| A New York college has released the illuminating findings of a survey of the folks who occupied Wall Street in 2011. It turns out that the movement of the 99 percent contained a lot of people with links to the 1 percent.[Snip]Crunching the numbers, we discover that 62 percent of the Occupy movement were non-Hispanic whites and 55 percent were men. One third lived in homes earning more than $100,000 a year (that can buy a lot of copies of Das Kapital) and more than two thirds were employed professionals. An astonishing 76 percent had a college education. Of that

No surprise to me. If these people were 99 percenters, it was because most of them had trust funds that they couldn´t access yet.

Now that the employers know who was there from all the media, think that degree is pretty much useless. We all have regrets in our lives, hope they realize theirs.

Let me tell you about the very rich. They are different from you and me. They possess and enjoy early, and it does something to them, makes them soft, where we are hard, cynical where we are trustful, in a way that, unless you were born rich, it is very difficult to understand. --F. Scott Fitzgerald
The very rich also have the time and money to be fashionable and it is very fashionable to be a pretend revolutionary.

I could have told you they were rich, spoiled brats at the time. Except in my city, where a couple 1%-ers got the tents put up and ran back out of town when the homeless moved in. I used to drive by them on the way to work every day before I lost my job. A pox on them all!

Glad the article is out, but this is not new news. Anecdotally there was plenty of evidence that elite rabble-rousers were the moving force. And they´re connected with some really powerful people.

It is the elite that have bought into the NWO. It is the not elite that are the pawns to be sacrificed in order to save and preserve the elites. The elites are above the constitution and are ready to move on with one world globalists.

Don´t forget that Bill Ayers himself is a trust fund baby. One of the benefits of living long enough is you get enough life experience that not much surprises or shocks you anymore.

The charity said the site had been inundated with traffic after news broke that the victim, believed to be a serving soldier, had been wearing one of its T-shirts. As news of the killing quickly spread on social media, there were calls for people to visit the site to donate, or buy T-shirts or other merchandise as a show of support. The site´s shop quickly crashed and parts were still out of action on Thursday morning. A spokesman said: "Last night with the website, there was clearly a lot of interest." Is the worm turning against Barack Obama? After four-plus years of being given the benefit of the doubt by the bulk of the US media, the President now suddenly feels more vulnerable. Today both the New York Times and the Washington Post have run prominent and angry editorials and columns slamming the administration for its attempt to criminalise a Fox News reporter James Rosen for working a State Department source to obtain a story. The "Rosen Affair"--as it is now known--is poisoning the well in Washington at an alarming rate for Mr Obama, with an indignant White House press corps

A heroin addict father smokes the deadly drug contentedly as his two innocent children sit watching him adoringly. The oblivious man is part of a growing epidemic in the war-torn country of Afghanistan, which has seen the number of opium and heroin addicts tripling to 150,000, according to latest United Nations Figures, while 225,000 used the drug in 2012. Former Rep. Anthony Weiner, whose career in public life came to an abrupt end when he sent lewd pictures to a college student on Twitter, jumped back into politics on Wednesday by announcing a bid for mayor of New York City. “Look, I’ve made some big mistakes and I know I’ve let a lot of people down,” the Democrat said in a 2-minute video announcing his bid. “But I’ve also learned some tough lessons. I’m running for mayor because I’ve been fighting for the middle class and those struggling to make it for my entire life.

The dam protecting the IRS scandal began to crack today when Lois Lerner, the IRS official who announced, and apologized for, the improper singling out of conservative-leaning organizations by IRS employees under her command, announced through her criminal defense lawyer that she will not testify as scheduled tomorrow before the House Oversight Committee. Rather, she will assert her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. This marks an enormous milestone in the IRS investigation. It can now be taken as more or less established that crimes were committed by Obama administration employees. Lerner’s lawyer tried to minimize the significance

The public got its first look Thursday at Lois Lerner, who has gone from faceless IRS bureaucrat to the face that launched what feels like 1,000 congressional hearings and conspiracy theories. But it was only a brief sighting since she didn´t stay long at a House hearing to further probe her role in how some IRS workers came to target conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status. (Snip)She did make a short statement to declare her innocence, however. Lerner´s motivation was more transparent than much of what the IRS has done in connection with this controversy. She was determined to

When you get right down to it, the political targeting and stalling of tax-exempt applications by the IRS was an effort to defund the Tea Party. Rick Santelli, one of the Tea Party founders and my CNBC colleague, was the first to make this point. I’ve taken it a step further: The IRS was taking the Tea Party out of play for the 2012 election, as it looked to avoid a repeat of 2010 and another Tea Party landslide. There are a lot of numbers out there.

What´s so interesting about 60 tea partiers protesting the IRS in San Jose, California on Tuesday, May 21st? The fact that this bit of information was conveyed to the protesters by a Department of Homeland Security officer who was also in attendance. What was a DHS agent doing at the San Jose Tea Party protest? (snip) they weren´t just spying on us in San Jose and monitoring us in San Francisco, they were watching us throughout the entire state

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa said embattled IRS official Lois Lerner waived her Fifth Amendment rights and will be hauled back to appear before his panel again. The California Republican said Lerner’s Fifth Amendment right to avoid self-incrimination was voided when she gave an opening statement this morning denying any wrongdoing and professing pride in her government service. “When I asked her her questions from the very beginning, I did so so she could assert her rights prior to any statement,” Issa told POLITICO. “She chose not to do so — so she waived.”
