No Deal - Obama: No Border
Security Before Path to
Citizenship

President Barack Obama is set to reject the key compromise at the heart of a bipartisan deal on immigration reform announced by eight Senators yesterday. The president, who will deliver an address later today in Las Vegas, NV outlining his own immigration ideas, is reported to oppose linking a “path to citizenship” for illegal immigrants, a Democrat demand, to stronger law enforcement and better border security, a Republican demand. The president will apparently argue that the administration has met reasonable goals on enforcing current immigration legislation, and that additional security will merely create new obstacles to legalizing

Another day another outrage. 0bama is a traitor and should be impeached. Of course that will never happen.

You cannot ask people to follow a law that is not enforced at all. And who made up this 11 million number I see at abc nbc et al? It is closer to 30 million than it is 11 million . But who cares about facts - obviously not the white house paid propaganda mongers posing as journalists.

One supposes he doesn´t want things to be any more difficult for *other* illegal aliens than it was for him...

Without enforcement, any deal is useless.

Why bother to even get papers if you´re never going to be sent back anyway. I predict that a lot of people won´t even bother for various reasons...it costs money, wanted on warrants, don´t feel like paying taxes, don´t really want to be a US citizen anyway...and on and on.

Just setting up the coming immigration rope-a-dope for the Stupid Party.

The "honorable" Schumers and Durbins will "reluctantly" concede this, gutting their agreement with the Four Stupidos (Maverick, Miss Lindsey, The Flake and the Evolved Marco Rubio). Then the ´Rats´ Greek chorus in the MFM and elsewhere will start parading their familiar group of heart-string tuggers and beat the Stupid Party into submission.

Again.

Ignore the Kabuki. Dear Leader is just trying to give Rubio´s RINOs political cover. Remember, Rubio´s plan was good enough for Chuck Schumer and Dick Turban Durban. It´s a done deal. Bye bye GOP.

GOP accept more taxes IF spending cuts are accepted. No cuts, but more taxes.

GOP accepts gun control IF more enforcement of current laws. No enforcement, but more laws.

GOP accepts amnesty IF more enforcement of current laws. No enforcement, but amnesty.

Simplifications, but even I can see a pattern here.

Even if laws are set up, its not like Zero will enforse them. Maybe I´m wrong.Let´s have a show of hands if you think Zero will enforce any immigrarion laws.

There is no need to create a streamlined system to give 11 to 20 million illegal aliens US voting rights to solve the current illegal alien problem. The President of Mexico back during the G.W. Bush era used to advise that the vast majority of Mexicans who are living in the USA illegally are happy being Mexicans, only want to work in the USA, want to be treated with dignity, to be able to travel to and from the USA as they wish, and are not asking to be conferred with US citizenship.

In that respect, the Congress could grant longtime illegal aliens a conditional immigration status that allowed them to live and work in the US indefinitely as long as they complied with US immigration law. That status could protect them under US labor laws and allow them the right of travel to any from the USA. Most illegal aliens would be happy to accept such a conditional immigration status that would not include a path to citizenship and US voting rights.

The reason that Obama wants a streamlined amnesty system designed to give the illegal alien population US voting rights ASAP, is that the Democrats see the probability of a massive pick-up of between 11 to 20 million new voters in the years ahead coming out of their amnesty, to the point where they could change the political balance of the USA permanently in their favor, by remaking States like Florida, Arizona and Texas into what California is politically today. The Republicans must oppose that, or they will end up committing long-term political suicide.

The estimate of 11-12 million illegals is a gross low ball. It´s more like 25-30 million. We are overwhelmed. My mother predicted this illegal immigration disaster in 1968.

This from the man who sued Arizona for trying to enforce existing laws.

How long have we been in Groundhog´s Day now?

What didn´t the GOP understand about self-deportation when they enforced immigration laws in AZ? What don´t they understand about the enforcement of any law? Why does a deal need to be made to enforce laws?
ENFORCE the laws...or at least TRY, and it will become obvious to even the most brain-dead that Obama is lawless.

What goals?! What goals did he meet!? The goal of being re-elected again?! Goals of stripping us of our sovereignty, duping the public, brainwashing a willing press to deify him and pee their pants with giddiness every time he opens his contemptible mouth? GOALS? I am incensed! My Husband keeps roaming the house saying “hijo de **** Obama! Hice las cosas el derecho camino y para qué Me ha defraudado, como algún tipo de burro!”

The revelation that the government’s talking points in the wake of the Benghazi attacks were edited to reflect the concerns of a variety of federal agencies has sparked a firestorm of controversy in recent weeks. Some early reports on that email exchange created the erroneous impression that the White House was more deferential to the concerns of State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland, who sought to remove from those talking points a variety of references suggesting the Benghazi attack was the result of a coordinated act of terror. The actual interagency email exchange, released by the Obama administration on Wednesday,

DENVER — Colorado sheriffs upset with gun restrictions adopted in the aftermath of last year’s mass shootings filed a federal lawsuit Friday, challenging the regulations as unconstitutional. The lawsuit involves sheriffs from 54 of Colorado’s 64 counties, most representing rural, gun-friendly areas of the state. The sheriffs say the new state laws violate Second Amendment protections that guarantee the right to keep and bear arms. Opponents are criticizing the lawsuit as political maneuvering. The filing targets Colorado laws that limit the size of ammunition magazines and expand background checks. The regulations

WASHINGTON – Jay Devereaux hadn’t paid much attention to the daily drumbeat of partisan politics in D.C. He wasn’t a Washington nerd, and didn’t know who said what during congressional hearings -- nor did he care. But when news broke that the government was using taxpayer money to bail out Wall Street banks, he started paying attention and didn’t like what he was hearing. So the Florida father and information technology specialist decided to form a group, Unite in Action, to educate people in his area about the issues, he said.

First Lady Michelle Obama has expanded her anti-obesity campaign to museums, enlisting them to offer “healthy food options,” and change their menus. Mrs. Obama’s “Let’s Move!” initiative is now calling for museums, zoos, gardens, science and technology centers to “join the call to action,” to decrease obesity among children. The first lady is recruiting these institutions to join the “Let’s Move! Museums and Gardens” project because of their power to “influence real and sustained behavior change” on the eating habits of kids. “With their impressive reach and great potential for impact, museums and gardens can launch community

During a House Ways and Means Committee hearing today, Rep. Aaron Schock, R-Ill., grilled outgoing IRS commissioner Steven Miller about the IRS targeting a pro-life group in Iowa. "Their question, specifically asked from the IRS to the Coalition for Life of Iowa: ‘Please detail the content of the members of your organization’s prayers,’" Schock declared. “Would that be an inappropriate question to a 501 c3 applicant?” asked Schock. “The content of one’s prayers?” “It pains me to say I can’t speak to that one either,” Miller replied. After Schock pressed him further, Miller explained that although

WASHINGTON — Congressional Republicans, not resting with the Internal Revenue Service scandal, are moving to broaden the matter to an array of tax malfeasances and “intimidation tactics” they hope will ensnare the White House. Republican charges range from the clearly questionable to the seemingly specious, and they grow by the day. On Friday, lawmakers sought to tie the I.R.S. matter to the implementation of President Obama’s health care law, which will rely heavily on the agency. Whether they succeed holds significant ramifications for Mr. Obama,

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services says it wants as many as 20 percent of its workers to "telework," use an "alternative work schedule," or do both, in order to "reduce green house gas emissions," decrease "employee stress," and give these government workers more time for "planning and preparing healthy meals." So says one of the HHS "performance measures" detailed in an appendix to the department´s latest strategic plan. HHS´s performance measure "4.D.05" says: "Increase the percent employees on telework or on Alternative Work Schedule." Telework means working from home via phone and computer.

Obama administration officials who were in key positions on Sept. 11, 2012, acknowledge that a range of mistakes were made the night of the attacks on the U.S. missions in Benghazi, and in messaging to Congress and the public in the aftermath. The officials spoke to CBS News in a series of interviews and communications under the condition of anonymity so that they could be more frank in their assessments. They do not all agree on the list of mistakes and it's important to note that they universally claim that any errors or missteps did not cost lives and reflect "incompetence rather than malice or cover up.

In the wake of one of the worst abuses of government power in recent history, many are rushing to frame the Internal Revenue Service scandal as simply an attack on conservative activists. That view risks creating a partisan political football and misses a fundamentally scarier abuse that exceeds the scandals of Watergate or any other prior government abuse. The IRS has admitted that since May 2010 it targeted grassroots-conservative organizations that had applied for tax-exempt status, unfairly subjecting them to rigorous scrutiny due to their political leanings. Such groups were told they were required to comply with IRS requests,

Treasury Secretary Jack Lew on Friday urged congressional leaders to raise the debt limit and insisted that the White House is not going to negotiate over the increase because lawmakers have "no choice." "We will not negotiate over the debt limit," Lew wrote. "The creditworthiness of the United States is non-negotiable. The question of whether the country must pay obligations it has already incurred is not open to debate." Lew said that while President Obama is willing to discuss plans to reduce the nation´s deficit with Congress, those talks must be kept separate from any effort to raise the nation´s debt cap.

The disclosure to the Treasury general counsel and the deputy secretary was a cursory one, according to J. Russell George, the Treasury inspector general for tax administration. The lawmaker leading the charge to investigate the Benghazi terror attack on Friday subpoenaed the co-author of a report that slammed the State Department but didn´t interview Hillary Clinton. House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) formally demanded that retired ambassador Thomas Pickering submit to being deposed by the committee next Thursday. The subpoena comes in the wake of a series of acrimonious public exchanges this week between the two men. Issa didn´t issue a subpoena to former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Michael Mullen, who co-authored the Benghazi report with Pickering.
