| HOUSTON- The sight of Army helicopters and the sound of gunfire created a lot of concern Monday afternoon in one Houston neighborhood. We received a lot of phones calls, Tweets and Facebook posts from worried neighbors, wondering what was going on. (Snip)The U.S. Army along with other agencies took over the old Carnegie Vanguard High School near Scott and Airport. There were armed men in fatigues, plenty of weapons and what many thought were real live rounds "I felt like I was in a warzone." Jerrals said. "It was nonstop. I was terrified."

The last I knew, the military had no authority to conduct army drills in a civilian environment. Who authorized this? Are these drills to familiarize the population so that when Barry gives the word, the population will comply like sheep heading into the FEMA concentration camps?

I´ve been doing some Bing searches. It´s been happening all over the country - St. Louis, Minneapolis, Chicago, Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles etc. - since at least 2011.

I´m surprised some armed citizens did not investigate this.
I´m not surprised that Channel 13 found some scared people. It did happen in Sheila Jackson Lee´s district.

Of course the American military has the authority to train in America. In case you missed our military fights in urban situations, why not train in American cities.
Come on people there is enough real problems without inventing non-existing ones.

Yesterday it was reported a similar exercise, unannounced, occurred in Florida. Another report was about convoys of containers with all the ammunition, being moved. And now this. The exercises, again, unannounced, are intimidating and frightening....which I believe is their (government)intent.

"Turns out, it was a multi-agency training drill that Jerrals wished would have come with warning. "
Remember years ago, all that talk about "black helicopters"? It turned out to be the same thing as this: military training in some urban areas, in cooperation with local authorities -- but the locals didn´t give sufficient warning to their citizens.
Then the media made fun of anyone who mentioned "black helicopters" and called them "conspiracy theorists".
After all, the helicopters weren´t black -- they were Army green...

The helicopters were black and flown by pilots of the 160th. These drills go back to the early 90s and followed scenarios intended to replicate foreign cities. The core assault teams were special forces, whom i doubt would consent to do Obama´s bidding were they ordered to attack US citizens, particularly since most of the troops fall into the bitter clinger category themselves.

#2 is exactly right. They are doing this everywhere so the population will get used to it so when the real thing comes we will just march off to the FEMA camps which are already set up. Buy more guns!

It´s simple - Obama is firing 20,000 marines currently in the military and guess who he will replace them with. Remember his ´private army´ he bragged about creating in his first run for office? Well, here ya´ go.

There is no need to conduct training without warning so close to civilians. The whole Federal government is too powerful, invasive, coercive and corrupt, it needs taken down about 10 pegs. Starting with the boy blunder messiah in charge.

I do not agree with US army drills on the US population. The public is being disarmed, invaded by Army drills, and watched over by drones. The constitution is being ignored: officials appointed without congressional approval, regulations passed and enforced by an unaccountable bureaucracy, a president rulling by executive fiat, everything declared an emergency to avoid debate, a congress that rubber stamps. This does not sound like a very free society.

If they didn´t want to scare the populace, they would have given fair warning.
Using a school as theater of operation is probably just a mask for the ulterior motive.
That´s not so smart to ride on the helicopter with feet on the skids: Something could happen to them. Looks really macho though.
Just watch Rambo if you wonder about their eventual outcome, "Will! Will! Will! Help me Will! Rambo got me! Will!". ha ha ha ha.

In some states, more than three-quarters of residents were born in that state. In others, fewer than 40 percent of residents are native-born. Here´s a look, via a recent University of Virginia analysis, of which states (plus D.C.) have the most, and least, native-born residents, according to 2010 Census data. The 10 states with the highest percent of residents who were born there (percent of residents who are natives in parenthesis): 1. Louisiana (78.8) -2. Michigan (76.6) -3. Ohio (75.1) -4. Tomorrow, a tiny sliver of the city´s residents will look at a scroll of names you´ve probably never heard and grant to a few the power to sentence criminals, negotiate divorces and adjudicate lawsuits for years to come. "This is what I call a committeeman´s election," said 33rd Ward Democratic Leader Donna Aument, of Kensington, referring to the power that members of the city´s Democratic committees wield in off-year elections. Her daughter, Marnie Aument Loughrey, is running for Traffic Court. Turnout is expected to be exceptionally low for the primary, meaning the several thousand votes that the local Democratic machine

The usually-cocksure Jay Carney has rarely appeared so uncomfortable. “What I can tell you is that this president believes strongly in the First Amendment and is a strong defender of the First Amendment,” Carney insisted to a packed house of angry reporters last Tuesday afternoon. The White House had just been freshly stung by news that the Department of Justice had secretly raided the phone records of up to 100 Associated Press reporters, looking to identify the news organization’s private sources. He believes strongly in the need for the press to be unfettered in its pursuit of investigative journalism,”

President Obama "was kept up to date" on the terror attack in Benghazi "throughout the entire night, from the moment it started until the very end," the president´s senior adviser Dan Pfeiffer told "Fox News Sunday." But repeatedly pressed for details on where the president was and what the president was doing on the night of Sept. 11, 2012, Pfeiffer dodged the question, saying only that Obama was "kept up to date with the events as they were happening." Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace, pressing Pfeiffer to fill in the blanks, noted that Obama was

BAGHDAD— A string of car bombs and shootings killed at least 57 people in Shiite and Sunni areas of Iraq on Monday, officials said, escalating fears of a return to widespread sectarian bloodletting in the country. The attacks, some of which hit market places and crowded bus stops during the morning rush hour, pushed the death toll in Iraq since Wednesday to more than 200. The bloodshed over the past week has been reminiscent of the retaliatory attacks between Sunnis and Shiites that pushed the country to the brink of civil war in 2006-2007.

On the May 19 broadcast of CNN´s State of the Union, host Candy Crowley said that Obama was late in identifying the attacks in Benghazi as terrorism quite contrary to what she said during the Presidential debates late last year. As Crowley questioned White House spokesman Dan Pfeiffer, she pressed him on whether or not the President was aware of the Benghazi talking points being written and re-written by the Department of State and the intel community, re-writes that eventually eliminated any mention that the attacks were perpetrated by terrorists. In reply, Pfeiffer blithely told Crowley that "no president"

What did President Obama do on the evening of 9/11/12 when our men were under attack in Benghazi? The invaluable Andrew McCarthy reminds us that Obama and Secretary Clinton had a 10:00 p.m. phone call of which many (including, I think, Chris Wallace) have lost sight. This morning when Wallace asked Obama aide Dan Pfeiffer what Obama was up to that evening, Pfeiffer declared the line of inquiry “offensive.” Translation: Obama and his minions would prefer to “move on” and are warning the likes of FNC off:(Snip for video)The Weekly Standard’s Daniel Halper has posted the rush transcript

WASHINGTON - There were new questions Saturday night concerning if anyone in the White House was aware of the IRS´ targeting of conservative groups. Inspector General Russell George said he informed a deputy at the Treasury Department in June of 2012 about the probe into the IRS. The Treasury Department confirmed the timeline but said they did not know the details of the investigation until last week.(Snip)Marcus Owens ran the tax-exempt division at the IRS for 10 years. It began in earnest last Friday. A flash mob of latte drinking, tofu eating media that has done its best to quell, rather than fan the flames of truth, turned on one of their own. Jay Carney lay bludgeoned at the base of the podium, a victim of friendly fire. Ironically, the attack was reminiscent of the one in Benghazi he has repeatedly denied the Administration he represents bears any responsibility for. “Changed twelve times?!” came the cries. And with good reason. We were misled; no, lied to.

Treasury Secretary Jack Lew on Friday urged congressional leaders to raise the debt limit and insisted that the White House is not going to negotiate over the increase because lawmakers have "no choice." "We will not negotiate over the debt limit," Lew wrote. "The creditworthiness of the United States is non-negotiable. The question of whether the country must pay obligations it has already incurred is not open to debate." Lew said that while President Obama is willing to discuss plans to reduce the nation´s deficit with Congress, those talks must be kept separate from any effort to raise the nation´s debt cap.

Washington – Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-MO, issued a video statement Friday in response to reports that the Internal Revenue Service unfairly targeted conservative nonprofit groups. (Snip) “There’s a reason Lady Justice wears a blindfold in America. That is because in America, we don’t apply the law based on who you are, who you know, or what you believe. So actually asked CNN´s Candy Crowley of her guest Sen.
