| I was in quite a pique when I wrote last Friday about World Bank President Jim Yong Kim wading into the global warming debate via his cliché-ridden op-ed. I had just about simmered down when I found a “news analysis” by Elisabeth Rosenthal in Saturday’s New York Times. This so-called “news analysis” is a good example of why the left has no credibility on climate change. It underscores the hypocrisy and ignorance that permeate the liberal mindset on the issue. The piece does a good job of exposing the quiet death of the requirement that U.S. airlines

Those idiots on the left blame humankind or climate change. Reality check! This has been going on as long as the planet has been around. It is cyclical, not controlled by human beings. Another example of corrupt leftist thinking, trying to impose their bankrupt ideas on everyone.

I didn´t realize that the Ice Age ended with the Industrial Revolution. But I guess it makes sense. After all, there aren´t all that many 200+ year old structures on that terminal morraine known as Long Island. And to think I was educated in the Northeast!

It´s always terribly amusing to read the comments that are left on the pages of articles like this (the actual source page...)
We see time and again - the ´proponents´ of AGW are some of the least informed people on the planet. They are *not* keeping up with the ´latest´ science (or lack of) and are almost universally identifiable as ´zealots´ of the Al Gore variety.
Meanwhile...*EVERY* ´alarmist prediction´ uttered by the IPCC has proven to be a bust - yet idiot governments still scramble to relieve their citizens of excess money to ´fight´ a cause that absolutely cannot be ´won´ - primarily because it doesn´t actually exist.
Ya´ gotta´ appreciate what passes for intelligent environmentalism, but this isn´t even close to that category.

A number of people have sought to explain the IRS targeting of Tea Party, patriot, and 9/12 group applications -- as well as those from other conservative groups -- for "specialist team" treatment (mainly delays and excessive and inappropriate questions) in 2010 by pointing to the Citizens United decision that year allowing for unlimited, undisclosed fundraising by such groups. That´s the explanation IRS official Lois Lerner gave a week ago when she first revealed that the agency had improperly handled a slew of applications -- the political shorthand was a mistaken attempt to deal with a surge in applications.

WASHINGTON - There were new questions Saturday night concerning if anyone in the White House was aware of the IRS´ targeting of conservative groups. Inspector General Russell George said he informed a deputy at the Treasury Department in June of 2012 about the probe into the IRS. The Treasury Department confirmed the timeline but said they did not know the details of the investigation until last week.(Snip)Marcus Owens ran the tax-exempt division at the IRS for 10 years.
