been expected to be nominated the post to replace Philip Gordon, who Obama picked to serve as Middle East coordinator for the National Security Council. Nuland´s nomination -- which requires Senate confirmation -- could come under scrutiny from Republicans who see her as playing a central role in shaping

Conservative radio host Mark Levin is very skeptical of the idea that President Obama had absolutely no idea about the IRS tea party targeting before the story broke in the news mere weeks ago. Levin declared adamantly that it is a “flat-out, bald-faced lie” that Obama didn’t know beforehand, citing prior reports by a few conservative news outlets picking up on the news well before the 2012 presidential election. Levin said, “I don’t believe for two seconds that Obama wasn’t aware of this.”

Anthony Weiner’s New York mayoral candidacy was only made more improbable today after he revealed that he visited a Houston psychiatric facility following his resignation from Congress in 2011. Haunted by scandal surrounding his sexually explicit online communications with women, the Democratic former congressman sought treatment for his compulsive behavior from mental health professionals at the Gabbard Center. According to its website, the facility provides “3-day outpatient psychiatric evaluation,” particularly to “professionals who are in personal or professional crises.” While Weiner did not disclose
