| Guns and gangs. Haven´t read anything from the Left about that. Certainly nothing from Congress. But with FBI statistics showing more than 1,500,000 members of recognized gangs across the nation and something like 33,000 recognized gangs in the FBI´s stats, you´d think Gun Control advocates would list these as a major target of their efforts, especially since gang activity is responsible for at least 48% of criminal and violent activity throughout the US. You´d be wrong.

Interesting point.
And don´t forget that the president gave 50 million dollars of stimulus money to Chicago, to mentor (give 24/7 escorts) to those chillun most likely to be victims of homicide - gangbangers.
How has that worked out? Not good, except it allowed older gangbangers to get on the federal payroll.

Gang culture is exploited through glorification in the entertainment industry. Gangster rappers have been VIP guests at the White House since Obama took up residence. Just how is this going to get solved?
Ann Coulter of course spun the information for self-promotion so now every time someone brings it up they´re called racist, but if you take gang violence and suicide out of our gun stats, you have a very low number.
American gang culture is fairly unique to our country. This is why that statistic matters so much.

An unarmed populace, in the face of gang gun violence, is a very good for those supporting big government. An unarmed populace is Much More reliant on government protection, and government in general.
The basic theme is less self reliance, and more government dependence. It´s all about power.

All they have to do is increase the severity of gun crimes to a federal felony, with mandatory sentence guidelines that are severe.
Why is this not discussed... even in Chicago? Is the issue more valuable than the solution? Are attys lobbying to keep criminals free to pad their pockets?

What person ever says what he really knows at a funeral? Eulogies bearing little or no resemblance to the deceased or to the facts are trotted out by people who are often bad actors, who though they know better, lie anyway. It´s almost acceptable behavior. But any truth about the deaths of U.S. Ambassador Christ Stevens and three other Americans appears to have been put six feet under as far as our current administration is concerned. Did Barack Obama in effect steal the election in 2012? It is impossible to know, of course, how matters would have played it if Americans had been told the truth about Benghazi. And what if the IRS had not hobbled conservative nonprofits (and therefore the movement) with extra scrutiny and consequent delay and expenses? But there can be no doubt that Obama helped himself by being able to claim that Al Qaeda was "on the run" and with an assist from Candy Crowley make Mitt Romney look bad on when he criticized Obama´s anti-terror policies.

Treasury Secretary Jack Lew on Friday urged congressional leaders to raise the debt limit and insisted that the White House is not going to negotiate over the increase because lawmakers have "no choice." "We will not negotiate over the debt limit," Lew wrote. "The creditworthiness of the United States is non-negotiable.
