| How much will Barack Obama spend for a photo-op while he pushes his immigration policies? For his round-trip today to Las Vegas, where he will speak about immigration reform at a local high school, Obama’s trip on Air Force One will cost over $1.6 million. Air Force One costs $182,000 per hour, and the trip will total 9 hours. I finally had to turn it off when he started yammering about all that immigrants offer this country and make it better. Yes they do, LEGAL immigrants. Both of my sets of grandparents can attest to that. He´s just unbearable to listen to and watch.

I certainly agree with OP. My Grandparents were so very proud to become citizens. They carefully kept all of their documentation including results of exams not out of fear, but out of the great pride they had in being part of our republic. They also learned to speak ENGLISH.

Mine 2 #1 My Grand mother came over from Sweden when my Mother was 3. Had to have proof that she could work and learned English. She was very proud to be an American. Living in Ca. the stores have everything written in Spanish and their Kids in our schools are bringing all schools down. Not to sound racist, but has anyone mentioned the gang activity? They are not all model citizens as the president would like you to think...

Sheldon Whitehouse has apologized for remarks Monday in which he linked Oklahoma "cyclones" to climate change while berating Republicans for their stance on the issue -- around the time a massive tornado killed dozens in that state. A Whitehouse spokesman said Tuesday the politically charged remarks were pre-written as part of the senator’s weekly Senate floor speech on climate change. “Tragically and unbeknownst to the senator at the time, a series of tornadoes were hitting Oklahoma at the same moment he gave his remarks,” the spokesman said.

White House spokesman Jay Carney today disclosed that Obama’s chief of staff, Dennis McDonough, and other top White House officials had advance warning that the IRS was targeting conservative groups. Their headline wasn´t "Obama Team Also Spied on Fox News." Fox wasn´t in the headline, on A-1 or on A-12, where the story continued. The wheels came off the Obama administration yesterday. We learned of a startling assault on freedom of the press by the Department of Justice, following the revelation last week of the unprecedented information-gathering foray by that department against The Associated Press. Then, a few minutes later, the Justice Department’s inspector general released a report declaring that the US attorney in Arizona used the leak of a confidential memo to try to discredit a whistleblower in the notorious “gun-walking” scandal known as Fast and Furious (which got two federal agents killed). The leak was called “egregious.”

WASHINGTON – A top IRS official in the division that reviews nonprofit groups will invoke the Fifth Amendment and refuse to answer questions before a House committee investigating the agency’s improper screening of conservative nonprofit groups. Lois Lerner, the head of the exempt organizations division of the IRS, won’t answer questions about what she knew about the improper screening – or why she didn’t reveal it to Congress, according to a letter from her defense lawyer, William W. Taylor 3rd. Lerner was scheduled to appear before the House Oversight committee Wednesday.

One of the questions was whether he/she was concerned about unsecured weapons in the home.
