WASHINGTON - U.S. corporations fear they will be the main course on a menu calling for hundreds of billions of dollars in new tax revenue that President Barack Obama is expected to seek in his annual budget proposal, expected within weeks. Fresh off a political win that raised tax rates on the affluent and averted the so-called "fiscal cliff," Obama is not likely to back away from past proposals he has sought to close tax loopholes and raise taxes on many big companies, said former advisers to the president. Indeed, some lobbyists who represent Corporate America said they fear Obama

Comments:
The economy is already contracting. Imagine when he grabs even more money out of the private sector.

Many large corporations who supported Obama
can go to hell.

They supported the pig in the White House.

Now, let them both rot in a hell that they created

Zero´s budget proposal? Like the previous one which was shot down 99-0 in the Senate?

The grifter is a sad joke.

Approx $30 more in taxes were taken out of my check. I get paid every 2 weeks. 26 x 30 + 1,200+ more in gas cost plus price of everything else going up and up.

The democrats call me greedy.

The smart ones with the ability to relocate will get the "H-LL out of Dodge". Last I looked, Canada and Mexico are right next door to the U.S. Corporations relocating to our
neighbors North and south will also cause EMIGRATION from the U>S> to Countries where the jobs are. Forget this State to State stuff, just move to another Country. I am sure that our neighbors would love the new employment opportunities. I would sure like to see economic conditions improve in the U.S. but it will never happen under the current Administration policies. No nuclear plants. New coal fired utility plant canceled and 3000 jobs dead in the water. Keystone pipeline derailed for who knows how long.
Plants that move to right-to-work states attacked by Government lawyers. Canada shipping commodities to their West Coast ports for Asian consumption. LNG plants waiting for Govt approval. the list is endless.

They have to raise prices (inflation) to cover any increases or repatriate the business where they can compete on price.

It is so hard to feel sorry for these big CEOs who all sold their soul to be photographed with this fraud and be "cool." Enjoy.

Those big companies who supported Obama have already avoided the last tax increase by shelling out dividends early. They did it even if they had to borrow money.

Now those big companies who supported Obama will move their companies overseas and avoid any new tax hikes. You can bet on it. Demonrats like taxes only if it affects someone else and not them.

KABUL, Afghanistan -- Taliban gunmen launched a coordinated attack on an international aid group’s guesthouse in an upscale Kabul neighborhood Friday, setting off a furious firefight that lasted several hours and renewing fears of the insurgents’ ability to strike virtually at will in the heart of the capital. The late-afternoon attack took place in Kabul’s Shar-e-Naw district, home to numerous heavily fortified compounds housing international aid groups and Afghan governmental and security entities. The assault began with a powerful car bomb detonated at the gates of the guesthouse used by workers for the International Organization for Migration

Fired for word ´negro´:
Bronx teacher claims
misunderstanding, not racial slur

A Bronx teacher fired after a student complained about her use of a racial slur says the whole thing is just a ridiculous case of meaning lost -- literally -- in translation. Petrona Smith, 65, was a non-tenured teacher at the bilingual school PS 211 until March 2012, when she was fired after a student complained of being called "negro" and "a failure." But Smith, who is black and a native of the West Indies, said the student misunderstood her meaning: she was using the word "negro," the word for the color black in Spanish

The murder of a soldier in south London on Wednesday has prompted fears of a backlash against British Muslims after the English Defence League staged an impromptu rally in the capital and two mosques were attacked. The BNP leader, Nick Griffin, has also reacted to the killing with provocative tweets calling for a protest in Woolwich and claiming the crime is the result of "mass immigration". Farooq Murad of the Muslim Council of Britain said the EDL´s rally in London on Wednesday night was cause for concern. "When attacks like these happen there´s always the danger of far-right extremism

MOUNT VERNON, Wash. - The Interstate 5 bridge collapse into the Skagit River was caused by an oversize truck hitting the span, the Washington State Patrol chief said. The truck made it off the bridge and the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Two other vehicles went into the water Thursday evening as the structure crumbled. Three people were rescued and are recovering. Drivers should expect delays

WASHINGTON — When President Barack Obama pushed his health care overhaul plan through Congress, he counted labor unions among his strongest supporters. But some unions leaders have grown frustrated and angry about what they say are unexpected consequences of the new law — problems that they say could jeopardize the health benefits offered to millions of their members. The issue could create a political headache next year for Democrats facing re-election if disgruntled union members believe the Obama administration and Congress aren´t working to fix the problem.

Conservative radio host Mark Levin is very skeptical of the idea that President Obama had absolutely no idea about the IRS tea party targeting before the story broke in the news mere weeks ago. Levin declared adamantly that it is a “flat-out, bald-faced lie” that Obama didn’t know beforehand, citing prior reports by a few conservative news outlets picking up on the news well before the 2012 presidential election. Levin said, “I don’t believe for two seconds that Obama wasn’t aware of this.”

President Obama on Thursday nominated Victoria Nuland, a State Department official involved in the editing of the administration´s talking points on Benghazi, to be the next assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs. Nuland, a career foreign service officer who was until recently State´s top spokesperson, had long been expected to be nominated the post to replace Philip Gordon, who Obama picked to serve as Middle East coordinator for the National Security Council. Nuland´s nomination -- which requires Senate confirmation -- could come under scrutiny from Republicans who see her as playing a central role in shaping

Anthony Weiner’s New York mayoral candidacy was only made more improbable today after he revealed that he visited a Houston psychiatric facility following his resignation from Congress in 2011. Haunted by scandal surrounding his sexually explicit online communications with women, the Democratic former congressman sought treatment for his compulsive behavior from mental health professionals at the Gabbard Center. According to its website, the facility provides “3-day outpatient psychiatric evaluation,” particularly to “professionals who are in personal or professional crises.” While Weiner did not disclose

MARK LEVIN: So why didn´t Chairman Issa hold an investigative hearing a year ago? Why didn´t Chairman Camp, all Republicans, hold an investigative hearing a year ago, and all the other tripping over themselves right now? I´ll tell you why. Because the establishment Republicans, the RINO Republicans, despise the Tea Party. They despise the conservative movement. We exist to be managed, to be shuttled to the polling place, to vote for their candidates. The Karl Roves of the world, and all the rest of them. They fight us in the primaries, they fight us at the grassroots.

Fox News chief Roger Ailes has sent a memo to his subordinates at the leading cable news network. He sent this memo to his staff today in connection with the federal investigation into an alleged leak to Fox News reporter James Rosen, a story that the Washington Post’s Ann E. Marimow broke earlier this week. The memo’s a masterpiece, too. For all those who wonder what it is about Ailes that endears his people to him — and that makes him such a good interviewee for any media reporter lucky enough to get an audience

WASHINGTON —In a dramatic departure from existing White House procedures, President Obama requested today that his staff start cc’ing him on stuff. “Look, I know a lot of you think I’m really busy and you don’t want to bother me,” the President reportedly told his staff in an Oval Office meeting. “But cc me anyway. It’s good for me to keep up on what’s going on around here.” “It’s not good when I turn on the news and they’re talking about something at the White House and I’m like, whoa, when did that happen?”
