(He also went up to the MD mountains for afternoon bike riding 3 times a week or so, but it got little publicity since he was in isolated terrain with only the secret service.) Bush´s hours away from the WH for bike riding were a lot more than any golf hours Obama takes which is at most 4 hours every other weekend.

Since there are many many more weekend golfers than weekend mountain bike riders I don´t think in this case it is so unusual not to want to spend one´s weekends at Camp David.
