Obama: ´Now´s the time´
for immigration reform

DEVELOPING ... President Obama said Tuesday that "now´s the time" for immigration reform, using an address in Las Vegas to try and energize renewed talks in Congress toward comprehensive legislation. "I´m here today because the time has come for common-sense comprehensive immigration reform," Obama said. The president, setting out to craft an immigration overhaul where many before him have failed, was running into trouble even before he gave his address. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., one of four Republican senators involved in a bipartisan effort to craft immigration reform legislation, earlier in the day blasted

I want him to just go away. Stop telling us what we need to do and not do. Good grief.....am so sick of this group of politicans and this administration in particular. How in heaven´s name did this happen? OK. I know....low info is so correct.

With a GOP-controlled House that really dislikes him?

Uh, no.

Guess you´ll just have to stick with those executive orders Barry.

He means ILLEGAL immigration reform. He just mis-speaks on occasion, that is, all occasions.

"I´m here today because the time has come for common-sense comprehensive immigration reform," Obama said.

Actually...we´re ´here´ today because Obama - in violation of his Oath of Office - has refused to adhere to or enforce existing Federal law.

One would think being a lawyer - he´d at least have some clue as to when he was breaking laws and quit trying to pretend his ´godlike nature´ puts him in a position to thumb his nose at the millions in the country who *do* follow laws.

Guess not.

I love how they tack "common sense" on to every left-wing initiative they push. It´s common sense to let illegal immigrants now bring their entire family in, so we can educate them, feed them, and provide medical care to them?

This guy and his minions keep using that term "common sense" as if they had a clue just what commom sense is. The man is liar and that should be no surprise. As a student of Saul Alinky´s ilk, he follows Alinsky´s adomonition to lie and mislead if it will help achieve your goals of bring down the "system" from within. That´s Obama in a nutshell.

Since only a tiny fraction of the illegals already here ever get deported, all we can hope is that a few of those granted amnesty are dumb enough to actually pay taxes and help taxpaying citizens out a little bit.

Right, barry, real unemployment is nearly 15% and "entitlement" spending levels are already wildly unsustainable. Just what we need is a huge additional burden on the system.

Lying, deceitful, opportunistic, cynical creep.

He no more wants real reform than he wants true bipartisanship- removing Immigration as a problem would take away the Democrat´s door to the Hispanic vote.

See Sen Sessions comments on this "reform"

Immigration reform:

1. Round up all illegals
2. Deport all illegals
3. Secure the borders against illegals
4. Put out of business all businesses that employ illegals
5. Teach Bow-Boy the term "illegal" and make the birth certificate challenged Marxist take a test ensuring he does understand the word as parts of speech
6. Impeach Bow-Boy and his boy Holder

I think obama should clear up his immigration status first.

Reply 19 - Posted by: bighambone, 1/29/2013 8:39:56 PM     (No. 9147339)

Do you think that Obama and the liberal Democrats would be pushing so hard for all illegal aliens to be given a clear path to US voting rights if they ever had an inkling that more then a very small percentage of the legalized aliens would ever have an epifinany and vote for conservative Republicans?

Only certain Republican (Stupid) Party politicians believe that if they just grant what amounts to a big amnesty that Hispanics, US citizens and legalized aliens by the millions, will come flocking to the Stupid Party. That has never happened before and it will not happen now.

If Obama and the liberal Democrats get their liberal version of immigration reform passed and eventually land ten million or so new voters as a result in the years ahead, it will be all down hill to political oblivion for the Stupid Party as the Democrats use those new voters to extend the current California one party political scene to States like Arizona, Florida and Texas.

This month Obama says "Now´s the time" for immigration reform. What will it be next month? This guy is like a seven-headed hydra with its arms flailing wildly trying to keep everybody "busy" and distracted, trying to cope with his "plan of the month" or wallow in the "tragedy of the month" with the help of his corrupt media and of course always in a hurry. I like Rush´s proposal. Just tell the Democrats "OK, we´re all for immigration reform for illegals, let´s give amnesty to all the illegals in the country, BUT, they will not be able to vote for the next 25 years". Then we hear ´crickets´ from the Democrat side. Kinda puts the lie to Obama´s "Plan" - just another underhanded scheme to get more votes for the DemocRAT party, at the expense of the rest of the country. My, how our country has fallen with this corrupt scoundrel for pResident. We have gone from honest George Washington, our first founding president, to a criminal who spews nothing but lies. Most Americans want to trust their leaders. They don´t like being lied to constantly, it will come back to bite Obama eventually. He has zero credibility now.

President Obama on Thursday nominated Victoria Nuland, a State Department official involved in the editing of the administration´s talking points on Benghazi, to be the next assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs. Nuland, a career foreign service officer who was until recently State´s top spokesperson, had long been expected to be nominated the post to replace Philip Gordon, who Obama picked to serve as Middle East coordinator for the National Security Council. Nuland´s nomination -- which requires Senate confirmation -- could come under scrutiny from Republicans who see her as playing a central role in shaping

America´s 100 million cable and satellite subscribers are forced to pay ever-higher bills for a growing number of channels they do not watch. The American people are being ripped off. Meanwhile, services such as iTunes and Netflix have led a revolution in how consumers purchase and experience music and video entertainment. They have upended entire industries to allow consumers to buy digital content where they want, when they want. Amid all this change, two entrenched interests — the cable television and video programming industries — have teamed up to use federal regulations to stack the deck against consumers.

Conservative radio host Mark Levin is very skeptical of the idea that President Obama had absolutely no idea about the IRS tea party targeting before the story broke in the news mere weeks ago. Levin declared adamantly that it is a “flat-out, bald-faced lie” that Obama didn’t know beforehand, citing prior reports by a few conservative news outlets picking up on the news well before the 2012 presidential election. Levin said, “I don’t believe for two seconds that Obama wasn’t aware of this.”

President Obama is a little uneasy with the way journalists have been dragged into the Justice Department’s aggressive pursuit of national security leak investigations. In fact, he has ordered Attorney General Eric Holder to conduct a 45-day review of the department’s guidelines on the issue. That bit of news was buried in the middle of the president’s hourlong speech today at National Defense University. “Journalists should not be at legal risk for doing their jobs,” President Obama said. “Our focus must be on those who break the law.” And then the news: “I have raised these issues with

Anthony Weiner’s nascent mayoral campaign is off to a rough start. Weiner made his candidacy for mayor of New York official in the wee hours of Wednesday morning, and since then there’s no indication that the process is going particularly well. The former rising star in the Democratic Party can’t shake the scandal that forced him to resign from Congress, and he may be throwing fuel on the fire. Asked this morning whether there was another shoe to drop in the sextweeting scandal that ousted him, Weiner admitted, Well, yeah.

White House press secretary Jay Carney could only explain his problems on Wednesday by telling reporters, "[T]here are a lot of you, and you´re good at your jobs and you´re smart." As easy as it might be for Carney to lob such insincere praise at former journalistic colleagues, such posterior osculations must be embarrassing for a White House so accustomed to having the press in its back pocket. Carney´s job has become more difficult in the past two weeks. Where his explanations were accepted at face value in the past, he is now met with deep skepticism. Suddenly, the

WASHINGTON – First she refused to testify. Now Lois Lerner, the IRS official at the center of the agency scandal, is refusing to resign, according to a top Republican senator. Sources confirmed to Fox News earlier Thursday that Lerner, the head of the IRS division that oversaw the unit targeting conservative groups, had been placed on administrative leave, with pay. But Sen. Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, claimed she was only put in that status after refusing to step down. He said the commissioner was in his right to demand her resignation, and said taxpayers

Former Rep. I’m running for mayor because I’ve been fighting for the middle class and those struggling to make it for my entire life.

But it was only a brief sighting since she didn´t stay long at a House hearing to further probe her role in how some IRS workers came to target conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status. (Snip)She did make a short statement to declare her innocence, however. Lerner´s motivation was more transparent than much of what the IRS has done in connection with this controversy. When you get right down to it, the political targeting and stalling of tax-exempt applications by the IRS was an effort to defund the Tea Party. Rick Santelli, one of the Tea Party founders and my CNBC colleague, was the first to make this point. I’ve taken it a step further: The IRS was taking the Tea Party out of play for the 2012 election, as it looked to avoid a repeat of 2010 and another Tea Party landslide. There are a lot of numbers out there.

On “Fox News Sunday” last weekend, White House aide Dan Pfeiffer was asked about President Barack Obama’s whereabouts the night of the Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi. This was the night when we lost our first ambassador in 30 years, and when three other Americans were killed in an attack that lasted all night long at multiple locations within the eastern Libyan city. Since the president is commander in chief, one would think where he was and what he did during such an event would be of obvious public concern.
