Tower of Hate: Racist and

Welcome to the 1,776-foot tower of hate. Shocking Daily News photos show bathrooms throughout 1 World Trade Center rife with repugnant graffiti — appalling scrawls that range from the N-word to sexist slurs and ethnic insults. “Whites only,” reads a Jim Crow-era taunt over the urinals in one bathroom of the 104-story building. Other anonymous offenders target President Obama — who visited the construction site just last June: “Where’s Obama’s birth certificate!!!!”The soaring symbol of American resilience now bears the markings of lowlifes. “It’s filthy, it’s shocking,” said Marie-Anne Sanchez, 37, who was visiting from Paris with her fiancé.

Respecting the office is mandatory, but respect for the man holding the office is optional.

1. Celebrate diversity! Sounds like all groups are vilified in turn.

2. What do you expect from a bunch of predominantly Democrat, predominately male, solely Union, Thugs??

All of it written by New York´s unionized construction workers? Guess which party they vote for? And about that C-word scrawled on the wall - why is it OK for Bill Maher to use that word on television to describe Sarah Palin, but not OK for a construction worker to write it on a wall?

Graffiti?! Naw man, it´s ART!
just ask the National Endowment for the Arts

Go home Marie-Ann, and check out the hate and malice in the "asian" suburbs of Paree. You´re one to talk.

"Respecting the office is mandatory..."

Speak for yourself. I lost "respect for the office" with Clinton (both of them), and now, after Obama, and with his idiot wife even being considered for it in the future, it´s gone forever.

Union construction workers aren´t diplomatic-corps material?

Who knew?

And gosh! When did graffiti become racist and sexist? /sarcasm

Respecting the office is mandatory? No, it is not. How much respect does the office rate if it can be occupied by the likes of this Marxist dictator. No, I accord the office no respect at all. In fact, I hold the office in utter and complete contempt.

Where in the Constitution is it written that one must respect the office.

I have the same respect for the WH as I do for every other politician and most journalists and used car salesmen.

Think about what we have here....a newspaper is writing an article about bathroom graffiti. How much sillier can you get? I guess you could ask a French tourist about it, like they did here....

Also - it looked to me like the insults were pretty equal opportunity - men being little boys and trading forbidden insults in one of the only places where that can be done.

I am quite sure that none other than hitlery clinton stated that opposition is patriotic.

So the graffiti is patriotic IMHO.

I am so sick of graffiti. It´s all just cliché "art" now. It rates right with a stray dog´s sidewalk leavings.

I am so tired of seeing trains pass through our town with Peter Max like scrawlings covering them like they just came from Yasgur´s farm. I prefer the oil stained faded grey and faded red cars.

This is no different than any construction site that I have ever been on. Its no better or worse in New York, Pennsylvania, California, Georgia or Florida. Im not saying that its right....it just is. And union construction sites ARE the worst.

Have we become so uneducated and vile that there aren´t enough cops to monitor each and every building ?

It was a more muted affair for President Obama in Berlin today as he spoke at Berlin´s iconic Brandenburg Gate before an invite-only crowd of 6,000 guests - a remarkable difference from the rock-star welcome he received five years ago in front of 200,000 cheering supporters. Then, Obama had it all to play for - the glowing presidential candidate symbolizing America´s revived hope for the future. This time, he arrived back in Berlin under the cloud of NSA surveillance programs which have outraged many Europeans and the ever-growing crisis in Syria. The President removed his jacket and rolled up

President Barack Obama followed in the footsteps of past U.S. leaders with a speech Wednesday at Berlin´s iconic Brandenburg Gate, where he said he would ask Russia to join the United States in slashing its supply of strategic nuclear warheads. "I intend to seek negotiated cuts with Russia to move beyond Cold War nuclear postures," Obama said in the city that symbolized the East-West divide in the decades after World War II. Repeating his campaign themes of equal opportunity and freedom for all, Obama said such ideals can provide the prosperity sought by all nations -- especially longtime allies

SANFORD, Fla.--The family of slain Florida teen Trayvon Martin has "every confidence" that a jury will convict George Zimmerman, the former neighborhood watch captain accused in his shooting death, a family attorney said. Martin´s family, including his mother Sybrina Fulton and father Tracy Martin, have attended jury selection proceedings in the Seminole County criminal courthouse since they launched more than a week ago. Attorneys in the case have been whittling down a pool of potential jurors, questioning them on their exposure to news reports in the high-profile case.

The Airbus next-generation A350 plane took off commercially at the Paris Air Show on Wednesday, winning multi-billion-dollar deals and the European manufacturer said that more deals were in the air. The news comes just days after the new plane took to the skies in its first ever test flight on Friday, stealing the limelight before the start of the air show -- a key event where Airbus and Boeing compete fiercely for plane orders. The two rivals are currently head-to-head -- $44.6 billion in new plane orders or agreements for Airbus versus $44.8 billion for Boeing -- after Ryanair

A new documentary features interviews with six whistle-blowers who claim that the official explanation given for the ill-fated Trans World Airline Flight 800 crash in 1996 is wrong. The flight crashed off the coast of Long Island 17 years ago, killing all 230 people on board in what is the third-deadliest aviation accident in U.S. history. The official explanation given by the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) at the time was that the crash was caused by a gas tank explosion. Many alternative theories exist, the most common is that a missile strike

Listening to Barack Obama give his speech in Belfast on Monday, it was hard not to stifle a yawn. I kept waiting for the part when he would say something interesting, but, about three quarters of the way through, realised it wasn’t going to come. Judging from television pictures some of his young audience felt the same, after the initial rush of euphoria of receiving the rock star president in their midst had passed. This is not surprising, for we had already heard this number about the inspirational role of the Northern Ireland peace process and the Emerald Isle’s

Women will have the chance to join the Navy SEALS, Army Rangers and other specialized combat outfits beginning in 2016 under plans approved Tuesday by Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel. Female candidates will also be able to join front-line Army and Marine Corps infantry units as part of the department’s decision. “The days of the ‘Rambo’ are over,” Maj. Gen. Bennet Sacolick, head of force development for Special Operations Command, said Tuesday during a briefing announcing the changes. Tuesday’s announcement builds on former Pentagon chief Leon Panetta’s decision in January to end the military’s long-standing ban

A group of whistleblowers, including a number of aviation experts, have come forward in a new documentary to claim that the official explanation for the crash of TWA Flight 800 was wrong and a gas tank explosion did not bring down the flight off the coast of Long Island 17 years ago. However, the six whistleblowers, all part of the original investigation team, stopped short of saying the plane was shot down. Flight 800, a Boeing 747, had just taken off from JFK airport with 230 people aboard on July 17, 1996 enroute to Paris when it exploded

An attorney whose firm represents two Benghazi whistleblowers said Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, lied to the Senate when he said there was never a “stand down” order during the Benghazi attack on Sept. 11, 2012. “What was fascinating is that he explained his lie to them,” Joe DiGenova, an attorney representing one of the whistleblowers, told CNSNews.com. “He actually said they were sent to Tripoli. They were needed in Benghazi,” said DiGenova, a former U.S. attorney, now with the Washington firm of DiGenova & Toensing.

Amid a steady rise of backlash, Edward Snowden, the 29-year-old former National Security Agency contractor who was the source of a spring of leaks about the agency´s surveillance methods, conducted a live chat on The Guardian´s website Monday morning. Judging from some of the pointed questions he´s been asked and the reaction to newly leaked revelations over the past few days, it´s clear that much of the sympathy and support Snowden had built up for his early exposures is eroding. Many Americans supported his decision to leak information about a pair of National Security Agency surveillance programs, which, he detailed, gathered information

As NewsBusters reported last week, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin called out vulgarian comedian Bill Maher for referring to her Down Syndrome son Trig as "retarded." On ABC´s The View Monday, co-host Barbara Walters astonishingly defended Maher saying, "I don´t think he intended it to be mean-spirited" (video follows with transcript and commentary): WHOOPI GOLDBERG: At a recent standup show in Las Vegas, comedian Bill Maher apparently called Sarah Palin’s five-year-old developmentally-challenged son Trig retarded. Jeb Bush says he’s not worried that his work toward comprehensive immigration reform and his ties to the GOP establishment will alienate conservatives and negatively impact a potential 2016 presidential campaign, referring to critics as “the chirpers.” “If I decide to run for office again, it will be based on what I believe, and it will be based on my record,” the former Florida governor said in an interview with the Christian Broadcasting Network’s David Brody. “And that record was one of solving problems completely from a conservative prospective.” Bush (R) pointed to his conservative

Charlie Rose last night asked President Obama his new Syria policy. The president first objected to it being called a new policy. "I´m not sure you can characterize this as a new policy. This is consistent with the policy that I´ve had throughout," he said. Obama then explained the goal is regional stability, and especially in Syria. "Really, what we´re trying to do is take sides against extremists of all sorts and in favor of people who are in favor of moderation, tolerance, representative government, and over the long-term, stability and prosperity for the people of Syria," said Obama.

Marco Rubio. Paul Ryan. The IRS. Illegal immigration. And fraud to the tune of billions.. Now there’s a combustible mix. Let’s start with the IRS, illegal immigration and fraud. We’ll come back in a minute to Senator Rubio and Congressman Ryan. For those who came in late, a year before the IRS scandals burst onto the scene in early May of 2013, an alert investigative reporter for WTHR-Indianapolis (Channel 13), Bob Segall by name, produced a stunning piece of journalism. Segall’s video report is found here and we will quote from his story for the basics.
