| I am a New England liberal, born and bred. I have lived most of my life in the Northeast — Boston, New York and Philadelphia — and my politics are devoutly Democratic. (Snip) I am also a Texas resident and a gun owner. I have half a dozen pistols in my safe, all semiautomatics, the largest capable of holding 20 rounds. I go to the range at least once a week, have applied for a concealed carry license and am planning to take a tactical training course in the spring.

As a Texan, I hope you are still registered to vote (and pay liberal-inspired high taxes) in one of those northeastern states ... and not in Texas.

I bought Cronin´s book, The Passage. It was billed as a thriller. I paid full retail. It was boring and uninvolving. I want my money back.

I would think Texans would prefer that cronin take his failed, bankrupt, immoral, unethical libtard supported policies and posterior back to New England where they belong.

Pistol packing liberals are nearly as crazy as the unarmed variety. Not enough restrictions to gun ownership, he bought one in a parking lot. Guess what duffus, there are many many more bought in the underground of American cities. Neither the buyer or seller is regulated and the gun has never seen the wisdom of registration nor will any of them encounter one whit of lawfulness until it´s too late!

He needs to take more than one tactical rifle class to see the wisdom in having an AR and more than 10 rounds available. Also, fail in not having his wife and daughter take some training too, if possible.

Still with the old long debunked "more likely to injure the homeowner" red herring. And he doesn´t mind the AR-15 regulations. Somebody oughta tell him his pistols are next, and are directly affected by Lucretia MacFeinstein´s proposed legislaton.

Shooting a bird is tantamount to killing a child. A metro sexual displaced New England liberal in Texas shooting himself, priceless.
Get the hell out of Texas and take Bow-Boy with you...if you are really here at all which I hope you are not.

What an imbecile. It may have taken a stupendous effort to avoid the obvious cure for a smokestacked round. Try removing the magazine and pull the slide back to eject it. If that doesn´t work, then engage the slide hold and shake it free. This guy shouldn´t be handling sharp objects, let alone firearms.

He may be a gun-owner, and even one that recognizes that gun ownership has legitimate purposes beyond hunting--and "skeet shooting". But he can´t help being a smarter-than-you-are liberal. He didn´t have any problems with buying a gun in a parking lot--but he doesn´t want you to be able to. And if he doesn´t need an AR-15, well, you don´t either. (Full disclosure: I don´t care for the AR´s myself, and when i worked a gun counter for a few months, the AR shoppers tended to vaguely annoy me. But my personal feelings aren´t the point, something liberals can´t seem to grasp.)

How can you loathe the NRA that provides the guidance for the very firearms instruction that your daughter took....
What a smarmy tool Justin Cronin is. The AR-15 is not a "heavy" weapon. It´s a light weapon which is why we issue guns like that to individual troops. Lightweight and easy to shoot.
I made the mistake of reading the article and want that 5 minutes of my life back.
It won´t be too easy to buy a gun when this tool needs one. I never thought I would desire for a person to not have guns. I desire that Justin not have firearms. He is making the other gun owners look like smarmy d00che canoes.

Typical liberal Democrat- Justin picks and chooses which laws he would personally like to live by and then wants all others he dislikes to be taken from his fellow citizens. He also likes to raise taxes for others then flees to a lower tax state. What a dirty little Democrat jerk!

This has to be some sort of mistake. PC Mag: Wisconsin high schooler Sabrina Brady’s best day ever was when her father returned home from an 18-month deployment in Iraq. Now, the country can share that moment with her, when Brady’s doodle is featured on the search giant’s homepage this Thursday. After 130,000 submissions and millions of votes, Sparta, Wisc., resident Brady today was named the 2013 U.S. Doodle 4 Google National Winner.

Cleta Mitchell has prepared this comprehensive guide to the IRS abuse of election-integrity and Tea Party groups. (Snip) An interesting narrative split is developing among the Left. As Bryan Preston notes, the reliable Praetorian Press Guard, formerly known as JournoList, has a plan: condemn the IRS and say Obama had nothing to do with it. But others, the speech regulators on the Left, must not have been invited to the West Wing meetings with the JournoList members, because groups like Democracy 21 are busy approving of the IRS abuse.

The Internal Revenue Service, charged with implementing the biggest change in tax laws in 20 years due to Obamacare, has created eight offices and special "teams" to handle the chore, way more than initially revealed. Besides the top office headed by the woman in the middle of the IRS-Tea Party scandal, there are seven others and a special enforcement team that make up an organization chart that mirrors the organization of the IRS itself, according to a Treasury Inspector General´s report.

Tucked away in someone else’s shoe box of adolescent artifacts, there might be a picture of you in garish clothes and with an outdated ‘do, your arm around a high school squeeze. The President of the United States is no different. These previously unpublished photos, obtained exclusively by TIME from Obama’s schoolmate Kelli Allman (née McCormack), show a 17-year-old Barack Obama on the night of his senior prom. Barry spent in his days at the Punahou School in Hawaii studying, shooting hoops and goofing off with his friends.

This time of year, as college students return home for the summer, many parents may notice how many politically correct ideas they have acquired on campus. Some of those parents may wonder how they can undo some of the brainwashing that has become so common in what are supposed to be institutions of higher learning. The strategy used by General Douglas MacArthur so successfully in the Pacific during World War II can be useful in this very different kind of battle. General MacArthur won his victories while minimizing his casualties --

"You had to be underground," The Weather Channel´s Mike Bettes put it, "in order to survive this tornado." He was not exaggerating. The massive storm that hit Moore, Oklahoma yesterday -- featuring winds up to 200mph -- didn´t simply put those aboveground at risk of being swept up in its funnel. The tornado also took the smallest objects of everyday life -- down to pebbles and even dust -- and effectively converted them into bullets and shrapnel. Much of the carnage that so often results from tornadoes is the result of a terrible phenomenon known by an appropriately terrible

The public got its first look Thursday at Lois Lerner, who has gone from faceless IRS bureaucrat to the face that launched what feels like 1,000 congressional hearings and conspiracy theories. But it was only a brief sighting since she didn´t stay long at a House hearing to further probe her role in how some IRS workers came to target conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status. (Snip)She did make a short statement to declare her innocence, however. Lerner´s motivation was more transparent than much of what the IRS has done in connection with this controversy. She was determined to

When you get right down to it, the political targeting and stalling of tax-exempt applications by the IRS was an effort to defund the Tea Party. Rick Santelli, one of the Tea Party founders and my CNBC colleague, was the first to make this point. I’ve taken it a step further: The IRS was taking the Tea Party out of play for the 2012 election, as it looked to avoid a repeat of 2010 and another Tea Party landslide. There are a lot of numbers out there.

President Obama on Thursday nominated Victoria Nuland, a State Department official involved in the editing of the administration´s talking points on Benghazi, to be the next assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs. Nuland, a career foreign service officer who was until recently State´s top spokesperson, had long been expected to be nominated the post to replace Philip Gordon, who Obama picked to serve as Middle East coordinator for the National Security Council. Nuland´s nomination -- which requires Senate confirmation -- could come under scrutiny from Republicans who see her as playing a central role in shaping

Conservative radio host Mark Levin is very skeptical of the idea that President Obama had absolutely no idea about the IRS tea party targeting before the story broke in the news mere weeks ago. Levin declared adamantly that it is a “flat-out, bald-faced lie” that Obama didn’t know beforehand, citing prior reports by a few conservative news outlets picking up on the news well before the 2012 presidential election. Levin said, “I don’t believe for two seconds that Obama wasn’t aware of this.”

Anthony Weiner’s New York mayoral candidacy was only made more improbable today after he revealed that he visited a Houston psychiatric facility following his resignation from Congress in 2011. Haunted by scandal surrounding his sexually explicit online communications with women, the Democratic former congressman sought treatment for his compulsive behavior from mental health professionals at the Gabbard Center. According to its website, the facility provides “3-day outpatient psychiatric evaluation,” particularly to “professionals who are in personal or professional crises.” While Weiner did not disclose
